Home to a 154-foot (47-meter) statue of the resplendent gold Lord Murugan, the Batu Caves are a must-see for anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur for the first-time. The UNESCO World Heritage Site consists of four limestone caves—Temple Cave, Dark Cave, Cave Villa, and Ramayana Cave—which are famously frequented by long-tailed gray macaques.

What are people saying about Batu Caves

FANTASTIC TOUR
This was a fantastic tour. The guide was knowledgeable, informative and courteous. We were picked up on time and dropped back off at the Ritz Carlton hotel. The Batu caves were interesting, but it's sad that they don't seem to try to clean up the trash all over the area. The fireflies boat ride was great. Wonderful meal at a seafood restaurant. Highly recommended.

Great way to see the highlights of KL
We had a great time exploring the Batu Caves and the stop at the Batik factory was cool. We loved going to the Royal Selangor Factory but wish it would have been an add on to to the School of Hard Knocks. We were disappointed that we just drove through Little India and China Town so decided to have our driver drop us off in China Town.

Good ride for the price
A pretty good ride for the price. Visited a pewter factory and a little Batik shop where they showed us how the Batik is painted. Batu caves were crowded but because of the holiday. The cave is definitely worth checking out, maybe not necessarily with a tour guide.

Flying visit to Kuala Lumpur
If you have a short period of time in Kuala Lumpur this is the trip to see the highlights, but be warned it is a long day. Our driver Aris was very informative and pleasant allowing us plenty of time at each location. The Batu Caves with the monkeys was great even if you do have to climb some steep steps. And to see fire flies in their natural habitat was amazing. The tour was very well organised and the communication was great
