What To Expect

Your half-day trip to Isla Mujeres begins with pickup at your hotel in Cancun, after which you'll be transferred to the marina in an air-conditioned van.

Board your clean, comfortable boat for a sailing trip over the turquoise waters offshore. Stop for snorkeling (all gear provided) among the marine life that inhabits the surrounding reefs.

Back on board, dig in to chips, guacamole, and salsa, and sip drinks from an open bar. The staff on board is there to ensure your comfort and enjoyment.

Go ashore on the island of Isla Mujeres, where you'll spend free time exploring on your own. Head back to the mainland around 4pm, then enjoy convenient drop-off back at your hotel.

This was a great trip. Pickup at our hotel was going to 10-15 minutes late and we got a phone call telling us this so communication was good. Snorkeling was good and while the reef was a little bare there were a few schools of large numbers of fish. Time was about 30 min of snorkeling so it was just right. Long enough to look at things and short enough to not get exhausted. The catamaran was great and there were only 20 people on our trip so we had lots of room. After coming out of the water there were individual bowls of chips, guacamole and pico de gallo. We don't drink but the staff was very good about asking us if we wanted another soft drink. The staff was great. Photographer looked a bit disappointed when he found out I had my own GoPro to take photos but was not rude in anyway. We had two hours on the island and that was plenty. And yes, we had good weather so we could snorkel and they raised both the main sail and the jib. So it really was sailing. Would recommend this again with no reservations.

This was a great excursion! It was perfect for our schedule and those that don't have a lot of time in the country. We were able to catch an early flight, get to our hotel and get picked up for the excursion. The paparazzi did a great job with the pictures and videos! The snorkeling was the best I've experienced yet. I would do this exact tour again. Thank you!

We had an AWESOME day. My girlfriend and I were on the boat with a bachelorette trip as well as a few other couples that were super friendly and fun. The boat was nice and clean and of sufficient size for the 17 total people that were on it. The water is beautiful. On the way to the island we stopped to snorkel and it was a fantastic snorkel, excellent and gorgeous marine life - definitely bring an underwater camera if you have one! After the snorkel the beverages started rolling! Crew came and asked you what you wanted and then they brought it to you so you didn't even have to get up for it. They also brought out chips and guac. Not a large portion so eat ahead of time, bring snacks, or plan to eat while on Isla Mujeres. We had about 1.5-2 hours on Isla Mujeres that was enjoyable. Lots of souvenir shopping and restaurant options. Can also rent a moped or golf cart and see the whole island during that time. The freelance photographers that were on board were amazing. They were posing you individually and with your group as well as taking candid photos. They also took underwater photo and video with a GoPro during the snorkeling. I usually never spring for this kind of photo package because they're a rip off and not worth it but these guys were great and after reviewing the pictures we purchased them without hesitation. I would definitely recommend this trip! It was our favorite day of our trip.

Overall, this was a very fun experience. The tour guides and staff on board were amazing! Transportation to and from the hotel was seamless and pleasant. We had about 2-2.5 hours on the island, ample time to eat, drink and shop. Now—the only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star review is because of the snorkeling. You must be a very strong swimmer to enjoy the snorkeling. We were provided with flotation devices that helped smaller people, but for my 6”5 200 lbs boyfriend, it was not very helpful. The waves were constant and huge and the current was very strong. The times we were able to look in the water was beautiful, SO many fish and beautiful reefs as well as some cool statues. I could have gone without the snorkeling but aside from that I highly highly recommend this excursion!!! It was a blast

DISHONEST VENDOR! Absolutely horrible experience! DO NOT USE

This vendor is dishonest. He/she sells the catamaran cruise on the site as if it is suited for toddlers. I searched a hundred catamaran cruises online to see if any one would accept 2 year old kids, and this is the only company I found on Viator to let me select age 2. Mind you, they don’t even use the word “toddler”, they have “infant” on their booking page which suggests an EVEN YOUNGER child. So when something is sold and advertised as infant, you assume the boat is equipped with life jackets for kids that small. On the day of the cruise I happened to message the tour operator to confirm they have life jackets for toddler- she said no. This was an unexpected response and I let her know that me, my friends and toddler were unable to avail the cruise since it isn’t suited for toddlers. I requested cancellation and full refund and they let me know per terms that they couldn’t refund since I wasn’t in the 24hr it window. I let her know that I was aware of the terms but that evidently this was a fringe case based on misinformation and false advertising from them. She kept trying to console me to say they hadn’t charged for the infant. But if the tour operator had exercised some brain power they’d know that the 6 adults could no longer go on the cruise as the toddler did not have a life vest and this was brand NEW information from the tour operator. Pathetic experience, THIS PROVIDER SUCKS. Go with any other catamaran vendor but this one. They’re cheats and liars and run their business in the most undignified manner. BEWARE

Not a snorkeling trip as advertised

Isla Mujeres was excellent but I feel like we got ripped off. The trip was advertised as a snorkeling trip, and we weren’t told that there would be no snorkeling until we asked when we got on the boat. It was obviously not a snorkeling boat it was a catamaran with no lifejackets which meant they never intended to take us snorkeling. All of the other guests were of the same mind and were mad that #1, there was never any intent, and 2 if it really was too rough why were we not told a day before so we could change our plans? If it was just a ferry trip to Isla Mujeres we could’ve paid $18 instead of $65 each

Mr. Jill, next time make sure you know the price of the ferry. the price of the ferry is not $18 usd ok?.... this are the correct prices in mexican pesos Ferry to Isla Mujeres Adult One Way $270MXN ( $16usd ) Round Trip $540MXN ( $32 usd ) This is only the ferry and you have to pay for drinks and snacks. About our life jackets we dont have life jackets this are lifebelt, which if you did not see it, is because there are smaller than a life jacket and are keep inside teh Catamaran. If the day you were doing the tour the snorkel is cancel when you were already on board is not our fault, We have marine authorities that are in charge of the safety in the ocean for all of us and mainly for you as tourists. And if they canceled it, thank God! the sea currents are very unpredictable and even the most experienced swimmer respects the sea, why not you or us? the tour has a snorkeling activity and it is 30 minutes. which in this case is compensated with more time on the Island and for your information. The title of the tour is: Half-Day Sailing Trip to Isla Mujeres from Cancun, the title does not say SNORKEL. One thing I am sure since I do it personally I called ahead of time when I know that there is no snorkeling because the marine currents are very strong... I inform the client, and they have the option to reschedule for another day , go on the tour without snorkeling or get your money back. Here the fact that the tour is canceled due to bad weather or because there is no snorkel is better than paying the price of a person who dies. sorry it reads ugly but it is better to CANCEL before an accident happens. And I repeat WE ARE NOT GODS TO CONTROL THE CLIMATE. but we do have authorities who are the ones who say if it is safe or not.

Best bachelorette day of the whole trip. We ended up having a private tour and the crew was so attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make the trip great. It would be a good idea to bring cash- for the dock fee, the tip, the pictures, the golf carts on Isla Mujeras, and any shopping you do. Also- it's a late lunch so eat a big snack before you go!

This was an EXCELLENT trip, and a great value as well. Tony and crew were amazing. We ended up having a smaller group, so we got tons of personal attention, and all at the same time they made it feel like they were part of the group having a good time. The snorkeling was amazing. They assisted my younger niece and made sure she felt fully safe and comfortable for her first time in the ocean. And also saw a ton of sea life. A very neat experience all around. Tony then gave us some lunch recommendations while on the island to a restaurant with its own pool that the kids could swim in! Highly recommend this business to anyone wanting to get out on the water.

DON'T BUY!! Your life will be in danger!!

Beware!!! This company would put your lives in risk!!! We booked this trip to have fun during our trip in Cancun. On Friday January 13, 2023 the weather was very bad, it was raining, the ocean was very dangerous with huge waves. The company was aware of the Weather, like they said in the message the owner sent me, they have been in the industry for 20 years, they should be more upfront and let the people know what to expect. After 10 minutes of the trip, started to rain start very heavy. The fun of taking the Catamaran to Isla de Muejres is to listen to music, drink and have fun with your family or friends, well that was not our experience. We didn't drink, eat, had fun or even listen to music. The waves were so big, the water was splashing inside the Catamaran and not in a fun way. The glasses, plates and bottles were breaking , our lifes were in danger and the company don't really care. We decided to take the ferry back to Cancun beacuse the crew stated the trip back was going to be rough. We sent a message to the company and they said we were making a huge show, hello! Our lives were in danger! Family with kids on the boats were in danger. The kids were throwing up, people were screaming , it was an awful experience. In top of that the company doesn't want to give a refund, they are just refunding the ferry tickets. We paid 335, plus 75 dollars of the ferry tickets. We didn't had one drink or have fun. I have videos of this terrible trip but I can only upload pictures here. If anyone want to see the videos, sent me a message and I will email the videos of this horrific trip. I uploaded few screenshots of the videos and the awful message the company sent.

Day 3: Isle Mujeres Having had such amazing experience on the two previous excursions our expectations from this tour were sky high and to tell you the truth we were thrilled that the tour was again an amazing experience. What has impressed me through out this tour is the communication and keeping the people informed. It started with getting a message that the driver was stuck in traffic and would be 15 minutes delayed. He came as said in the email. He was very sincere and apologized for delay which wasn’t even his fault. After we reached the place to board the Catamaran we were guided by Antonio who was the tour guide for the trip. His energy was absolutely nothing short of spectacular. He made us aware of what he would expect from us and how he would help us. True to his word even when the seas were rough he was with the kids and adults navigating them while they were snorkeling in patchy seas in Atlantic. When we reached the island he had arranged for golf carts for us to take a hour long ride on the golf cart. That was a great experience just driving around the island and seeing the local relics and interacting with people. When we came back to return the cart on time with our stop watch saying 59 minutes the person we rented out said we were 20 minutes late and wanted more money from us. Antonio intervened and basically made sure that we were not being overcharged. He did not have to do this but he did and made sure we were fine. The photographers on the catamaran were very talented. Even with choppy waters they took some incredible pictures and moments that we will cherish for a life time. The trip to the island and back was full of stunning views on the sea and the crew was absolutely great. We hope that they continue to do well and all the best to the crew in future. Caution: after coming back to Cancun I did some research and found that the golf cart industry at the island is know to rip people off. Please be aware of “Rentadora Pelicans” from whom we rented the golf cart. Simply don’t or make sure you do the booking with the crew that takes you there. Also make sure you sync up your watch when leaving with the cart.
