A Day in Berlin
Lisa_N, Aug 2023
Our day in Berlin was outstanding — not just because of the history but more importantly because of our guide, Nick. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the events that took place and was masterful at putting them into context.
Fabulous tour in Berlin
Christopher_C, Aug 2023
Nick was a fabulous guide! He gave us so much historic and pertinent information about Berlin and its history! Highly recommend!
Excellent tour

Our tour guide, Nick Jackson, was excellent. He was most informative and explained in detail the Camp as well as the highlights of Berlin.
Berlin in a day.

Tour was great. Covered a lot of the top spots of Berlin. Would recommended this tour. Our Guide was very knowledgeable and fun.
very good excursion - must do
Rachael_P, Jul 2023
My family enjoyed this excursion. Although the thoughts of the things that happened at the concentration camps are very unpleasant, this tour was very informative and educational to everyone.
Great excursion!!

Nick was absolutely fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable and made the overall experience a great one! Yes, you don't get to explore much of Berlin on foot as time is limited, but that was expected. Overall, this was a great experience and we're glad that we took this excursion for our day ashore.
Long, long bus ride
Richard_L, Nov 2019
It is a long ride from the port to downtown Berlin and with construction going on it took us over 4 hours to get to our first stop, the former concentration camp. Other than that it was an informative trip and the guide was excellent. Because of the long bus ride everything else was a bit hurried.
Not sure we’d do this again...
cjcurtisjohnson2, Oct 2019
It was quite a lengthy bus ride - the cruise ship was delayed, causing us to leave the port a bit late. Then, we encountered some serious delays due to road construction. Our bus driver - who didn’t speak English - was using a very old GPS device which probably didn’t show him the traffic ahead. Our time was short at the concentration camp and we had a hurried visit to Berlin. And by hurried, I mean we got off the bus three times for a quick photo stop and then quickly moved on. I don’t know if we’d do this tour again - it was a very long day - most of which was spent on the bus. Our guide was amazing and the WiFi on the bus was very helpful. Definitely not a tour you’d want to take if you really want to see a lot of Berlin.

Hi there, thanks for sharing your tour experience. We'd like to apologise for the rushed nature of the tour. As you correctly stated, a large portion of the highway between Warnemünde/Rostock and Berlin was closed on this particular day, forcing our drivers to take alternative, and lengthier, routes to both Berlin and Sachsenhausen. This put extra time constraints on the tour. Ordinarily you would have more time in Berlin (at the very least three hours on the Berlin/Sachsenhausen tour, a full 6 hours on the Berlin tour). Thank you for bringing the bus driver's GPS system to our attention – we have contacted our bus supplier to make sure all such devices are up to date in future. We'd like to to thank you also for your kind words regarding your guide – we only employ the best. We hope you'll consider returning to Berlin in the future, and that we have the chance to show you the city with more time.

Hi guys, thanks for taking the time to share your experience, and we're glad you enjoyed the tour and your time in Berlin!
One of the best tours we ever took!
eileen_c, Sep 2019
Our guide, Nick, was very organized, efficient, knowledgeable and personable. He packed in everything he said he would and, being an archaeologist, had personal information and insight! He recommended books to read. He gave us insight into the everyday life of the prisoners in Sachsenhausen. He showed us where Hitler killed himself. The Holocaust Memorial was a moving place to be. I would highly recommend this tour and Nick!
Long Ride

Sachausen Concentration camp was a sad reminder of WW11. Needed to have a bit more time, although it was tearful. We continued on to Berlin, saw many interesting historical sites. Most were hurried and drive bus. In addition it was Sunday and much was closed. That being said seven hours was too much driving to really see the sites. If I had it to do again I would pass on this tour. See the city that is near the port.
Very good tour. Our tour guide was...

Very good tour. Our tour guide was very informational. Very worth the money compared to what the Cruise line offered. They also have this guarantee that they will get you back to the boat in time which we were back more than enough time. It was a 12 hour tour because Berlin is about 3 hours away but bus was very comfortable. This trip I had 3 tours with Viator and I would highly recommend them. There tours were better than the cruise lines.
