The basics

Translated, the name of this concert hall—Pesti Vigadó—means ""place of merriment,” which makes perfect sense once visitors step inside. The interior of this historic building features marble columns, an ornamental stairway, and frescoes adorning the walls. The panoramic terrace also offers fantastic views.

To see Vigadó's grand interior and main hall, you can prebook tickets and attend a concert, purchase a ""walking ticket,"" or secure a spot on a guided tour. For a small fee, you can explore with a guide and learn more about the building. Since the venue is just a short walk from the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, you can easily add stops at several of Pest's must-see attractions.
