Captivating tour with plenty of information about Colombia's history, economy and culture

The walking tour in downtown Bogota was a fantastic experience. The convenience of the pick-up at El Dorado airport was a great start to the tour. Nataly Espino, the tour guide, was not only professional but also punctual, arriving well before the designated pick-up time. Throughout the tour, Nataly provided a wealth of information on Colombia's history, economy, culture, and current challenges. What stood out to me the most was her focus on sharing lesser-known facts, which added an extra layer of depth to the experience. One of the highlights of the tour was the opportunity to taste four different types of maracuja. As a big fan of maracuja, I was delighted to discover new flavours that I was not aware of. Additionally, the samples of artisanal Colombian chocolate and coffee were very tasty and showcased the country's rich gastronomic culture. Overall, I highly recommend this walking tour for anyone with a short stopover in Bogota.

The best thing about this tour was the guide Gerald. He is very flexible and knowledgeable. He made quick changes to deal with the rain that day. All in all, it was a great tour of Candelaria. I highly recommend it.

Fruit tasting was...

Fruit tasting was mediocre. Coffee was not good. Waited for almost an hour to be picked up by driver at the end of tour. Could have just taken a taxi and go to those places myself.

The tour guide arrived 1/2 hour late...

The tour guide arrived 1/2 hour late in an Uber. He was dressed poorly and never indicated he was picking us up on behalf of Viator. Instead he immediately began promoting his company of Gran Columbia. He did explain many of the sites as we drove to La Candelaria. Once at the beginning of the tour, he started to show us a colorful booklet he had put together to explain the history. He got louder and louder and more aggressive in his description. We stopped to have a tea which he explained was made from Coca. The tour was to last 3 hours. We finally after 5 hours ended at a coffee shop where he tried for over 45 minutes to get an Uber driver to take us back to the hotel. We were very tired and had planned for a 3 hour tour as Viator promoted. Finally he secured a taxi. Teh guide then immediately got on his cell phone and never spoke to us until we asked to be let out of the taxi. This was a poorly planned 5 hours. We only saw one street of La Candelaria. He often asked us how to better promote himself and his tour company.
