Great day
Victor_H, Apr 2024
Picked up on time by professional staff in a decent white van. Small group setting so able to ask a lot of questions and tour guide was very personable. Definitely recommend.
Adventure
Simon_M, Apr 2024
Emmanuel from Ocean tour was a fantastic guide. Had a great time at Tulum, then snorkeling, to top it off the Cenote was an amazing experience
Happy with the trip
Annett_S, Apr 2024
We started out with the ruins, which was interesting and we were glad we got a glimpse of the culture that surrounded it. We then went snorkeling which was just ok. Lots of people in groups and very hard to stay together. They are is very rough ask the time and getting back in the boat is difficult with flippers on and the small ladder. If you are heavy it older it might be very difficult. We are in our 60’s and in good shape but many struggled. The cenotaph, jungle walk and lunch was the hot if the tour! Emanuel our guide was amazing! All in all we were happy we went!
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Dear Annette, It sounds like your tour had its highs and lows, but overall, you're glad you went! Exploring the ruins provided insight into the surrounding culture, while snorkeling had its challenges, especially with large groups and rough waters. The cenote visit, jungle walk, and lunch were definite highlights, with Emanuel shining as an exceptional guide. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and we're thrilled that despite some difficulties, you found joy in your adventure with us! Diana Ocean Tours Team.

Great company and excursion!
Jonathan_L, Apr 2024
Everything was excellent! Tulum was great to see, but it was busy. However the Cenote and lunch was very private. Just our group of nine was there at the time! The snorkeling was also great! Lots of fish and other snorkelers. Was expected.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
It sounds like you had a fantastic experience! Tulum is a stunning place to visit, although it can be crowded at times. How lucky to have had a private cenote and a quiet lunch just for your group of nine, that sounds like a special and relaxing experience. Laura Ocean Tours
Amazing day
holly_p, Apr 2024
Ismael, Ghandi and Alan were amazing. Had such a good day on our private tour and well worth the extra money. We had our 7 month old son with us and they were so accommodating and looked after us all so well. Ismaels knowledge of the Mayan temples and cenete were amazing and Alan’s photography was incredible. Ghandi was a brilliant driver and was always where we needed him to be and helping out with our baby’s pram etc. they timed everything perfectly so we could have the best experience - at the ruins early to avoid the crowd and we had the cenete all to ourselves which was amazing. We were able to swim with turtles and stingrays and just had the best day
Response from Host, Apr 2024
It sounds like you had an absolutely fantastic experience on your private tour with Ismael, Ghandi, and Alan! Their exceptional service and attentiveness made your day truly memorable. It's heartwarming to hear that they were accommodating and took such good care of you, especially with your 7-month-old son.The timing of the tour, such as arriving early at the ruins to avoid crowds and having the cenote all to yourselves, demonstrates their attention to detail and commitment to providing the best possible experience for you.Swimming with turtles and stingrays sounds like an incredible experience and the perfect way to top off a fantastic day. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience, and I'm sure others will find your recommendation helpful when planning their own adventures! Laura OCEAN TOURS
Okay. Average. Great tour guides
Andrew_D, Apr 2024
Its decent. Not the best, it's just okay. Nothing you cant do yourself. The best part is the tour guide. We had Claudia & Tony the photographer and they were GREAT. Friendly, very knowledgable they weren't pushy or anything. They explained the Ruins/Mayan culture nicely. But to be honest, you can just drive there and explore yourself (it would be cheaper). They took us to a beach which was beautiful. We opted out of the snorkeling and stayed by the beach. The locals were great. Again we could have just drove there. Would be cheaper. We then went to the "private cenote" which was really all that. Going to Gran Cenote is a MUCH BETTER experience. The lunch was HORRIBLE 0/10 tacos were soggy and had no flavor. All in all the guides were the highlight. Everything else you can do yourself and it would be cheaper and better
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Dear Andrew, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our Viator Exclusive tour: Tulum Ruins, Reef Snorkeling, Cenote, and Caves. We’re thrilled to hear that our tour guides, Claudia and Tony, made a great impression with their friendliness, knowledge, and professionalism. It’s true that part of what makes guided tours special is the expertise and insights that professionals like them bring to the experience, enriching your visit to the ruins, the reefs, and beyond. We understand that for some, exploring independently is a preferred and often more cost-effective option. Visiting such stunning locations on your own can indeed offer a different kind of adventure and flexibility. For those who feel more adventurous or prefer a less structured itinerary, going solo might be the right choice. However, being accompanied by professionals during activities like visiting ancient ruins, snorkeling among turtles, and discovering hidden cenotes can enhance safety, provide valuable historical context, and reveal secrets of the locale that you might not uncover on your own. We regret to hear that the food did not meet your expectations. Providing enjoyable and high-quality meals is important to us, and we take your feedback seriously. We will address this issue with our catering team to ensure that our future offerings are not only up to standard but also add to the overall experience of our tours. We appreciate your honest feedback, as it helps us improve and continue to offer memorable and satisfying experiences to all our guests. Thank you for choosing to explore with us, and we hope to have the opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future. Warm regards,
Amazing trip

It was a great experience. Ishmael, Raffa and Ulysis (sorry for spelling) was a great team and would definitely recommend!
Response from Host, Apr 2024
It's fantastic to hear that you had such a positive experience with Ishmael, Raffa, and Ulysis as your snorkeling team! Recommending them speaks volumes about the quality of their service and their ability to make your experience enjoyable. Personalized and friendly service can really make a difference in activities like snorkeling, where trust and guidance are essential for a safe and memorable adventure. Laura OCEAN TOURS
Oh, fun, history, interesting!
Elizabeth_H, Apr 2024
We had an incredibly informative guide at the ruins. His knowledge of the ruins and their history was incredibly interesting. It went really fast and was hard to catch everything however. Wish we would’ve had a little more time listening with him there. The reef snorkeling was great! Saw, turtles, stingrays, and an incredible assortment of fish. it went by too fast. The cenote was also interesting. The guide takes you down in and through the cenote, swimming, it was cool and refreshing to end the trip that way. Lunch after the cenote was delicious! Alma, our guide, was very informational on every part of our trip that day. She is a gem!. Our resort was north of Cancun a little bit so our ride time was long. We were picked up at 5:30am and got back about 6:30 PM. But I enjoyed the trip.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
It sounds like you had a full day packed with memorable experiences! Having an informative guide at the ruins must have provided valuable insights into their history, even if time felt a bit rushed. Snorkeling at the reef and encountering turtles, stingrays, and a variety of fish sounds absolutely incredible. Exploring the cenote and swimming through it must have been a refreshing and unique way to end the day. It's great to hear that Alma provided informative commentary throughout the trip, enriching your overall experience. Despite the long ride time, it seems like the trip was well worth it. Thank you for sharing your adventure. Laura OCEAN TOURS
Fantastic excursion, small group, personal service
Eric_W, Apr 2024
The main guide, Alex Jimenez, was super awesome working with our two children ages 11 and 7. Neither one had ever snorkeled before. Both kids figured it out quickly with his instruction and guidance. Alex did a great job of keeping us informed of the itinerary and learning about the other people in our group. The food was super awesome, homemade tacos! The driver Doney, did a great job getting us where we needed to go. The photographer Jhony took some amazing pictures in and out of the water.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
It sounds like you had an incredible experience with Alex, Doney, Jhony, and the rest of the team during your snorkeling excursion! Alex's ability to work with children and teach them snorkeling must have made the experience enjoyable and memorable for the whole family. It's fantastic to hear that everyone quickly picked up snorkeling with his guidance. Keeping the group informed and creating a friendly atmosphere adds to the overall enjoyment of the trip. And homemade tacos for food sounds absolutely delicious! Doney's efficient driving and Jhony's amazing photography skills definitely contributed to making the excursion a success. Thank you for sharing your positive feedback about your adventure! Laura OCEAN TOURS
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Sandra_M, Apr 2024
I went by myself and honestly it was the BEST EXCURSION of my hole trip! Sophie our tour guide was absolutely amazing and very knowledgable about everything but mostly snorkelling which was my first time and Wendy our Pro Photographer ... bring money cause you will want to buy all her proffessional pic of you and the adventure! CANT WAIT TO DO IT WITH THEM AGAIN!
Response from Host, Apr 2024
It sounds like you had an incredible time on your solo excursion! Having Sophie as your tour guide, who was knowledgeable and supportive, must have made your first snorkeling experience even more enjoyable. Wendy, the professional photographer, capturing your adventure sounds like a fantastic addition, and it's great that you appreciated her work. It's wonderful to hear that this excursion was the highlight of your trip, and you're already looking forward to doing it again with them. Thank you for sharing your positive feedback. Perfect day in Mexico!
Mary_S, Apr 2024
Had a great day. Juan was such a kind, funny, informant tour guide. We learned a lot but also just enjoyed. Thulume was just long enough for being out in the hot sun. That was lead by a cove snorkel where we saw stingray and parrot fish along with other more common types. Felt great to cool off. Had 2 people over 6 ft tall and no problem with gear (read this as an issue in other write ups). We then went to an underground cave. Called a denote but I always think of open air swimming holes as denotes and this wasn’t. Even got one of our nonswimmer to participate! Really cool. Lunch was awesome and the photographer took great pics. Just a great day with family and our new friends the tour guides 🥰
Response from Host, Apr 2024
It sounds like you had a fantastic day filled with adventure and fun experiences! Juan's kindness, humor, and informative guidance must have made the tour even more enjoyable. Exploring Tulum and snorkeling in the cove to see stingrays and parrotfish sounds like an amazing way to spend the day. It's great to hear that everyone, including taller individuals and non-swimmers, had no issues with the gear and could fully participate in the activities. Visiting the underground cave, even for someone who may not typically swim, must have been a memorable experience. And lunch, along with the photographer's great pictures, added to the overall enjoyment of the day. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with your family and the tour guides! Amazing!

Absolutely an amazing experience! Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area of Cancun! Its about an hour and a half drive away from Cancun without pickups but the drive is honestly totally worth it you won’t regret this if you decide to do it!
Response from Host, Apr 2024
It sounds like you had an incredible experience near Cancun! Sergio was the worst tour guide EVER!
Yendi_B, Apr 2024
I want to preface by saying the beach was beautiful, the cenote was divine and the Lunch was great. However the time spent snorkeling was too short. We spent more time at the ruins then snorkeling. As for the tour guide Sergio, he was not very professional. Before going snorkeling, he asked if it was anyone's first time snorkeling. Two people raised their hand, including my friend. The other young lady stated that she was slightly afraid of the water. Sergio told them that they could stick with him while snorkeling. He did NOT take the time to instruct on how to put on the life jacket, goggles or flippers properly and did NOT offer to help put them on for people who were struggling. Especially for the people that are snorkeling for the first time. When we got in the water, Sergio abandoned to two people he said he would help in the water. He made the boat driver and his friend tugged them around, which was NOT their job. As the tour guide, Sergio should have been the one to GUIDE them. My friend and the other young lady started having anxiety and instead of helping, Sergio was too busy enjoying snorkeling for himself. This tour did not mention anything about advanced snorkeling. I was expecting a leisure snorkeling session. Instead we were swimming all over the place in such a short time. On other tours I have been on, we stay in one spot and everyone swims at the own pace where they are comfortable. This tour was not the case, as we had to keep up with the tour guide too quickly. Didn't really have time to enjoy the scenery. On the other hand, the food service for lunch was great and the food itself was delicious. Although, the cenote was beautiful, once again, the tour guide was very unprofessional. On the bright side, the photographer was amazing. He was very nice and had a wonderful attitude. Loved the pictures he took. The driver was also nice and professional. The guide for the Tulum ruins was very respectable as well. She gave a detailed and engaging tour of the Mayan city. But Sergio was the worst part of this tour, unfortunately. I would have given this tour a 5 out of 5 stars, if it wasn't for him. But instead it gets a 2. Would NOT recommend this tour if he is the tour guide.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Dear Yendi, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate your detailed review and apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience you experienced during your recent tour with us. We're sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with Sergio as your tour guide. Your comments regarding the lack of support during the snorkeling portion of the tour are concerning, and we apologize for any discomfort caused. We value your feedback and will address these issues internally to ensure they are not repeated. We're glad to hear you enjoyed other aspects of the tour, and we appreciate your compliments about our photographer, driver, and Tulum ruins guide. If there's anything further, we can do to address your concerns or make amends, please reach out to us directly. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a better experience in the future. Best regards, Saskia Ocean Tours Team
Very Fun
Ward_R, Apr 2024
Great service, nice staff, easy going. We had a blast! The reef had pretty fish, the rays circled us
Response from Host, Apr 2024
It sounds like you had an amazing experience! Having great service and a friendly staff can truly make a difference in enjoying your time. Exploring the reef and seeing the beautiful fish while being surrounded by rays must have been a breathtaking experience. Laura OCEAN TOURS
Tulum ruins and two cenotes very fun
Ari_F, Apr 2024
Really nice trip with really nice professional guide and driver. Joaquin and Yuriel did a great job taking us to Tulum and two cenotes. The van wasn’t very comfortable and we didn’t eat lunch until 3pm otherwise this would have gotten 5 stars.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
It sounds like you had a great trip with Joaquin and Yuriel as your guide and driver! Their professionalism and dedication surely made the experience enjoyable despite the minor inconveniences. I'm sorry to hear that the van wasn't very comfortable and that lunch was delayed until 3pm. Those factors can definitely impact the overall experience. However, it's great to hear that despite these challenges, you still had a positive experience with your guide and driver. Laura OCEAN TOURS
Culture and recreation all in one day!
beth_S, Mar 2024
The cenote swim was absolutely incredible and offered a unique experience. Wish we could have stayed at the beach for a bit after snorkeling rather than immediately leave to next activity. Coffee would be a good addition to the early morning start (snacks offered). Our tour guides were wonderful!
Response from Host, Apr 2024
It sounds like you had an amazing experience, especially with the cenote swim! The unique experience it offers is truly something special. I understand your wish to have some time to relax at the beach after snorkeling; sometimes, having a bit of downtime can enhance the overall experience. Coffee sounds like a great addition for an early morning start, especially to help energize before the day's activities. It's wonderful to hear that despite these minor points, your tour guides were wonderful and contributed positively to your experience. Laura OCEAN TOURS
Tulum ruins and cenotes worth the drive
Louise_L, Mar 2024
Our guide, David, was a darling; friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. Loved the ruins and learning about them, and views were great. Fun snorkeling but didn't see a sea turtle, unfortunately and water was not as clear as i had hoped. But loved the cenotes! Really cool! Great day despite a lot of time in van from Hotelzone!
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Hello David, We are glad you had such a great experience with us and enjoyed yourselves to the fullest. We hope to have you back soon. Best regards, Priscila
Awesome tour - Rafael is an amazing guide.
Jason_Z, Mar 2024
We were a group of 9 and did a private tour. Everyone in the group had a great experience. The cenote was probably the highlight and was beautiful. Our guide was Rafael and he was awesome. Great personality and made it lots of fun, but also extremely knowledgeable of the history of the area. Would highly recommend this tour.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Dear Jason, We are glad that you had such a great experience with our guide Rafael, and that you learned and enjoyed both the ruins and the cenote. We hope to have you back soon. Best regards, Priscila
