Although there were not many tulips in bloom on the grounds at Keukenhof, the gardens were still beautiful and in one of the pavilions there were hundreds of different varieties of tulips on display. The visit to Zaanse Schans was also great with the wooden shoe-making demonstration, the cheese tasting, and of course the lovely windmills. We highly recommend this tour.

EXCELLENT TRIP - WITH THE BEST GUIDE EVER!
Della_B, Mar 2024
This trip had been recommended by a friend. We had to meet at 9.20am near Amsterdam Centraal Station - it's a 5-6 minute walk from the main entrance. You meet at a coffee shop (but can't get a coffee), but there is a loo ........ before the coach journey. The coach was big and luxurious. Our driver was great. We all felt safe and comfortable. Everything was so very well organised. Diana (our Dutch guide) introduced herself. Her English is excellent. Our first stop was to Keukenhof. An easy walk from the car park, we were ushered to the front of the queue and then Diana gave you the option of following her to the windmill, which we did. Meandering through the beautiful tulips and hyacinths and then arriving at the windmill, which you can go up to the top of. Then, a great surprise. A Dutch band (all dressed as cows) started playing. Oh, they were fabulous. Diana said she hadn't seen them before. Everyone was dancing and laughing and having fun. We could have stayed there all day. We then left Diana and walked over to BEATRIX (a big glass house) to see the most fantastic orchids! We had 3.5 hours at Keukenhof. You could spend all day there, but we made our way around, had a coffee and cake. They do say to eat at Keukenhof, and although there are a few cafes, it's mainly coffee, cake, pizza, chips. You could always take a little packed lunch! I would add that Keukenhof is very well organised - everywhere is so clean - no negative comments whatsoever - we loved it. Back onto the coach and off we went to a village called Zaanse Schans. We had a quick clog making demonstration, then went into another large hut, to have a demo on cheese-making. We got to try lots of cheese! We then walked around to see the windmills - what a beautiful site. Some of them are still working emails. Our last stop was a little shop, where we had a super coffee and a waffle! Oh, and I would add, there is no hard sale here - you wander around at your leisure. There is a toilet at Zaanse Schans too. We had to meet back on the coach at 4.30pm, and then drove back to Amsterdam Centraal. When the trip said '9 hours', we thought the day would drag, but it didn't - it went all so quickly - maybe because everything was so well organised! Anyone thinking about doing this trip - I highly recommend it. I must also say that Diana was fantastic. One of the best guides we have ever had. So knowledgeable and professional and funny! If only all guides were like Diana - excellent. Thank you. And, again, thanks to the great driver - TOP MARKS!
Wonderful tulips and windmills

While a little early in the season, the trip to the Keukenhof was amazing. The grounds are just beautiful and the colors unbelievable. We had quite a rainy, windy day so the windmill trip was a little challenging but still very worth it. The guide and bus were both top notch. Very good value for all you get!

While it was early in the season, our driver was able to find some fields that had tulips blooming in the fields too. He went out of his way to ensure our experience was amazing. Everyone was kind, helpful, and ensured that everything went perfectly.

Great guide made it a success despite bad weather in the Gardens.
Zoe_K, Mar 2024
The guide Ms. Evgeniya Seizova was exceptional. She was a great leader and educator. She was telling us all about our excursion, the places we visited, stories, history with great humor and care. I have taken other tours but guides are usually covering the basics and let us on our own to discover the rest. She was very profound and cheerful despite the bad weather and rain. She deserves a praise and big thank you from the travelers.

Tulips and Windmills in the Netherlands
Michelle_H, Mar 2024
We weren't sure if the second day of the tulip fields would have many flowers since it was still so early in the season. They said the gardens are staggered with flowers blooming the entire two months of being open and our experience was more than we hoped for. Our guide, Eva, was amazing. She was so knowledgeable with all the farming history and she really cared for us and made us feel valued. I highly recommend this tour!

We had a great day! The weather was not the best for our tour but it was still wonderful. We absolutely loved the gardens, the cheese tasting, clog demonstration, and just looking all around the village and windmills. Found some nice souvenirs, too, and make your own hot chocolate! It was a great day and we learned a ton of great information from our tour guide!

Beautiful day trip!
Dawn_C, Mar 2024
Zaanse Schans was a beautiful area with live demonstrations for cheese making and wooden shoes. You are able to go inside the windmills too for about 6 euros. Keukenhof tulip festival is only open about 8 weeks. Highly recommend if you’re in the area at that time. Beautiful!

My favorite day of our visit. It was nice to see the outskirts of town then visit the beautiful tulip gardens. Then we got to see clogs being made and how cheese is made as well. The quaint area was great to tour. It was a full day. Our tour guide Diana, was personable and knowledgeable. Our bus driver was great.

Amazing knowledgeable guide, spectacular gardens and amazing weather. Just perfect. Lovely way to spend a day.
Fun without the fields 🌷
Kelly_A, Jun 2023
Would have given five stars had we gotten to stop at a tulip field:( it seemed before we left our leader knew that wasn’t an option so I was disappointed that it had been advertised as such. The rest of the trip was delightful as expected! Great guide and neat experience!
Great tour activity
Joe_M, Jun 2023
Tour to the keukenhof gardens and windmills was great... our guide was very knowledgeable, and very hospitable to everyone. We had a great time... just the gardens was way too big to explore in just about 3 hours. We even had the chance to visit a cheese factory. A definite must tour for everyone especially for first time visitors.

Diane_R, May 2023
I wished for more time at Zaanse and less at the cheese store. Maybe less time at the Garden due to the spent tulips later in the season.
Highly recommended tour and company

Excellent service, communication and information, highly recommended. Happy to with the way the whole tour was run. Well done
Fun tour
Chris_L, May 2023
Great tour and our guide was very informative and helpful. I would recommend going in March or April as May is the end of the season and a lot of the tulips are dead already.
Great tour
Rahman_U, May 2023
Great tour with wonderful tour guide Linda. Wonderful to see the tulips in full bloom. A must see tour when in Amsterdam
Beautiful flowers
Tammy_L, May 2023
Beautiful, too bad about the torrential rain. I’m sure it would have been much more enjoyable had it been nice out.
Wonderful day of tulips and windmills!
Kathy_B, May 2023
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The Keukenhof Gardens were so beautiful! Wished we’d had more time there. The Zaanse Schans Windmills were interesting to see and there were some cute shops. However, the time allotted there was too long. Our tour guide, Diana, was friendly and informative and really made the tour enjoyable.

Katio_B, May 2023
The windmills were great and best part of the trip, disappointed with Keukenhof Gardens as I’d say 40-50% of the flowers were either dead or dying being the last day. I feel it didn’t look like the pics because of this and should probably end earlier.
