Editor's note: If you're traveling to Rome during the Rome Jubilee (Dec 24, 2024–Jan 6, 2026), expect heavier traffic and restorations on major landmarks. Plan in advance to avoid disappointment, and note that there may be some last-minute disruption to tour inclusions.

St. Peter's Dome (Cupola di San Pietro), one of Italy’s most famous monuments, doesn't technically stand on Italian soil—it sits atop St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. Michelangelo’s architectural masterpiece is a symbol for Catholics around the globe and, as the highest dome in the world, offers spectacular views across St. Peter’s Square and Rome.

No skipping the security line…but otherwise great!
St Peters was amazing. There’s no such thing as “skipping the line” as the real line is the security check to get in and there’s no special entrance for tour groups like other attractions. Wait was about 1.5 hours. Disappointed that La Pieta had just been taken away for cleaning so we missed it! Not the tours fault but sucked nonetheless. Guide has great and climbing the dome is a must!

The best tour with Volodymyr!
We had an extremely good guide. We already visited the Sint Pieters basiliek before but our guide Volodymyr had so much more to tell and knew every detail of the basiliek. We could ask him everything so the tour was really very custom made.

A tour worth taking
Our tour guide Asunta is very good in explaining everything about the museum and the history while walking us through. Very patient in waiting for us to immerse and take pictures

Excellent Tour
Excellent tour with Maria. It is a must to see in Roma. We saw the detail of Dome. Pope’s grotto, and several details of St Peter.
