Absolutely enchanted by the city tour of Cluj Napoca. The city tour was a captivating journey through time, revealing a tapestry of architectural wonders, vibrant culture, and rich history. Ascending the Fireman Tower, the city panorama unfolded like a living painting, the blend of Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance architectures in sync with modern elements. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the city. A definite 5-star experience, highly recommended for everyone.

Incredibly Wonderful, Informative and Personable Tour of the Beautiful City of Cluj Napoca

Our, guide, Andrea, met us early at the agreed upon meeting point next to the statue in the square. She first sat us down and gave us a remarkable history of Cluj dating back to the year 200 AD to understand the evolution of the culture and heritage of the city. We then proceeded to walk all over the most important places with in depth history and stories about all of them. Andrea was so knowledgeable and fun to be with we hated to part with her at the end of the tour. We highly recommend Andrea to anyone visiting Cluj Napoca.

Not the tour I paid for

I booked as did another party of 11 people for entrance to the Banffy Palace, National Museum & Botanical Gardens on 30 Sept 2019. The party of 11 had not received the information to meet in the Square, so the lovely guide & I hung around the Square for over an hour waiting for them to arrive. Everyone in the group thought we had booked for the Banffy Place tour, it turns out the Banffy Palace & Museums are not open on Mondays, however our tickets stated Monday 30 Sept & the attractions we were to see. The group of 11 left the tour after an hour. I emailed Viator the same day & yet to receive a response. This was an expensive tour & the tour guide was very nice & knowledgable, however, it is not what I paid for.

Dear Jenny, We are sorry for the experience that you have. A few clarifications are necessary to avoid any misunderstanding. 1. The other group was informed with 48 hours before the tour starts about the meeting point. As you have been notified by an email from TripAdvisor about the meeting point, the same they received one message. We don't have access to their email addresses, and all notification is through TripAdvisor. We are following the same procedure with all our clients. If they booked through a travel agency, they went notified for sure. 2. The group decided to leave the tour only after one hour because they had a table reserved for1 PM. This was their decision and had nothing to do with the trip or the guide. As you said, she was very professional. 3. This is a walking tour and no entrance fees included. We are entering only in Cathedral, but this is closed now. Thank you for let us know about your experience, and based on that, we have improved the communication between tourists and us, especially regarding the entrance fees.
