We had a great outing with our delightful guide, Irene. She shared much information about Basque history, culture and traditions, which we found very interesting. We loved San Sebastian and the coast is gorgeous. We had a fabulous fish lunch, too. Highly recommend this tour!

Irene was an excellent guide, a great driver with a nice, comfortable car. Besides seeing some beautiful areas and learning about the history, she taught us so much about Basque culture. She also suggested an excellent seaside restaurant where we had the best grilled turbot we have ever eaten. Highly recommend.

It was a very last minute decision to hire a guide to show me San Sebastian and the coast and in the end, I was very glad that Irene was available. She is a native of Bilbao and was very knowledgable about the entire region, telling me things about San Sebastian that I don't think I would have picked up in a guidebook - including a stop at the site for the last season of The Game of Thrones! The weather was beautiful and it was a terrific experience.

Wow, wow, wow - what a terrific day we spent with Zach beginning with prompt pickup at our hotel. We conversed non-stop on the way to San Sebastian - Zach was warm, friendly and full of local knowledge and history of the area. Once in San Sebastian we did a lovely walking tour around town, including the market, the coastline, the harbor, city hall (aka former bull fighting arena), beautiful parks, historic buildings and more! Viewed the most beautiful vistas and took great photos of the beach and harbor from the highest peak nearby town. Next stop was lunch at a harborside openair cafe - whole turbot grilled over an charcoal fire with sides of tomato salad, fries and refreshing Txakoli (pronounces Chacoli) white wine, a local favorite - AMAZING! Our ride back to Bilbao was along the coastline road. Around every turn was another lovely beach setting, waves crashing on rocks, surfers trying to catch a wave - much more interesting and memorable than the autoroute. Last stop on our tour was viewing the Flysch in the town of Zumaia - amazing geological formations along the beach which are more than 60 million years old - sensational! Zach made sure our day was informative, relaxing and enjoyable -many thanks!

Thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Zack is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. He paced the tour to our needs. Included wandering about San Sebastián and two smaller towns. A great mix of driving, walking and hiking. Culture,, history and even geology all part of a pleasurable day. Plus a fabulous lunch on a patio above a small harbor. A very full yet unrushed time. We Have just arrived back from our trip and words cannot explain what an awesome experience we had with ZAK! knowing both sides of the pond! as they say Absolutely amazing! He took us to SAN SEBASTIAN and we had an incredible experience! I urge ALL fellow travelers... IF YOU are wanting a wonderful informative trip, one where you can see sites, stop and do YOU try to book ZAK! DO NOT HESITATE! HE IS ABSOLUTELY the best!

Irene and Zack did an excellent job giving us a tour of San Sebastian and the Basque coast. We covered a lot of ground and the couple were well informed and insightful. The tour was tailored to our needs and we especially liked that Irene and Zack were accommodating enough to split their duties when our needs differed from the couple w/ whom we were traveling. That was an unexpected and welcome perk for this semi-private tour. Zack arrived on time. The van was comfortable and both were very hospitable and responsive to requests. We marveled at how well Zack spoke English, only to find that he is originally from Detroit. Irene is a native of Bilbao, so she has a retrospective view of the city before tourism and the effects of the Guggeheim on Bilbao. I have no hesitation in recommending this tour of San Sebastian and the Basque Coast Day Trip.

Zach and his Basque wife, Irene were superb tour guides in this full day trip to San Sebastián and the Basque coast. Although we kept pace, they were willing to stop anywhere we desired-even to purchase a txapela, the national Basque hat! Our seafood lunch at the seaside was a bonus. Everything about the day was delightful, with enough time to see the highlights. My husband and I highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful day off! Great guides, Zac and Irene, who took us to awsome places we had the fortune to see the gigantes fiesta in san sebastian and stunning and unforgettable landscapes over the ocean. This excursion went beyond our expectations, and we recommend it to everyone who wants a great service. It could seem expensive but it's worth every euro!
