The tour guides Norma and Moto (Victor) were great. BUT it’s so basic it’s so fast and you hardly have time for each destination. We hardly had enough time on any of the sites. We travel a LOT and do many tours. This one felt like once they did they’re “guided part” we got swarmed by the “locals”.

Samuel, Alfredo and Martin provided us with a day full of fun and interesting stories. The whole day went according to plan. First, a small bus picked us up from our pick-up points, then we changed from the bus to a large coach. Be at the pickup point earlier as they ask you to make the ride smoother. First Chichen itzá, cenote and lunch (buffet), then a quick stop in Valladolid.

We had a great time on this trip, our tour guides were Norma and Pastor they did a great job, had so much knowledge and really made the trip fun. Chichen Itza was amazing, the Cenote was beautiful and refreshing there's a lot of stairs and they are steep so be careful but it's great once you get down there. The food was delicious I wish we could have ate more but we were stuffed. And Valladolid is a great town, I wish we had more time to explore here but we did a tequila tasting and we got some good tequila and mezcal to take home. It was very hot and it's a long day with all of the travel but will worth it, so be prepared maybe bring a few snacks and some water to drink and that will help the day be a little more fun for you.

Good experience

I liked the sites. It did take a while to get out there and plan on it taking the majority of the day. Bring plenty of water, sunblock, UV clothes if you burn easy, umbrella, hat, snacks, etc. The Cenote was pretty neat. The food was not very good our group's opinion (US perspective).

A must do activity

It was very well organized. Mike, our tour guide explained the tour, and info about the sites very well. He was very clear in his instructions on what to take and what time to come to bus and what time to leave etc. He was also ensuring everyone was onboard. The bus was also comfortable and had a toilet too. The bus driver eduardo had taken a note of everyone and kept an eye out for people as they returned to the bus at every site. They kept time every where. It would have been better if the stop at valladolid was a bit more (30 mins was less). The restaurant (lunch stop) dint allow us to carry our own water bottle and we had to purchase water over there. (Drinks i can understand. But water is a basic necessity. Why force us to buy over priced water at the restaurant) The cenote was also not very crowded and was really good.

A little late but worth it

Our trip started off rocky, they were very late in picking us up. After several attempts calling, we finally got ahold of someone who told us they would be about another 15 mins late. They arrived in a large tour bus with ac which was perfect for the humidity. Our tour guide was Luis and he was amazing! Totally made up for the being late part. Luis is so knowledgeable in the Mayan culture and really taught us so much. He dismissed so many myths and really went into detail during the Chichén Itzá tour. The cenote and buffet were also great! We are so happy we waited and went on the tour.

Quality Tour Guide

Our tour date was Tuesday, May 23rd. We had Ceasar was a great tour guide and I would recommend him for anyone. I liked the fact that he has assigned seating prior to boarding, it made the ride more comfortable for everyone. He made sure to communicate a few times where to be, what time we were meeting back up after excursions. He oversaw each aspects of the tour to where you felt completely safe and could enjoy yourself. He was knowledgeable about each attraction stop and provided visuals for us to help understand what it is we would be seeing. Ceasar maintain order on the bus, ensure everyone listened and adhere to the requirements. I think many of the tour guides could learn a lot from Ceasar and how he did his job that day. I wish all tour guides were as thorough as him.

We went on the Chichen Itza, Cenote, and Valladolid tour. We had Victor as our guide. While going from place to place, you are on a nicely air conditioned bus. Victor gave some really informative background information and history on Mexico and the specific region where Chichen Itza is located before arriving there. When we arrived at Chichen Itza, Victor gave us a very informative tour at each part of the ruins. He was knowledgeable about the history, as well as any questions the group had. The cenote was great, but be extremely careful purchasing the life jacket and locker rentals with your credit card. The cost is only supposed to be $3 USD each. However, when we got home, we had a charge of $23.68. I’d advise only paying in cash. We don’t eat pork, so we were limited in our food choices at the buffet. There were only two chicken choices from the buffet. However, everything we did have was good! Valladolid was beautiful. I wish this was a longer part of the tour. You are only given 30 minutes. Victor pointed the group in directions of certain places in the town. We went with the churros. They were so good! Overall, we had a really great experience. We’d be happy to have Victor and our driver on any future tour.

Beautiful experience

The tour guide Sammy was awesome. I appreciated that he had us take a pit stop away from the crowds so re could use the restrooms and get snacks after the long drive. Chichen Itza was amazing and Sammy’s tour of it enhanced the experience. If you forgot a hat, there are plenty of vendors and highly recommended having one as shade is scarce and it’s usually mostly sunny. The food was amazing as was swimming and diving in the Cenote. Recommend paying for everything ahead of time to avoid any lines. We were only one of 3 couple on our tour that had our lockers and life jackets covered so we got to walk right through. Neither experience was over crowded so we got great pictures of everything. They provide an ice cold bottle of water but highly recommended bringing plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat, shoes you’re comfortable doing a lot of walking in and water shoes to change into at the cenote rather than flip flops because you’re going to want the added grip going down the slippery stone steps to the water.

Experience of a lifetime!

One of the best experiences I've had while visiting the Yucatan Peninsular. The tour was by Sat Mexico Tour, trouble free hotel transfer and the tour bus was comfortable and well organised. Our tour guide Cesar was well above and beyond my expectations, both informative and entertaining with a real passion for Mayan history. He was very honest, providing tips on how to make the most of our visit to each of the locations, and his guided tour of Chichen Itza provided invaluable insight into the historical site and the people that lived there. The Cenote was clean, the buffet lunch was great and Villadolid was fun too (you don't really need much time there). A fantastic experience with memories to last a lifetime!

Worth the money and the heat

What a great experience. Ruth, our tour guide did an amazing job of explaining the Mayan culture and history in both English and Spanish. She even made it a point as to where the genuine souvenirs at Chichen Itza were. Ramon did a great job of getting us all to each location safely and on time. Tips to help: If there is an earlier morning departure get that one. Even at 1000 it is still pretty hot. Also eat something before you leave and being a snack. There is a snack bar at Chichen Itza but you might not have time to stop. The restaurant had great service with delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. It was a good time to mingle with other people touring on our bus. The Cenote was absolutely beautiful. Wish we could have had more time. I suppose if you pack enough snacks and skip the Buffett you can spend it all in the cenote. Valladolid is a cute quiet town. Really a quick stop to get a few souvenirs and take a few photos of the church and park. All in all a great way to spend the day.

Truly Awesome, this trip is the perfect blend of culture, relaxation, and local markets. The best part? Our Guide and bus driver! Caesar, our guide, was there to give us as authentic an experience as possible. Full of knowledge, he made our trip to Chichen Itza interactive and captivating. Luis, our buss driver, had much needed waters ready for us and did some quick thinking to pick us up when our pick-up-location had to be modified (this is typical in Valladolid). What I didn’t like was the tour doesn’t include entrance to the Chichén Itzá place when that’s what the tour is about. You have to pay a separate fee $35 USD on top of the $69USD which doesn’t make sense. Just charge $104 for the entire excursion :/ Also, the upsell you to buy a Mayan Calendar and then the buffet doesn’t include drinks you have to pay for that. They don’t even give you water for free you have to pay for that too. All in all we spent 12hours away from the hotel and most of that time was in the car 3hours there 3 hours back. 2 hours at Chichén 1.5hrs Cenote and 30mins shopping. 2hrs in between traveling.

It was amazing! Our tourguides Samuel and Pastor were very nice and had answers to al my questions. In Chitzen Itza is was very very warm and humid but the walked us throughout the whole park. Valladolid wasn't very exciting but they tried to make the best of it. The cenote was very steeped but the temperature was nice and cold, just what we needed. The good was ❤️. Thank you guys. Amazing Experience for culture, food and history

It was an amazing experience! The tour guides Ruth and Norma were incredibly knowledgable of the culture and history of the Yucatan are and Chichen Itza. The bus driver Fabian was fast, safe and made sure the ride was comfortable. They were friendly, respectful, and I would recommend a tour by them any day. Incredibly funny individuals they make you feel welcome even when you are traveling alone making the outing even more enjoyable. I would definitely book another trip through Viator and especially if it is through the company SAT Mexico. Make sure to pack a bag with a towel, hat and bring plenty of water as the Yucatan area is mostly flatland jungle so the heat will go up and the sun is not forgiving. The Cenote is one of the most beautiful ones in the region from what I had read and it did not disappoint. You can see birds and other wildlife like catfish and iguanas there and the water is very clean. They offer a diving area and everyone is equipped with life jackets so as someone who cannot swim I felt incredibly safe. Visiting the town was great as we got to do tequila tasting and the locals were incredibly friendly. The only things I would change about the trip are add more time on the trip to Valladolid to explore some more of the plaza. I will never forget this experience and I would do it again!

The overall experience was decent however the bus for the long drive does not have sufficient AC and is very old! The guide was decent but it was hard to hear him at times. Also, I recommended having English and Spanish speaking tours separate and not switching between both.
