    Learning about the peace wall and gates and that the conflict endures to the present. A wonderful experience with an amazing guide. We also enjoyed the Goil Experience.

    I really enjoyed the black taxi ride. I learned a lot about the troubles. But after the ride I was told it was over and was not taken to the Crumlin Road Gaol Tour even though that is what I booked and paid for.

    Our tour guide, Martin, grew up during the conflict and was such a great storyteller. He was a font of knowledge, and we were all shocked at how little we really knew about the conflict current conditions here. The Gaol tour was anticlimactic after the taxi tour.

    Right from the off we were totally enthralled by our guide Danny who was extremely informative and engaging as well as being funny and down to earth. Despite the subject matter, he was very upbeat and conveyed how important it is to know as much as possible across the conflict and information that might not have been widely known. We learnt so much - I grew up watching The Troubles on the TV in England and after the tour and also accessing the documentaries he recommended I feel I know a lot more about the wider issues and information that had previously been withheld. Also seeing the murals and how people are still living with the peace walls. Afterwards we went to the Gaol which was another important aspect of the history of Belfast. We also ate there and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend.

    This tour was excellent! Very interesting and one of our most memorable experiences. We did not spend much time at the jail, but the black taxi tour is a MUST to understand the history and current state of Belfast/Northern Island. Do not hesitate. Book this tour.

    I grew up in Northern Ireland so sharing the story of the Troubles with my partner and child felt very important. Isaac did a great job of sharing an unbiased account of the historical facts and where we stand today as a country. It is wonderful to see how our little country is moving on from the hate filled and violate past is lovely to see. This tour with Black Cab Tours is thoroughly recommended.

    With little knowledge of “the troubles” we went on this tour to get an understanding of what “really happened”. This tour will not disappoint if that is your aim. Unbiased commentary from our driver Henry with a fair splash of Irish blarney thrown in. The jail tour was an eye opener too considering it only closed quite recently.
