This vintage apothecary in the French Quarter is a national historic landmark and the site of the first licensed pharmacist in the US. Shelves of potions, perfumes, surgical devices, and other questionable curiosities are on display behind the old-time soda fountain for a fascinating look into medical practices of the past.
Very informative, entertaining, and felt the guide was aware of all factors concerning safety, humor, intrigue, respect for the dead, the spirits, and the rich rich history all around us. Our guide pulled back a few veils. Very enjoyable.
Dartania was a very knowledgeable and charming guide. I appreciate how she kept it real, having studied some of this stuff myself. She showed care for everyone’s safety and was attentive and very interactive with the group.
I've been to NOLA a few times and I must say that this was such a great tour. It was awesome learning about the dark stories of the city. Donavan was such a great guide!!
It was a great place, saw some cool things- not hokey
Jodi was our tour guide- she was fantastic!! The tour wasn’t hokey or gimmicky which was nice- stories straight to the point and not embellished which I appreciated
There were 8 of us on the tour, and Trevor pointed out a lot of the filming locations for numerous movies and TV shows. We even got to enjoy a procession for both a wedding and a funeral, which was not part of the tour. However, being a senior, I was very tired at the end of the 2 hour tour. Highly recommend.
Had the most amazing tour. Mac was our guide, what can I say 10 out of 10! He was knowledgeable and passionate. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Big up to Mac from the flight attendants from the UK.
Bought this last-minute. Was a little disappointed to find nearly all reservations had to be made by phone and not online but was able to get on a ghost tour, boat tour, and went to lunch. We had fun at each place and found a lot of value on it. If you can plan ahead a little more you could probably get a ton of value out of it.
