We had an enjoyable day visiting this beautiful area of Iceland! The guide was friendly and the mini-bud was very nice. Although we had a minor mechanical problem, the company provided a replacement vehicle while at one of the planned stops. Highly recommend going to the thermal baths when you have the opportunity. My only improvement to offer would be less time at the crater/bathroom stop and less time at gift shop/restaurant area as that caused us to have minimal time exploring the sulphuric springs and the “Mars” area. Overall it was a good tour and worth the value we paid.

Variety of stops. This is a must your from Akureyri. Wonderful insight to the northern delights of Iceland.

Great trip! Must improve their pick up procedures so travelers do not miss a fabulous trip.

We took our trip 9/9/23.The excursion was wonderful and our driver and guide "Biggy" was suburb. He took us everywhere and explained everything about the sights we were seeing as well as facts about living in Iceland, its culture and history. 5 stars! The pick up was terrible. There was a change in where the ship was docked So they changed where they did the pick up but we didn't know that. Imagine Iceland had someone holding a sign along with dozens of others holding signs. There were buses and vans all over the place. We weren't expecting that and walked to the pick up point that was listed on the ticket. The vans should have been told to drive by that pick up point to see if anyone was there before leaving on a tour. There were 6 of us waiting for more than 20 min. Someone called Viator and asked what was going on. A van showed up finally but it only had room for 2 and the owner was not going to call for another van. He was upset with us that we didn't see him at the pier! The other 4 missed the trip. 1 Star!

The scenery was breathtaking. A country of contrast. Beautiful and brutal. 5 star rating was not possible as the minibus left the pickup point late. The driver/ tour guide was racing to get ahead of the large coaches which impacted on our time at the stop off points.

This was an absolutely terrific tour. Despite some rainy weather and crowds at some of the attractions we were able to navigate the crowds and see everything. One of the very best tours we've ever taken.

the tour itself was wonderful BUT . . the guy that was checking us in to a van/bus for the tour was very rude and so unorganized. Our van left 25 minutes late (after all the other vans) because he couldnt figure out who was to be on our van. Thw was a poor way to start the tour.

This was a great tour with a very knowledgeable driver. He made adjustments to the sites seen based on the group's interest. Topography in this area near the volcano was fascinating.

Need more time at Godafoss and nature bath

We were allowed only 20-25 min at Godafoss, the major site of this tour. It is ready not enough time. Our tour guide also gave us 20 min at the America and Europe plates but that site only needed 10 min. The tour ended early and he dropped us off at the shopping area. We were five 1 hour at the nature bath hot springs including lunch which is way not enough time. A few couples were late and we had to rush and skipped lunch all together. Wish the tour would allow more time at the important sites. All the sites were very interesting and worth seeing.

Stunning waterfalls and amazing scenery in the Lake Myvatn area. Only comment is that it is a long time on a small bus and the seats were very uncomfortabe, but the sights are amazing. The nature bath was a welcome treat at the end.

Disappointing!

45 mins in, 1st stop for restroom closed, stopped at an alternate rustic restroom. Next stop, waterfalls facility closed. Then on to waterfalls, troll site, mud pits - brief but awesome. Next stop, hot baths closed. This was highly anticipated! Added a stop to a cave which was good. Then headed back. After 4 hrs from 1st restroom break, stressed we needed restroom, but driver said there were no facilities then proceeded to add on an extended tour of town (without asking) apparently to stretch out time since we got back early. Desperate to urinate, we got off bus in town. Told driver a 5.5 trip with only one early restroom break was not acceptable especially since the need was voiced before returning to town and her unexpected tour of the town. Town was unremarkable and a waste of time, Glad driver was so proud of Iceland, but hearing stories about her children, seeing their school and her not knowing the operating hours of the scheduled stops was again unacceptable. She was a very nice person, but tour disappointed our group. Would appreciate a partial refund, as it was not worth the $202 price per person. I really hate leaving a negative review, but we've been on 30+ tours so we're not novices. Had to wait a couple of days to review because was so unhappy.

A good way to see some interesting parts of Iceland.

Excellent tour. Our guide was amazing and that makes or breaks the trip. We experienced Iceland at its best and saw all the area attractions. We even signed up for their nighttime Northern Lights tour as our ship changed itinerary and was staying over night there. Top notch. If only all tours were this good. Five stars isn’t enough to rate this tour and company. Communication was excellent as well as ability to add voucher to wallet on iPhone. We’ll done!

Excellent guide ("Mr T")- very amiable. Lots of stops. Nice small coach though windows could have been cleaner for better visibility. Other tour companies provided protective wear from the flies- this would have been nice. The guide was so great it all felt perfect though. Would recommend.

From start to finish this was an amazing day! “Viggi” was a great tour guide, knowledgeable & personable! He took the time to answer every question that was asked. Everything we saw was beautiful! My earth science husband couldn’t wipe the grin off his face. We highly recommend this, you’re sure to have a fun day! We always enjoy the smaller tour experiences & this one fully met our expectations, with 18 of us. Pickup was at cruise dock & we were returned to same spot.
