Oförglömliga grottslangar och mayaruiner äventyr i Belize

Vår familjeutflykt i Belize var höjdpunkten på vår kryssning. Vår extraordinära guide Peter och chaufför Dorian gjorde upplevelsen verkligen speciell. Grottslangsäventyret började med en naturskön 30 minuters djungelvandring längs en väl underhållen stig, lätthanterlig för nästan vem som helst. Peters kunskap och entusiasm väckte grottsystemet till liv när vi flöt fridfullt genom kristallen - klart vatten i 20 minuter och tog in de magnifika kalkstensformationerna. Efter den uppfriskande grottupplevelsen körde vi norrut för att utforska gamla mayaruiner. Kombinationen av underjordiska grottsystem och historiska ruiner skapade en idealisk blandning av äventyr och kulturell utforskning. Denna utflykt passade perfekt för vår familj med äldre barn, och erbjuder både spänning och pedagogiskt värde. Rekommenderar starkt denna tur för familjer med barn som kan hantera lite lättare vandring!

Wayne (generalen) var mycket tillmötesgående och underhållande. Slangen är mycket skonsam. Wayne gav buggspray som definitivt behövdes och uppskattades. Mycket bekväm bil. Det finns omklädningsrum och duschar vid grottorna, ta med ombyte och handduk. Lunchen serverades på ett kafé vid grottorna, serverade en klassisk belize-måltid, var bra.

Paul väntade på oss precis utanför kryssningsterminalen som indikerat. Han gick glatt med på en liten förändring av planerna med oss, och vi var på väg. Grottorna är en magnifik upplevelse, och Paul var utmärkt att tillåta oss att njuta av lugnet och lugnet på resan. Jag skulle ha velat veta att det finns 9 grottor! Vi gjorde naturligtvis bara 1 på grund av schemat, men om du planerar i förväg, be att få göra minst 2 . De är fantastiska. Paul visade oss runt i staden och var fantastisk att chatta med. Vi njöt verkligen av vår dag och skulle definitivt rekommendera Paul och Private Belize Tours!

Detta var den enda turnén som erbjöd både grottrör och mayaruiner. Det är en väldigt privat turné, bara jag och min partner. Man måste köra fort för att ta sig till äventyr, men vår chaufför Dorian hade inga problem med det. Grottslangen krävde en längre promenad än förväntat, men det var värt det till slut. Bär badskor, försök inte barfota! ((Om du har problem med att gå är detta förmodligen inte en bra idé för dig.) Flacco var en utmärkt guide genom grottan. Vi tyckte verkligen mycket om honom. Sajten Altun Ha var fantastisk. Det är en väldigt öppen sida, så använd solskyddsmedel. Det var allt värt att göra. Se upp, för att komma till hamn krävs en vattentaxi. Fartyget (Carnival) lät oss inte lämna förrän deras fartygsturer redan hade avgått. Det tog en hel timme från det att vi åkte med taxibåten till att den lämnade fartyget och anlände till hamnen. Sedan, i sista minuten, informerade de oss om att vi måste vara tillbaka 3:15. Det gav oss bara 6 timmar för hela turnén. Ring ditt kryssningsrederi och fråga vilken tid du faktiskt kan komma till land och vilken tid du måste gå ombord på taxi för att komma tillbaka. Vårt fartyg sa att vi kom till hamn kl 8 och avgick kl 17. Men verkligheten var att vi kom till hamn klockan 9 och var tvungna att lämna klockan 15:15. Tack och lov tog vår privata förare väl hand om oss.

Vår reseguide var fantastisk - vi fick se så mycket och lärde oss mycket om området och platserna. Tyvärr stämde inte beskrivningen helt då lunch skulle ingå men inte. Gör en lång dag utan tid att äta. Beskrivningen måste uppdateras. I övrigt var det en fantastisk dag.

Great tour with Paul!

Our guide Paul was very knowledgeable and did everything possible to ensure we had a great experience! Our trip was a little different since we were traveling right in the middle of covid, so it was just the the two of us, (my husband and me) and some places we would normally have stopped were closed down, (Paul recommended a restaurant called Amigo’s that looked like it would have been great!) But even with us being in the midst of a pandemic Paul was excellent and knowledgeable, and gave us a great tour of the ruins at Altun Ha (literally private as no one else was even at the park) and he made sure we made it safely through the cave tubing even when some extra paddling was required in the shallow parts! Paul did an excellent job, and we would highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Belize!

Do not miss the Cave Tubing! Our guide, Ellsworth, was awesome and very funny! He was very knowledgeable about the island and made sure to keep us happy. I definitely recommend requesting him! We drove out to the caves while he pointed out various interesting things. Once at the excursion start, we had a 30 minute hike to the cave that was full of beautiful greenery and interesting things to see. Ellsworth pointed out different plants and things along the way. When we got to the cave mouth the real adventure began. It was just magnificent and Ellsworth pulled us along and made sure we were safe and together the whole time. After we had an authentic island lunch and Ellsworth stopped to purchase us bottles of water. We were short on time due to our boat arriving late so we opted not to do Altun Ha even though Ellsworth assured us we could make it. Instead, he gave us a driving tour of Belize City which was very interesting and worth seeing and we stopped for pictures by the water. If you do not want to do a lot of driving, I suggest doing just the Cave Tubing. It is an hour from port to the cave then an hour to Altun Ha and an hour back to the port. There are also a number of things you can do enroute to the cave tubing as well as zip lining at the cave.

Private is the best way to do this tour. Our driver was waiting for us when we got off the cruise ship and we left immediately. We were to the caves and tubing before the other tours had even gotten to the beginning. This allowed us to be in the caves without a lot of people in them, so we could truly appreciate them. We were only four people our group and our guide in these beautiful caves just cruising down the river in a tube hearing all about the history and story behind what we were seeing. The hike of 30 minutes almost deterred us, as we had a 75 year old in our group with a bad knee, but it was not bad. Our guide was kind and carried her tube for her, so she had no problem. After cave tubing, we went to the amazing ruins Altun Ha. Keep in mind there is about an hour ride in between. We had a nice lunch on the way of bbq chicken that was fantastic. Altun Ha was a beautiful Mayan ruin and our guide was passionate about the history. He gave so much wonderful information and was happy to answer any questions. We had just enough time to pick up a couple of mementos at the ruins before heading back to the ship. We had a wonderful guide who made this trip magical.

Our guide was Gavin and did everything perfectly. He was prompt and very informative about his country. Due to rain we were unable to do the tubing portion so he took us to see some howler monkeys in the wild, which was pretty cool. This is a good tour if you want to experience the personal touch.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this,it's a private tour, not a tour bus,our driver was very knowledgeable about Belize and the ruins,we were able to make a couple quick stops for local wine and choc tea, diff guide for tubing who was also fabulous,a bit of a hike but beautiful, book this!

We did not stop in Belize due to a Hurricane brewing up. Viator gave a FULL refund. NO problem just gave us the refund. Have used Viator before and have had great time. NEVER us a CRUISE LINE tour - nothing but a CATTLE CALL.

Outstanding! Our guide was waiting for us with a sign as we got off the water taxi from San Pedro. Loved the private experience and personal one on one treatment at the ruins and at the cave tubing. It felt like an outing with a friend rather than a tour. Professional, friendly, and informative.

This was definitely a great tour encompassing both things we were interested in on the same day. Since we were cruising, only had a single day in the country, and had very limited time with it being a tender port, it did feel very rushed. I would recommend picking one activity or the other if you only have about seven hours in the country since there's a good deal of driving between locations. That said, our guide, Kent, made the driving time absolutely worth it since he kept up an interesting and informative conversation throughout the entire ride, pointing out interesting things to see so there was never a dull moment. If you only have plans to visit the one time and want to do both activities, this is probably the best way to do so.

We were met at the port by our guide Gerson--very easy to find and on time. He was a great guide, very knowledgeable, and smart! It was raining when we got to Belize City, so he suggested that we go to the cave tubing first since it would be out of the rain. We were the first tour through the caves that morning, which was amazing. Very easy walk to the entrance of the caves. The water level was low, so he had to spend some time wading and pulling us through, which he did without complaint! Loved this part of the tour--an experience that should not be missed. After the cave tubing, we went up to Altun Ha, and arrived just after the last tour bus left--we had the place to ourselves. Gerson was full of information and answered every question that we had. Because of his creative thinking and flexibility of scheduling, not to mention his awesome driving skills! we made back to port ahead of schedule, allowing us time for shopping and a little more sightseeing. His English was perfect, and he understood every corny joke and innuendo that we made!

This tour was the best. My boyfriend and I watched tour buses take 45 minutes to just get off the bus and take a bathroom break. This tour allowed us to get in and out of places more quickly. That being said, we went to a bunch of places to take photos and learn more about the history of Belize. I have raved about this tour experience and forever will spoil ourselves with private tours from here on out.
