What To Expect

The Boston Duck Tour covers it all—from the State House in the Beacon Hill neighborhood to Bunker Hill and the TD Garden, home to the Boston Celtics. There’s Boston Common, a public park in downtown Boston and the oldest city park in the United States; Copley Square, a sort of public square in the Back Bay neighborhood; the Big Dig central artery/tunnel project; plus Government Center to Newbury Street, Quincy Market to the Prudential Tower and more.

That’s a lot, but that’s not all. It’s time for the duck to float—with a splashdown into the Charles River for a view of the Boston and Cambridge skylines.

Important note: Multi-lingual audio guides available from Prudential Center and Museum of Science departures only.

Great fun tour of Boston
ANDREW_M, Apr 2024
The first plus was that I was able to shift the time of my trip as I arrived very early; Next, our tour guide had a well rehearsed but still very funny patter covering all the areas we visited. The tour covered lots of the downtown sights, including several on the Historical Trail, and we were given a potted history of each. There was also lots of background about Boston itself, all linked to the buildings we were passing. Driving into the Charles River capped off the event and gave us a good view of the city from the water, which you might not get otherwise. Overall, a very enjoyable trip
Making History FUN
Dolly_D, Apr 2024
Even as a local, I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide, "Ziggy Stardust" was entertaining and energetic, and had me laughing and learning all at the same time. So glad that we booked the Duck Tour so that my out-of-town cousin could enjoy the experience as well.
Fun times in Boston.

Dan_W, Apr 2024
The host was entertaining and provided great history of the city. The kids (and the adults, too) enjoyed the experience of transitioning from road to water and back. And the kids loved the opportunity to steer the boat (under a watchful eye).
Best guide ever!

Absolutely recommend! I’ve never been to Boston and it was a great way to see the city, hear the historical stories, and laugh at some funny comments, jokes and humor of our announcer. Don’t miss this experience!
Exciting ride.
Jeanne_N, Feb 2024
Very interesting ride. Extremely strong winds and rain caused us to have to cut the excursion short. I really thought the boat would tip over, but the crew was quite competent.
Quack quack!
Gary_B, Oct 2023
Our tour guide was both humorous and informative. He got the group to chant at times as we rode around Boston. At the end of the tour he allowed people to take the helm so to speak. He and the driver/captain gave a great tour.
