Didn’t even get to go
Haily_C, Jan 2024
I messaged them 2 weeks before our excursion confirming, nobody got back to me. I messaged them again a week before our excursion, nobody got back to me. I had my boyfriend call and confirm that they would be doing the tour that day. The day before our excursion at 4pm that evening they said they only do the tours Thursday and Sunday, so we weren’t even able to go.
Horrible

While Viator indicates this tour starts at 10 AM, the company contacted me the evening before to let me know the hotel pick-up time is at 7:30 AM. When asked if I could cancel and switch to another day, I was told I could not. When asked why the pick-up time is so early I never received a response. I assume this tour spends hours picking up people at their hotels and dropping them off. It is misleading and false advertising for Viator to list start times and how long the tour will last when in fact those times are not accurate at all. Do better Viator.
Very organized and fun!

This was a really cool adventure! The bus picked us up at 11:30 am, we returned to our hotel at 4:30 pm. It included the snorkeling equipment, boat trip to two reefs, 3 guides on boat/water, 1 tour guide on land, bottled water, 3 course delicious lunch and time for shopping. Suggest bringing a change of clothes for after snorkeling. Men should shave face where mask goes to keep out water. 😁 Also put plenty of sunscreen on those exposed areas outside of life vest. The little shopping area has the restaurant, restrooms and several higher end shops. Right across the street is a grocery store with loads of stuff at pretty low prices. Super cool town area. Felt very organized and safe.
Beautiful views, too much travel time.

Picking up four different families and four wide spread out resorts took up almost the entire morning. I didn’t come to Mexico to wait on a bunch of families, so spread apart at different resorts. I basically wasted my time traveling. Too many kids.
Excellent Snorkel Tour

We were happy to find this snorkeling trip that was exactly what we wanted, only about 15 minutes from Vidanta, our resort, took about 4 hours total and competent, reputable, knowledgeable staff. Ishmael and Alejandro picked us up in a clean, comfortable van. We were lucky enough to end up with a private snorkel experience due to other no shows. Ciello, the captain/snorkel guide made sure our equipment worked correctly and was careful to ensure our safety. He showed us many beautiful fish, and we even saw a barracks and an eel! Definitely our best snorkel experience. The tour included lunch at a quaint Mexican restaurant, and tequila tasting was included. We loved seeing Puerto Hotel is which is so different than Cancun or the resorts. We already referred another couple to this tour company, and would definitely use them again.
Good time

Overall a good time. Expect to spend closer to 6-7 hours away from your hotel due to travel time. The snorkeling itself was lots of fun, and we saw lots of different fish and barracudas. The area was pretty shallow, so it’s suited for more beginner snorkelers. We were with a group of around 15 people, and the snorkeling felt crowded at times. I will say our previous snorkeling experience near Isla Mujeres was better because there was constantly something to see, but I liked this tour a lot because we got free lunch, free tequila tasting, and the chance to explore Puerto Morelos for about an hour. You will have to sit through a 15 minute “tour” (read: sales pitch) of the shopping center where lunch is located before snorkeling, and it is very overpriced. However, the shopping center itself is gorgeous. If going on this tour, I would recommend making an effort to slightly distance yourself from the group while snorkeling and exploring the town outside of the shopping center.
Nice trip

Tour operator never responded to online contact through viator. Hung up on me when I used resort phone to call number provided- twice. Never showed up for pickup. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. I'm still trying to get my money back through viator
No cumplen con el paquete que ofrecen
Javier_A, Jul 2023
Horrible experiencia.
