What To Expect

Receive a morning pickup from your driver at your accommodations in Agra, continuing aboard an air-conditioned minivan to the city of Uttar Pradesh. You’ll make your first stop of the day at Fatehpur Sikri, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour.

Discover highlights of this ancient Mughal capital city with the aid of a guide, stopping to admire the impressive “Buland Darwaza” gate built in 1601 and one of the best-preserved examples of Mughal architecture. You’ll also get to visit the “Diwan-E-Khas,” a royal chamber once used by the Mughal emperor Akbar. The chamber’s luxurious adornment with precious stones make a great spot for photography.

Leave Fatehpur Sikri and travel for another 3 hours to the city of Rajasthani city of Abhaneri, where you’ll stop for an independent exploration of the “Chand Baori” stepwell. Designed by King Chanda between 800 and 900, this geometrically symmetrical water reservoir is as visually beautiful as it is functional. You’ll leave Abhaneri behind and drive for one more hour to reach Jaipur, where you’ll be dropped off at your preferred final destination.

The driver was excellent and very attentive. Smooth journey and driving. The guide at Fatehpur Sikri was very informative and welcoming. Great way to see the sites and commute.

Driver was on time, guide was friendly and knowledgeable. But i didn't expect a shopping session, though it wa not compulsory. The tour is a bit too pricey compare with other choices with reversed direction. But overall the experience was pleasant.

This tour was a very easy way to move from Agra to Jaipur, without missing the Abhaneri Stepwells and Fatehpur Sikri in the process. Our guide was knowledgeable, but a little stand-offish. Very friendly driver. Pick-up information was confirmed prior to the start of the tour, which was nice.

Our guide Pamod was very friendly and knowledgable about the history and we had a very good time. He was a great photographer taking charge of my cell, while I fumbled with my large camera. However on this tour, your time with a guide is very short. The majority of time is spent with your driver. And unlike all of our other interactions with drivers on our 2 weeks in India this was awful. I received an email confirmation with time, car, driver, license etc. Driver was no where to be found. Hotel located the car in their lot, but no driver. After trying his number, with no answer I approached a man and asked if he was our driver. I showed him the confirmation and was told NO. Recognizing a guide from a previous tour, I enlisted his help in locating my driver. The man I approached, was my driver! It was a miserable trip to meet our guide, with only grunts as responses. After Fatehpur Sikfri, where you leave your guide he instructed him to take us to lunch in twenty minutes, then on to Stepwells and lastly our hotel. After 2 hours of grunts and silence, I told the driver we wanted to go directly to the hotel and no visit the Stepwells. I finally got a response! Lunch? No Stepwells? No Hotel? Yes! Our driver only grunted, because he didn't speak much English. The tour was for an English speaking driver and guide. Extremely disappointed, as there was so much to be heard about the countryside, agriculture etc. to be heard. Instead we had four hours of silence. No offer to stop and use the toilet. Fortunately it was not necessary.
