We had a great day, saw all sites including Palm, Jumeriah, markets, 20 min stops for photos. Plenty of stops with restrooms and opportunities to buy snacks. Our guide Suhail was great, very good English and gave us good advice, easy going and made us feel at ease. Headsets given to listen to lots of info on Dubai too. While I enjoyed the shared trip overall, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of pacing and itinerary planning. I felt that there were not as many points of interest included in the itinerary as I had understood from the info provided. While the locations we visited were undoubtedly beautiful, I would have appreciated a more diverse range of experiences and attractions along the way and a more engaged and informative tour guide could have enriched the experience further. I offer these comments constructively, to enhance future trips and ensure an even more fulfilling experience for all involved.

We booked this trip on the basis of getting a whistle stop day trip to Dubai whilst staying in Abu Dhabi, in hindsight, we wish we'd just got a taxi and done a hop-on/hop-off bus once there. We were unfortunate in that we were the first to be collected, so it felt like we spent an hour in the minivan before meeting the coach for the 2hour drive to Dubai. We cannot fault the tour guide, Suhail, he was very good and knowledgeable. The stops for photos were quick but fine to get the views, however we weren't expecting a half hour stop at a souk - this wasn't on our itinerary and not really of interest to us. And were really uncomfortable with being dropped off at an 'art museum' for half hour where we were sat in room and given the hard-sell on rugs... really disappointing and an absolute waste of time. What was most frustrating, was that these stops meant we didn't get to Dubai Mall until 13:30, and the fountain show during the day runs from 13:00-13:30, so we missed it. We then had to rush to get up & back down the Burj Khalifa and grab some food before getting back on the bus at 15:30, a quick photo stop at the Dubai Marina and we were back on the bus for the 2hours back to Abu Dhabi and the hour trip dropping everyone off again. Overall, we spent hours getting there and back, to see very little. In future, we will pick out a couple of things we want to see, and make private arrangements rather than booking a tour like this one.

Whistle stop tour of Dubai with shopping stops including the 'art showroom'

Although the tour was as described, it does have some failings. It's basically a series of photo stops to see highlights of Dubai whilst be dropped at various shopping outlets. The main worry was the driving. Our driver seemed very distracted on the way to Dubai - rubbing his eyes as though very tired and seeming to spend most of the journey texting on his phone and making a few phone calls, allowing the minibus to weave within the lane. The first souk was fine and very touristy - but if you walk straight through to the far side you get a good view of the Burj Al Arab, which probably beats the later view. Then there's the 'art showroom'. Why? Dropped in a unit that looks like the store room of a local rug store, marshalled into a small display room and the handless door is pushed shut behind you whilst the salesman hard sells intricate hand made rugs. After insisting we play 'guess the price' he finally revealed a cost of £7,000 or €10,000 (interesting exchange rate) for the first rug he'd shown us, but said for that he'd arrange delivery to anywhere in the world. We had to do a non-English thing and walk out whilst he was talking else we thought we'd never escape. My advice - when the van stops at the art store don't go into the building. Arriving at the Dubai Mall about 13:00 and told we'd be collected 17:15, we were given our tickets for the Burj Khalifa and left to our own devices. We walked inside and almost instantly found paper maps. We probably did need this amount of time there to allow for getting up and down the tower, having a couple of drinks and an explore of the mall. This meant we arrived back in Abu Dhabi around 19:00, much later than expected after our 08:30 start and messing up dinner arrangements. Basically, there's too much to see and do in a day trip so this is a quick snapshot and a trip up the Burj Khalifa. But the local driving and that art shop I could do without.

The driver was extremely nice and we are overall happy we went on this tour. However, there was a few things. I feel like the stops were a bit rushed especially the souk and the mall and burj kalifa in combination I could have spent a little bit more time on. I feel like it would have been nice to have given a map of the mall to make sure we'd find our way back to the car from the mall. So on that note I would give the tour 4 stars. But the craft store I really feel like I could have been spared. The reviews on the place are not very good, and I to me it was an uncomfortable experience. The salesmen/women were just too eager. They followed you around and kept trying to push products on you - to me it was quite stressful. I realise it is a matter of cultural relativism, but we talked to other participants about it, because I could tell the other lady was obviously uncomfortable too and we both went back to the car early because of it. Had we skipped this and seen something else or just stayed longer at the souk, I'd probably have kept it at 4 stars.

However, the rushed stops at the souk and the mall, combined with the Burj Khalifa visit, left you wanting more time. Providing a mall map could have been helpful. The craft store visit was less pleasant, with pushy salespeople making it uncomfortable. Skipping it in favor of a different experience or more time at the souk might have maintained a 4-star rating. Despite these minor drawbacks, it's clear that the tour had its highlights and overall left you satisfied with the experience.

This was good tour to get a quick review of the biggest tourist places in Dubai. Just keep in mind the Burj khalifa line is very very long and takes up almost most of your time in the mall so make sure to go up as soon as you get there. Our driver did come late but it did allow us some extra time in the mall to look around and eat more. Overall good tour !

We were collected promptly from our hotel. The car was clean and cool. Our driver pointed out many places of interest along the way to Dubai. The stops in Dubai were for the most part fantastic and we can’t fault our driver for getting us our tickets and showed the way to the burj Kahlifa this was most helpful as we were under time pressure. We were however taken by surprise when we were taken to a “ Gallery of traditional crafts “ this however turned out to be a very arkward and pressuring sales pitch of rugs and wall art. This is the only part of the day that left us disappointed and lost for wards. I would recommend the trip but remove that stop as part of the tour. It was a great day to remember

Didn’t really know where we were going to be stopping each time until we stopped. However the tower & views were spectacular. Prerecorded running commentary sounded like a commercial at times.
