Everything! Crew was excellent. Food was great! Swimmimg and snorkeling were amazing. Dancing was a lot of fun too!!!
Dancer Cruise is the Best boat cruise adventure!
Ryan, Dec 2024
You have to get to the location of the dock for this, it was very easy to do so by taking the red city buses, the cost to use these is 12 pesos, or $ 1 US dollar.
The staff made check in very easy, but give yourself time to get there as the boat will not wait for late comers, it’s a busy docking port. As the Xcaret ferries operate out of the same dock.
The time in the boat is a joyous celebration! The crew is very accommodating as soon as you board, they encourage you to help yourself to the continental breakfast they provide. (Fresh fruit, Mexican pastries and coffee). Soon after anchor pulls up they introduce the crew members with a dance routine. (In both Spanish and English languages.)
They then start the alcohol service on the boat and go over some rules for the reef snorkeling. If you don’t wish to do snorkeling you can wait on the boat. Then they take you away from the reef to the ocean and open the waterslide and diving board and allow about a half hour of swimming and adventure in the ocean. They have great lifeguards and can help any one regardless of swimming ability. (They recommend a life jacket for those with poor swimming ability.) Then after the swimming adventure they serve lunch on the boat and start the crossing to Isla Mujares. The Lunch was some of the best local authentic Mexican food I have had. The fish ceviche and rota sauce was delicious, followed by some rice, fajita style beef and chicken and a cheese filled tortilla. We had zero issues with the quality of the food or drink while on this boat! The staff kept them coming as quickly as you could finish them.
Then we docked at the Api Pier in the Northern part of Isla Mujares. They gave everyone 2.75 hours to spend on the island, to shop, site see, or rent a golf cart. The staff also explained that the local shop keepers will look at resort bracelets and try to make you believe their are a waiter there. I only shopped with the honest shop keepers. (Not a reflection on the Dancer cruise or their staff.)
We came back from the island in a rainstorm and rougher waters but that did not stop the celebration on the ship. The crew had games and a dance party planned. At the end of the Cruise they offered pictures that were taken of your party for a nominal fee, a great photo keepsake. Thank you to all the Captain, crew, party staff and Chefs of the Dancer cruise! You made this a highlight of our trip! It was wonderful 10/10 stars!!
Fantastic trip
