Thank you for your feedback Rebecca and for bringing your opinion to the attention here as well as in our email communications.
We thought that 'almost a free tour would have made you satisfied if our gorgeous nature of Bohemian Switzerland in autumn did not.
You failed to mention in your review here, the refunds you received after your tour and our post-tour communication. The amount you paid in the end only covered the minimum cost of transport, snacks and lunch on your tour.
We understand that you were trying to get a free tour but unfortunately, it was not possible when you agreed to take the tour during our detailed communication about it the day before your tour. You had an option to cancel your tour if you wanted but you decided to take the tour and it's unfair to paint a picture that we forced you into taking this tour.
They say that 'The Beauty lies in the Eyes of the beholder'. Your feedback and experience justify this say very well. While others on this tour gave us five-star reviews and encouragement you thought of it very differently.
We as a business and people starve to make long-lasting friends by connecting people to nature and it's disheartening to meet with people who show straight disrespect to our nature and to our team.
As far as it comes to your particular hike, You chose an easy hike option, The wildfire that we had, did not affect your particular hike so your itinerary remained similar with minor changes (Plus situations change very often in nature, so we do not contact every future guest unnecessarily to send any miscommunications).
Our social media platforms are full of all the latest news on the travel situation here and our regular tours (check #bohemiadventures).
As we mentioned to you during our post-tour email communication, we would like to repeat here, We are sorry that you found that the hike was not as easy as you expected and the views were not so impressive for you.
We are people connected to nature and we understand the discomfort you experienced, It cannot be easy hiking with aggravated knee issues, complicated hip disorders or even after suffering a stroke.
All of which, had we known beforehand, we would have strongly advised against even our easy hike because it is, after all, a hike through a wild national park with uneven trails, steps etc, and even on a dry sunny day the trails can be slippery and care must be exercised, experienced hiker or not.
As far as it comes to our guide Ondrej, Please check some of our current reviews to see, how much praise and appreciation he is getting from travellers around the world for his experience, care, knowledge and judgements.
He did make an error by not informing us about his early morning arrival on his tour day. or we would have scheduled a different guide. Our guides are scheduled weeks before their tours so they are very well aware of their tour plans. So again we would like to apologise for it. We spoke to Ondrej after our first post-tour communication and he accepted his error of judgement. We definitely took this very seriously and briefed our team about it. We will make sure that does not happen again.
Having said that, we know for a fact that Ondrej will take this as a learning process and perhaps a little more experience will help him to take a better decision in this kind of situation.
To wrap up our reply to your feedback, 'The Bohemian and Saxon national park you said 'do not worth the effort', is considered by the European Union as a fairytale land.
This national park is enchanted by the ancient and mythically beautiful natural landscape of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. With more than 700 square kilometres of space, it is one of Europe’s last large wildernesses.
The most beautiful parts of this region, with its valuable flora and fauna, are protected as a cross-border national park and this is where you come with us on your tour. We take you to the hidden wild side of the national park and if this does not excite you then you are right, it's not for you.
If this sandstone wilderness of Elbe, is something you did not enjoy then hey, there was nothing else we could do to make you feel relaxed, comfortable and happy.
In the end, we wish you good health and we hope that one day you'll start to enjoy the uniqueness of nature in various places around the world. Good health, both physical and mental is something so important to find little happiness we think. We wish you to be healthy.
Thank you and love from everyone here at Bohemia Adventures.
