It was a great experience exploring Mayan history. Totally worth the tour as Tulum was a great start, then refreshed in a Cenote along with a buffet lunch followed with Coba and Playa del Carmen. Tour guide Galo made our day and thanks to Orlando (Driver) as well.

Very good tour
Jennifer_P, Mar 2024
It was a small group tour. They were on time for pick up. Gave very good information throughout the tour. We got to Tulum as it was opening so there were no crowds which was amazing. Coba was interesting and more in the jungle. The bicycle taxi was a great way to quickly get back to the ruins at coba. The cenote was refreshing and lunch was at this location. Good food. Pastor was our guide and was great. Louis was our driver, also great.
Response from Host, Mar 2024

I buy the trip for my family and they said was the most beautiful experience, the personal was so nice and professional.
Amazing experiences, but on a rushed & disorganized tour
Maegen_S, Jan 2024
While the places we saw on the tour were amazing, the tour seemed disorganized. They actually left us at the hotel on the morning our tour was scheduled -- we had emailed at least 20 minutes prior to pick-up to let them know we were waiting on the front steps of the designated hotel. When we heard my name called we had shown them our ticket with my name and they said it was for a different tour. As the bus was pulling away we received an email saying the bus was going to be leaving soon (even though it had already left without us). It was extremely frustrating, and after contacting an agent through the app they rescheduled us for the next day. We made the best of it, but we recommend asking to see their list to make sure they're not reading your name wrong. Also, the bus that picked us up did not say "Amigo Tours," but "Mayab Travel," so look for this name during pick-up! The tour guides were super friendly, but in total we were gone about 15 hours, a decent portion of which was spent travelling in the bus rushing from place to place. In sum: the Tulum guided tour was informative and interesting and the ruins were awesome to wander around, but we needed more time after the tour to walk around independently; the buffet had amazing food and the cenote was so much fun to swim in but we were rushed for both; we barely made it into the Coba ruins park (literally within 1 minute of closing), and then only had just shy of an hour to explore the whole park which hosts multiple ruins; and Playa del Carmen was a pointless stop since we only had 30 minutes at the end of the day in this city (it's essentially just a stop to pick-up/drop-off people -- it would have been a much more efficient day without this stop). I really wish I could give this more stars because our guides were so wonderful, but it just was not the experience we thought we paid for.
Response from Host, Jan 2024
Dear Maegen_S, thanks for taking the time to let us know your opinion. we understand that the tour might feel a bit rushed, however, since it is a shared service, an itinerary must be accomplished. Thanks in any case for giving us a chance, we sincerely appreciate it. Amigo tours team
Very pleasant experience
Taniesha_M, Jan 2024
Very nice tour Mayan lunch was delicious. I would recommend having smaller group tours and one central meeting point to start tour.
Cenote experience
Mahesh_S, Dec 2023
Tulum and the Cenote experience was awesome could have had some more time at Coba it was rushed, we could avoid the shopping
Good for Español speaking
Alana_K, Dec 2023
We speak English and were put onto a trip with someone who spoke little English. We were able to understand enough to at least make the trip worth it. However, we ended up being gone for over 14 hours and I am assuming we missed our transfer back to the hotel so the guide arranged for us to have someone she personally knew to drive us back in their personal car with their child aboard. Overall, it was nice seeing the sites but we got very little history and if I were to do it again, I would book with a different company.
Response from Host, Dec 2023
Dear Alana_K Thank you for your feedback, we're sorry the tour did not meet your expectations, we do our best to make sure this doesn't happen. We hope you can give us another opportunity in the future. Kind Regards Amigo tours
Memories Made!
RACHEL_K, Nov 2023
Amigo Tours really came through. Esther is awesome! From waiting an extra 8 minutes when I ran late for the pick-up...to keeping the tour group engaged...making the history come alive while on the bus and onsite...to making sure no one got left behind at the various stops. Very accommodating...thanks again Esther 🤗🤗🤗
A keepsake for life

It was a long day, but we got to see everything. Having my girlfriends obsidian blessed was the High Point of the trip.
The pyramids are the high...
Isatou_C, Sep 2023
The pyramids are the high light of the trip the tour guide was so unprofessional she cannot speak English and we feel isolated she speaks to the majority Spanish speaking clients. we kind of fend for ourselves even though we paid for the trip. In Coba the tricycle operator was more knowledgeable and we understand the history he explain different things to us. The Guide again told us the meeting point. The lunch was also a fluke we had to ask when we are suppose to eat and she show us the restaurant he must have it explain in Spanish. Am conflicted about my recommendation for now. Carry some money Tip is shamelessly ask and expected by everyone in all stages of the trip.
Bitten up like a beat down in Tulumm
vernice_s, Sep 2023
Our tour guide was the worse we've ever experienced and I've used viatar for.tours all over the world...picking up all the guests took over 3 hours..the bus/ van was uncomfortable..our.guide primarily spoke Spanish..we got bitten up severely in Tulum when our tour guide stated there weren't mosquitoes in Tulum and she discouraged me from walking 200 yards to get our bug repellent in the van..she said I could go back but she was going to continue walking and not wait for me..meanwhile my husband was miserable as he got over 20 bites .I had on leggings n long sleeve shirt I still got over 15 bites...it really affected our experience plus when we mentioned to her btw her name was carmen..she brushed it off and said we're all getting bitten up ..she was starting to argue with my husband becsuse he was miserable..Not to mention mosquitoes cause disease and covid cases are on the rise again..we didn't get back to our resort until 7pm from 5am in the mouring...too long and didn't feel like.we got our money's worth
Great time
Jon_S, Aug 2023
The ruins were great. Our guide at Telum was very informative. The waters at the Cenote were refreshing. The only feedback is that we always seemed rushed to get to the next place. We didn’t have very much time at each place. I’m sure it’s because of all of the travel time involved. Also, instruction on what to do at each place was too limited. When we went to Coba, we didn’t know where to go to get bike rental or even to enter into the park. All in all, I recommend the tour. Great places to visit. Food was authentic and great.
Disappointing experience
Raj_S, Apr 2023
The bus ride was very comfortable. Mina was a very friendly guide. The meal provided was very good. The English speaking guide at Tulum did not explain anything and he was in a great hurry. Two suggestions for improvement 1. Amigo tours needs to improve the quality of their guides in explaining the places and they should lead the guests at all times. In Coba we were left on our own and it was indeed disappointing. Other tourist agencies do a better job in accompanying and explaining the places 2. Water should be provided as a courtesy to the guests. It is a common practice to provide water to the guests, that i have seen with the other tour operators
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Dear Raj Thank you so much for taking the time to share your opinion with us, we deeply appreciate it. We are sorry that the tour was not a 5 stars experience to you, we are working hard to improve our services. Mariana, Amigo tours

Great tour
Emily_K, Jan 2023
The tour was very good. Tulum is very nice and our tour was great. The Mayan village with the cenote was also quite nice and the buffet was delicious. Coba is lovely but one hour is not enough time to explore, even on bike. You really do have just enough time to snap a few photos and leave. However at the end of the tour, I wanted to walk back to my hotel at Playa del Carmen. Our tour guide told me to wait because she had a bag to give me when she dropped me off. I tried to tell her a few times I wanted to leave but she insisted I stay. So I waited an hour on the bus and then a car came to drop me off. They dropped me off at the wrong hotel, insisted it was the right one (insinuating I'm too dense to know where I was picked up), and then I never got a bag. It took up an hour of my time and seemingly for no reason.

Great sites, but recommend different company.
Donald_L, Jan 2023
Tour sites were great, but company was an hour late for the 4:50 am pickup reportedly due to mechanical issues, but the company didn't inform us of delay the delay and we were hung up on twice when trying to call the company. Multiple hotel stops for pickups. Friendly guide, but the English translation was a bit difficult to understand.
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Dear Donald_L, we are really sorry to read your experience wasn't 5 stars, we have investigated your case and have been informed that the tour guide had an inconvenience which made her arrive late, we are very sorry about this, thank you for letting us know, hope you have a nice day! Best things to do Cancun
Manuel_C, Nov 2022
Was taken to one of the most beautiful places to visit in Cancun, Tulum beautiful beach, Mayan ruins and a great history lesson followed by a swim in an amazing Cenote. The tour guide Esther was the best made the trip fun yet educational teaching us the history of the Mayans. Would definitely recommend this trip with #amigotours.
Response from Host, Nov 2022
Dear Manuel_C, we are very happy to know that you have enjoyed the tour alongside our dear colleagues, we hope to see you again! Ivana, Amigo Tours
Very organised tour. The crew were very professional
Maria_E, Oct 2022
The tour was very organised and the schedule for the day was explained very well. Why I gave it 5* is because the tour crew Esther, Melanie and Fabian were very professional. They were more concerned about our enjoyment and not once mentioned the 'tip' word or how much they were entitled to receive. Of course, I was more than happy to tip with the kind of service that was provided.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Dear Maria_E, we are so glad to know you had a nice time with our dear partners, thank you for leaving your review, hope to see you again soon! Ivana, Amigo Tours
