Don't miss this gem on the Big Island, Hilo

Came with my best friend, the morning rained, but it did not take anything away from the experience. We kayaked in the pond... super fun and a great workout paddling to the current. The ground are beautiful. Awesome serene vibe. Secluded, chill, close to town.
Stunning natural beauty

Amazing natural beauty. Only a handful od other people at the falls. I went kayaking in the pond below and it was really fun
Easy for most ages

Unable to kayak due to the small area available. Thought there was a river to kayak but that was not available due to the many rocks and other falls. No food available so must bring own meals and drinks. Cost is high to get onto grounds and not worth the price.
Great fun for all ages!

The view was magnificent! The hike was absolutely beautiful and easy to walk. We ranged in age from 5 to 65 and we were all able to walk the trail and then enjoy the falls. Life jackets were available for us. And walking stick. When we got down to the waterfall we could sit on the rocks in the water, we could swim, there were kayaks and paddle boards available. We had a great time!
Leisurely time.

Due to all the rain this week, the falls were impressive; however, because of this, we were unable to swim or kayak.

Aloha, we are sorry that river conditions were unsafe on the day you visited. When you book, it is clearly stated that swimming and kayaking are only allowed when river safety conditions permit. Many more days are safe than not, but safety must always remains a priority. If river conditions are unsafe on the day of your visit, you are always welcome to enjoy the trails and everything else available that day, as well as visit on an additional day when swimming conditions are safe, free of charge.

The falls day pass was a great find! We enjoyed light hike around the grounds before spending time down at the falls. We brought our own lunch and ate down at the falls. We were also able to add a last minute couples massage that was a great finish to our day trip. All the staff were friendly and great resources for other things to do in the area.

Being there with my kids and swimming close to a waterfall since they have always fascinated my kids and me.
