What To Expect

When in Sydney, be sure to take time to visit Blue Mountains National Park, a national treasure located about two hours from the city by car. Travel in comfort aboard a deluxe air-conditioned bus with a stop for morning tea in Wentworth Falls, a quaint town near the national park.

After light refreshments, continue to Echo Point for excellent views of the Three Sisters, an impressive rock formation with a fascinating legend behind it.

As you travel through the Blue Mountains, your guide takes you to lookout points, waterfalls, swathes of rainforest and Jamison Valley where you can get excellent photo ops and take short nature walks that let you experience this stunning terrain up close. You’ll also hear about the history and legends of the region as you stop at key locales.

Wander through a quaint mountain village at Katoomba, Leura or Blackheath at lunchtime, and explore some of the local shops and galleries.

On the way back to Sydney, your group stops at Featherdale Wildlife Park, located on the outskirts of the metropolitan area. As many as 2,000 native Australian critters live at Featherdale in enclosures that mimic their natural habitat. Admire exhibits with saltwater crocodiles, wallabies, wombats, bats, reptiles and emus.

Extremely pleasant blue mountain tour
Yeo_A, Apr 2024
Totally enjoyed the tour led by Chris, who is extremely knowledgeable about the region. It was a tour not merely sight-seeing but informative as well. Chris is more than willing to help you snap a few photos with your phones if you like. Exploring the Blue Mountains is an ease for all ages with Chris as he will inform the group the level of difficult of the hike. I’ll definitely recommend the tour to everyone!
Bring Your Walking Shoes
Detria_W, Apr 2024
Excellent guide, so much historical content given, had a wonderful time! Everyone participated, we laughed so much and still had many more questions to ask even on the way back from from the event destination and guide indulged us. Please bring your inner walking person with hiking shoes. You will be hitting high heights and walking into lower caverns. Enjoyed myself thoroughly and you will too!
Great way to spend a day if staying in Sydney

Terrific day tour of Blue Mountains, amazing sights, fun hands-on experience with iconic Australian animals. Chris was awesome.

Our tour guide, Scotty was amazing, he went above and beyond for the entire group, we love the blue mountains, and the hiking, and seeing all of the koalas and kangaroos
Scotty’s the best.
Rebecca_V, Mar 2024
We had a wonderful time. It was a great balance of listening to our tour guide, Scotty talk and being able to venture out on our own. I would highly recommend this tour and try and go with Scotty!!!
Well designed tour

We had the best tour guide we’ve had in many years. Tony five stars knowledgeable, funny, and adaptable. Great time! 5 of us from 20’s to 70 and all happy.
Great day in the Blue Mountains.
Pamela_G, Mar 2024
The whole day was great. The cloud cover was low at the start of the day but later cleared enough to see views and add atmosphere. Patricia was great and the day was well paced.
Delights of a small group excursion
Patricia_K, Mar 2024
Wonderful time up close with animals at wildlife park and wonderful views from lookout points that we visited! Not too strenuous either. That was a plus after having walked 8 miles a couple of days before on another non-Viator excursion.
Blue Mountains Excursion

Our guide Patricia kept us on task and provided us with stories and history of the sites we visited. Patricia was pleasant, helpful, smiling and made our excursion enjoyable.
A great trip from Sydney
Deborah_R, Feb 2024
At Featherdale I got to see all the AUS animals I was unable to see in the wild. Bush walk and waterfall beautiful and a nice too. The lookouts we stopped at were breathtaking. Chris gave us lots of good info, took photos for us, answered all our questions and was very friendly and accomodating to everyone.
Great way to spend a day!

Good tour to see a variety of things
Pamela_D, Feb 2024
The tour covers lots of the Sydney area with great commentary. The wildlife preserve was a great deal of fun. Many overlooks and great views of the blue mountains. The driver/guided was excellent.
Good tour
Gareth_J, Feb 2024
This was a good tour. Patricia our guide was very good and had a depth of knowledge allowing her to answer all our questions. The first stop on the tour was Featherdale Wildlife Park. This was a small zoo of Australian animals. We got to feed the very cute wallabies and kangaroos and see koalas close up. We then visited a lookout giving us a great view of the blue mountains. We then took a short walk in the bush to see the bride’s veil waterfall. We had a lunch break in leura which had plenty of choice. The final stop was the three sisters which are truly spectacular. Overall a very good tour.
Foggy Days
Elaine_A, Feb 2024
Lincoln Rock was the only view available as massive fog rolled in. The tour guide was entertaining despite having little to see. Featherdale was a great experience since it was not affected by foggy weather. Loved feeding the various Aussie animals. The bus seating would have been great for people shorter than 5'4". More legroom please.
Response from Host, Feb 2024
Thank you for your feedback. We're really glad that you enjoyed your time at Featherdale with the animals, and the views from Lincoln Rock earlier in the day. We're sorry that the weather closed in more after that, and that your guide was not able to juggle the itinerary enough to see all of the great views at other locations around the mountains. In most cases they are able to find some spectacular views, such as the engorged waterfalls or mist-filled valleys, but unfortunately not in every case. Thank you again for your feedback, and we're glad that you stilll enjoyed the first half of your day. Regards Brad

Great tour of several areas of the Blue Mountains plus a wonderful visit to the Featherdale animal sanctuary seeing Koalas was really special
Tasha_G, Jan 2024
Great experience with Tony. Provided a lot of information about the sites and was a lovely experience in a small group. Would definitely recommend.
Scott is a great guide....
Lei_L, Jan 2024
Scott is a great guide. He is funny and accommodating. There was some minor incident during the trip back, but he handled perfectly.
Had a great time despite the weather conditions
Preran_K, Dec 2023
From providing exact details about our pickup time and location to the experience, Steve ensured we had a great time. He did not let the foggy day mess up our day. It was such an education being with him on the tour and learning about the blue mountains and his own experiences of the place. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get out of the city and take in the sights around Sydney.
Our driver doubled up as...
Nope_P, Dec 2023
Our driver doubled up as our tour guide and did a fantastic job providing us with valuable information about the sights we passed or saw or its history. The time allotted for each stop was perfect, allowing us to fully engage in the activities at each specific location.
Nice drive
Jennifer_P, Nov 2023
Jeff was nice and informative. It was a bit cloudy but still beautiful views. The lunch area he chose was cute, knowing it was basically a lunch stop ( 1hr) but wish we had at least 15mins more.
