We ONLY pick up from Kapparis, Pernera, Protaras and Ayia Napa areas for this tour. Please provide your hotel name at time of making the booking so we can arrange your pick up time. Approximate pick up times: Kappari, Pernera & Protaras - 7:45am - 8am Ayia Napa - 8:15am - 8:30am If you are staying outside of this areas please advise how you will be travelling to this areas so we can arrange a pick up point for you.

Atos was amazing! he’s so passionate about famagusta which made the tour so much more interesting, definitely recommend going on this tour if you want to know more of the history of cyprus and how it became divided!

What can I say about this excursion? It was exceptional! Athos is the ideal tour guide, he told us about the history of the city & the chronicle of the invasion, he showed us each building in detail & gave us dozens of information about everything we encountered on our way. The tour guide himself lived through the events of the period there & comes from northern Cyprus. He managed to tell us so many important things about this painful region, but he also managed to entertain us with his humor. I thank him very much! If you are thinking of visiting Famagusta, this is the tour you should choose.

The tour is impressive, the guide was fantastic, full of knowing and will to share it, tell us much more than the necessary. Athos is a son of Varosha and remember it has it was, beautiful, developed and full of magic and charme.

Fascinating Insight

Mini bus arrived on time (actually a little early). I was the second of four pick-ups so we were under way quite quickly. George, our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and friendly as were the other guides that we met up with at Famagusta. First stop was a small auditorium where we has a short "before and after" video before driving over the border to the deserted resort town. This was very interesting not only seeing the deserted building and knowing that it is a Buffer Zone but also seeing how nature is reclaiming the land. If there is ever a settlement I imagine this area will be bulldozed and become another modern concrete jungle. Afterwards we had one hour free time in the old city, which was quite enough as everything is quite close together. Well preserved with plenty of scenic old buildings. All-together well worth doing.

Really excellent trip. Knowledgable guide who was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions. Good amount of time to look around Varosha and then a stop in the old town of Famagusta. We travelled with four young children so were a little anxious it would be difficult for them or they would get bored but they loved it too. Highly recommended.

We had a guide name Atmos. Excellent guide which shared his story frome the time Varosha was a laivly town. Amazing to se what happened to a once modern town and the time stand still for 50 years. One of few places in the wold.

Very informative and interesting trip. Lots of information given about what happened in 1974. Bit spooky seeing the empty buildings, which have now mainly been stripped of their contents.

Not worth the money

The driver arrived on time but couldn’t speak English. We met the guide in Famagusta and the guide (the boss of the company) seemed to be in a hurry to finish the tour and not very interested in guiding us. He didn’t even do an effort to try to secure that everyone in the group could here what he said. He only gave a minimum of guidance during the walk in Famagusta. Seeing Famagusta was still interesting and therefore the tour reach 1 star. But the tour was not worth the money.

As this is a very informative and detailed tour all our drivers are carefully selected to be able to not only speak english but to be able to provide the necessary details for our tragic history. The boss of the company doesnt do Famagusta so once again puzzled as to whom you are refering to. I can only apologise that you didnt enjoy our number one tour.

Interesting little trip to the north

This trip up north was a must-do on my list in my few days in Cyprus. Pick up/drop off was at our hotel which was great, getting through the border etc was an ease with the tour. Enough time to walk around famagusta, and learn a little about what it was like in the past and the situation now. Some free and easy time at the old town but it's a little touristy. We just sat down for some Turkish coffee. I do recommend also reading up from the other side POV. Tour was great to manage all the logistics.

An Amazing insight into history!

What an informative tour! I came to Cyprus to see the ghost town of Famagusta . Great tour guide, himself a victim of the Turkish invasion. We walked the empty streets, with endless buildings now in danger of falling down. So many people displaced, and no immediate chance of ever returning to their own homes. I felt humbled to be there.

Broken seating in the...

Broken seating in the minibus which made the travelling uncomfortable and no communication from the guide on this aspect on entry to the minibus????

This was very much communicated both by the office when we called you to tell you that we had issues with the seats and driver is delayed as we are trying to repair it and by the driver apologising for being late as there was issues with one of the seats. Unfortunately it could not be repaired on that particular day and so to not cancel the tour the driver had to make do. Mini bus has since been repaired. Sorry your whole tour experience was focused on this incident.
