Our tour guides Carlos and Ricardo were awesome. We learned a lot about history of Mayans and enjoyed the tour of Chichen Itza and swam in the cenote which was a wonderful experience. We didn’t have to wait to pick up the passengers since they had arranged separate transportation for each group to collect in one place that saved a lot of time.

Be sure to bring sun protection hats, sunglasses, etc. and wear comfortable shoes. But it's worth every cent.
Awesome time in Mexico.

Swimming in the cenote was the best part, especially after a hot day in the sin looking at the ruins.
Must Do!
Sandra_P, Mar 2024
Highly recommended. Our Tour guide, Mario was excellent. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic to share. It's a jammed back day that does not disappoint. Be prepared to be out all day, but so worth it.
Very mid experience

I really enjoyed most of the sites we went to but there were a few issues I had. 1. They say the day 12 hours which is already longer than I think is needed, but it was actually about 13.5 hours in all. 2. First was the Mayans. The guide (Jesus) had stresses on the bus NOT to buy from the vendors selling their works there that we were going somewhere after that to shop and we’d have much better options. There were so many great booths with handmade crafts, we even watched some stuff being made. I wish I would have bought there. 3. After the Mayans we went for lunch. The lunch was very good but after we ate, we watched a useless instructions on how the food was made and about some stones while we were standing in 95 degree heat. We then were taken into the “great store” and everything was like 4x the cost of what it should have been. Small turtle souvenir was $98. NO ONE from our group (about 75 ppl) bought anything other than snacks. He made us stay ant the store over 30 min. I really believe the guide was getting a kick back because why else would he have stopped us from buying at the Mayans. 4. We went to the cenote which was gorgeous. We were only given 1 hour though to get off the bus, change, get lockers, get life jacket, swim, get back in clothes and back to the bus. I would have liked more time to explore a little. I think the lunch place should have been skipped. Find a place to eat that’s not 25 min away. Spend 30 min at lunch rather than 1.5 hours to eat, hear about food being made and look at an outrageously priced store. Then have that extra time at the cenote and the place after. 4. After the cenote we went to a small outdoor craft town. It was so cute and I would have loved an hour there. He stressed 30 min and the bus will leave. 5. I have been on another tour in Cancun and it was a lot more personal. Smaller group and amazing guides. I have a pic with the guides because I felt like I knew them by the end of the day. This tour does not have that vibe at all.
Experience of a lifetime!
Dev_B, Mar 2024
It was fabulous. Our Tour guide Ricardo and associate Diego did such a great job Right from the very beginning of the two till end. Ricardo is a seasonal one with such a detailed background. He shared The log off his professional work around Mayan history and took us some specific areas.
Great experience
CHANNIE_T, Mar 2024
Our guide, Ricardo, was very knowledgeable and we had such a pleasant experience at Chichen Itza. He gave clear instructions and all three destinations went as planned.
Very interesting and informative.

A must to do when you are in Cancun
Marilyn_C, Feb 2024
The ruin of Chichen Itza is a must to see when you are in Cancun Mexico and swimming in Ik Kil Cenote is one in a life time experience. Our only comment is that we cannot understand why we used more than 1 1/2 hrs. to show us how to cook their native food and how to make the ceramic. We understand that they want to sell something but using more than 1 1/2 hrs. for that then giving us only 1 hr. for us to enjoy the swim is unfair. My husband heard that others have the same opinion too. The tour guide is Nice but too much information on the way to the destination is very tiring too. Our tour guide Henry in the ruins is brief and very informative.
A day trip to remember
Zora_M, Feb 2024
Loved the trip to Chichen itza and the site around it. We were impressed with the immersion into the lives of the local people and obsidian artisans in the village where we had lunch.
What a day!!!
Marc_P, Feb 2024
What a fun LONG day!!! They weren’t kidding when they said it would take 12 hours for the entire trip. Half of it was spent driving. Our guide, Diego, was super knowledgeable. Talked quite a bit about the destinations, the history, and his personal experiences, which was great, especially for newcomers like us. Definitely prepare for a long day, bring extra water and cash to use for buying souvenirs and snacks. Ask to have Diego as your guide! DI-E-GO!! :)

Logistic issues but an amazing time nonetheless
Guimy_d, Dec 2023
Logistics around this tour were confusing: it said I could get a hotel pick-up and let me select my hotel, but then I received an email informing me of a meeting point. Turns out the hotel pick-ups are only for the bigger resort on the highway, and this was not made clear at all. All the small prints seem to be contradictory. Then be aware that the timings are not realistic at all if you are getting on the bus as first passengers. It’s more like 14h/15h rather than 12h. I’d asked confirmation beforehand and I wish the adviser I spoke to had been clearer/more honest about that. NOW though, our tour guide Angel made up for all of this 300%!! He was so passionate and a really warm guy, super interesting and engaged with the group. You could tell that he really cared about our experience and wanted to show us a good time. The information he gave us was great and his knowledge was exceptional. Angel made such a difference and I really enjoyed my day thanks to him. So all in all, once you are aware of the slight logistics issues, it is still well worth it, and top marks for Angel :)
Perfecto was outstanding, could speak English very well. My wife fell in love with him.
Richard_K, Dec 2023
The pyramid with the 365 steps and what they all mean amazing calendar Perfecto explained about how all the other buildings work and their purpose, and how the snake was very important to them
Highly recommend!

Drink Water
Shane_N, Sep 2023
The most memorable moments were seeing Chichen Itza and swimming in the Ik Kil Cenote. It was hot outside, and we moved quickly as a group. The tour guide did his best to keep everyone together, although it may have worked out better to give everyone a meeting time at a specific location so people could move around the sites at their own pace. At Chichen Itza, we were given 15-20 minutes of free time; ten minutes later our guide and group had disappeared. The confusion coupled with the heat elevated emotions and created unnecessary stress. Additionally, we did not make it back to our hotel until after 10 p.m., which added to the stress because we were flying out early the next morning. Ultimately, adhering to a more accurate agenda and giving people the option to either move with the group or meet at a specific time and place would have made a long day more enjoyable
Response from Host, Sep 2023
Dear Traveler, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed Chichen Itza and the Ik Kil Cenote, two of our favorite spots! We genuinely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the group's movement and timing. Your feedback is invaluable, and we'll definitely consider implementing a meeting time system for free exploration and ensuring our itinerary aligns better with our promises. Your comfort and enjoyment are our top priority, and we're committed to making improvements based on your insights. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future and provide an even better experience. Safe travels! Warm regards, OlMar Travel Mexico Team
Very Interesting.

The visit to Chichen Itza ruins was very interesting. The swim on the Cenote was also exciting. The trip was a bit long. I would have been satisfied to end after the Cenote swim.
