Seeing groups of whales, the crews knowledge and enthusiasm added to the experience of the trip. Would recommend.
Cancelled it after reaching Busselton for a afternoon cruse
Sajith_P, Oct 2022
Booked twice, morning and then afternoon cruse but they cancelled it stating that weather is not good on a sunny pleasant day. I was told that they are cancelling after I reached Busselton.

Thankyou for the feedback, which we find a little puzzling. We always strive to provide the best whale watching experience for all our passengers, and to date all our feedback has confirmed we are achieving this. The day prior to your tour - the Marine weather looked okay to conduct the tour (Marine weather relies mainly on the wind and direction - it can be a beautiful sunny day on land but head out on the water and it can be a different story) The Marine forecast was updated that evening and saw the morning tour unsafe to operate in, but the wind was due to drop late morning and the afternoon was ok.  We rung you and advised this - said we were planning - on the current forecast to travel in the afternoon , but advised the following day would be a much better option to travel, and you were told we would recheck in the morning around 9am, if the weather was worse than predicted we would be cancelling the afternoon .  We had 70 people to cancel so it was not something we would do without reason - unless it was not safe to travel, especially as your party had children involved. The majority of our customers decided to move to the following day as per our advise, their were a few that couldn't but we we called them that morning although disappointed to not see whales they were appreciative that Safety was our priority(those calls included a call to you advising unsafe conditions, again as per the previous day you were given the option again to reschedule or cancel). At 0926am that morning of your tour it was blowing at 54 kmph  which is 30 knots of wind, way above our safety parametres  (and any other commercial operators) - the wind was much worse than predicted and the forecast had then changed to reflect this - had we been unprofessional and taken you out that day I am sure not only would your party suffered sea sickness but most likely your children would of been scared and then we would of been worthy of a 1 star review, but we made the call of passenger safety and comfort over money I dont think it is deserved of a 1 star.  Here is the link to the wind on that day which you can see while it was a lovely day onshore it was close to gale force winds out on the water. http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/dwo/IDCJDW6163.latest.shtml
the company that makes...

the company that makes the tour called me the night of the day before and canceled the tour without giving an explanation, now i'm trying to get a refund and i can't
Response from Host, Nov 2021
We called and told you it was the end of the season and whale sightings were low and the weather was unsuitable to travel - we cannot take you out if it is not safe to do so - the weather report only comes out at 4pm the day before. All you have to do is contact Viator for a refund and they will happily do so as you have paid them. I think this feedback and review is unwarranted given the circumstances above.
Great experience worth the trip

Great day out crew professional and new what they were talking about left mid morning and were on the whales within the hour mother an bub. Lots around plenty of areas and space that you were not blocked in. Also free biscuits.
