My family of 4 (ages 53, 50, 22, and 19) loved this snorkeling adventure. It was a 30 minute shuttle ride from our Cancun resort. We saw many turtles, underwater statutes, underwater cenotes, and lots of beautiful fish. All the Team Pineapple staff members (Charlie, Manuel, and the Captain) were friendly, helpful, and fun. We purchased the photo and video package and they turned out great. I highly recommend this adventure.

I will attempt to come back and answer the question of if you pre-pay for 10 adults, but only 9 show up will you get a partial refund? For those of us who could make it, this was an excellent trip. Followed the instructions to chat with the tour operator before our trip to confirm pick-up transportation - as long as you're staying somewhere on the '7' you will be fine. We were at an Air BnB and had no issues scheduling the pick-up directly with Total Snorkel, they took my calls to confirm day-of and was a great experience with booking and logistics - all in English. The tour itself was extraordinary, we really did see the sea turtles and perhaps the only think I'd like to leave feedback on is that we confirmed several times to not wear any sunscreen. So most of the group just simply wore full body swim suits with hoods and surprisingly, no one got burned. They didn't make anyone shower beforehand, we could have simply just put sunscreen on - I guess its just knowing that most sunscreen is destructive to the environment. If you're very fair skinned with light hair as myself, I suggest just simply wearing a full suit. The boat trip is great, we were able to bring all our bags onto the boat to keep with us. Very attentive guide and was very helpful at keeping everyone safe. Our upset here was that we had someone start snorkeling who got a nosebleed, horrendous as always, blood everywhere. They helped them get back to the boat and just were able to rejoin us for the next snorkel location. We had varying experience in our group, mostly first-timers. Everyone had a great time. If this is an experience you've always wanted to do, I can't recommend this venture group enough to go with Total Snorkeling, we had a great time (much like many, many other experiences) and so will you.

Plenty of great tours around cancun sadly this was not one of them

We did 6 tours in cancun and the rest were great! This one was really bad. I have done a lot of snorkelling and diving I would not recommend this tour to anyone to be honest. Plus side we saw a turtle, pufferfish and two squid! Negative... the tour guide really seemed to not like her job, she didnt tell us much about the sites and made them all sound boring, we were rushed through every site (literally 5 min at the last site)- so the supposed 3 hour tour was about 1.5 to 2 hours (and that includes getting all the gear ready and tested). Usually there is a debrief about what we could see and what we did see often with waterproof cards showing fish normally seen in an area so people can learn the names of the fish we see. We didnt even get to learn the variety of turtle that we saw. Loads of other tour groups there all diving the same area so there was a ton of people in the water (not the tours fault) however it was difficult for everyone to find their way to the guide, I had to point out our guide to a few people so we didnt get separated. (she was in a pretty big rush). All in all it was rushed, we didnt learn anything about the creatures we were there to see, and I wouldnt say it felt all that safe especially for new people or those who may not be the strongest swimmers. I do feel cheated out of the money I spent on this tour unfortunately.

My kids had a blast

Saw this Excursion and thought it would be fun for my older kids and I to go on. Everything about it was smooth and effortless. We were picked up on time and quickly transported to the dock. Checking in was super easy so easy that we were an hour early. We were able to get all of our gear and are on the boat quickly, I felt that we had good instructions and the locations that we went were very close and met all of my expectations. As soon as we jumped into the water, we were surrounded by a ton of fish. The locations were amazing. Our children saw four turtles. The crew was awesome and very knowledgeable. The entire experience was flawless. Because we started an hour early I was a little worried that we have to be waiting at the end for our bus but after showering and getting a little snack our transportation was there and got us back an hour early also. My kids are still talking about our wonderful snorkeling experience .

Excellent! Cpt. Alex, Oscar and Renata were friendly, professional and courteous. Shuttle driver was prompt and talkative. The conditions were choppy, but our guides made sure we had the best experience possible. We saw turtles, rays, and lots of fish. A special note: our dive guide, Oscar, took extra care of a younger swimmer who was struggling with her mask and the waves. He was very patient and thoughtful. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

If you want to have a great simple snorkeling experience, this is the trip for you! It's well organized, pickup points were easy. The tour is small, only 7 people on ours, so we got the maximum amount of time at each location. Hundreds of fish, a huge sea turtle, beautiful underwater sites, and still have plenty of time in the day to do other things. Moises and his crew were fantastic! We did not get the picture package but the pictures were amazing as well if you're looking of cool underwater shots. Total Snorkeling is awesome!

Great short(ish) snorkeling excursion

This was a great quick trip if you love snorkeling and either can't or don't want to dedicate yourself to a full day excursion. I think this would be an especially good trip for beginners as the guide (Moises) was very patient and helpful but still able to keep things moving so we could see a variety of places in just a couple of hours. The company does provide all of the equipment that you need, but I do recommend bringing a towel and a dry change of clothes so that you can rinse off and have dry clothes on the trip back (which for us was about 30-45 minutes). If you want to take your time snorkeling then I would recommend a different excursion as this one does go by fairly quickly.

This Trip was amazing. I highly recommend going on the 7 am tour! You get to see the sunrise and the snorkeling was impeccable. We saw 2 sea turtles, a lot of fish, a small nurse shark, and a lot of rays. It was very much worth every penny!

No frills tour with 4 wonderful snorkeling stops, excellent guide, accomplished captain, and excellent underwater photographer! We were made to feel welcome as soon as we were picked up from our hotel. The check-in process was simple and painless. Our boat was only 9 guests, so nice small group with plenty of room to sit. Don't bring anything you don't want to get wet though. Our guide was awesome with lots of explanations and expert spotting (turtles, ray, etc.). No alcohol, no fancy catamaran, just lots of great snorkeling!

Super Fun Snorkeling Tour

Our snorkeling tour was awesome. We made 4 different stops- sunken statues, a shipwreck, underwater tunnels, and we got to swim with a sea turtle! Oscar was an amazing guide. I would highly recommend.
