A TWO STAR activity with 5 Star service. The tour company were excellent. Pickup was great, refreshments provided in the air conditioned mini van and good guiding. I’ve given the tour 5 stars for the way the tour was organised but ultimately I would not recommend visiting Tulum by itself as a tour. There is barely anything there and what there is you barely see and certainly won’t photograph. Sensibly they have shut off all of the buildings to protect them. This also means that they have closed off all of the foot paths that cross through the site and so I promise you will not see what you might think you are going to see from looking at historic photos available on the web. The main attraction, the Castillo is seen from 30m away (~90ft for you primitive people) and there are other buildings in the way even then. You won’t see the stairs up to the temple. You won’t see the iconic view of the Castillo on the cliff edge. Sorry to say, but don’t waste your time or money. You will not get to experience anything useful. (Plus there is very little shelter and you can’t take bottles of water in with you)

Tulum Half-day tour from Cancun

It was a 1.5 to 2 hour trip there and the ride back was also 1.5-2 hours. So if you are coming from Cancun, probably make the trip with more activities rather than do a half-day if you're staying in/near Cancun. Other than that, Nestor was a great guide, informative, funny, and Patient. Carlos was our driver and did an amazing job driving, and had great music playing the whole time. The Tulum ruins were interesting. It was very "touristy" and smaller than I thought it was, but it was worth it.
Poor contact service. Waste time and money for a foreigner who are not familiar with the place.

It is a terrible instruction for meeting at the pick up point, we missed the driver for standing in front of the hotel instead of the hotel lobby, there is no way to contact with the driver directly about the pick up point and time before arriving. The mobile app contact service is terrible, They never response no matter what you say. We called them about the situation, and the only way is to reschedule another day. Waste time and money.
A half day with twice the price!

We loved our host/tour guide. I think he spelled his name Adai His narrative was fun and informative and we felt that he took our safety very seriously as well (with regard to getting separated on a very crowded day and also being careful on the path). His approach to the history of the ruins was very engaging “Think like the Mayans” with interactive questions and answers. We loved every minute

This tour was ok for what we paid, seemed a little disorganized and we waited around a lot. Also, apparently within the last week Tulum has stopped allowing plastic bottles on site. Understandable and I support sustainability and bringing a reusable water bottle, however this was not communicated and therefore many people were forced to throwaway full bottles of water that were given by the tour operators with no indication that they wouldn’t be allowed?

We really enjoyed the actual tour of the ruins with the tour guide. The ride from Cancun is an hour and a half half each way making the total time for the tour five hours. We did not like one of vendors at the ruins site, we felt like they were increasing the price to take advantage. Be aware.

Had an amazing time with Amigo tours. The guide was hilarious and so knowledgeable at the same time. It’s one of the wonders of the world. It’s spectacular, it’s an absolute must do.

Van transportation was very uncomfortable. Too many people were packed on the van. There was very little leg room too. Drive was too long and bumpy. I could not enjoy the tour after being in pain after the ride there. Never again.

Arturo and Javier were amazing. The ride is long, but Javier got us there timely in a safe manner. Arturo was animated and gave us great history of the ruins. Highly recommend booking this tour.
Great 1/2 day to Tulum

This was the perfect Tulum excursion. We wanted to be able to enjoy the Mayan Ruins while also not being exhausted from running around all day. Yosendy was an excellent tour guide and our driver Havi was also great. They provided snacks and even cold wash cloths for when we returned to the van after spending a couple of hours in the sun while walking around the ruins.

The ability walk close to the ruin and have the history explained was fantastic. My tour was a 1/2 day from time I left my hotel until the time I arrived back. It was just the right amount of time..

JESSICA and KALETH were the BEST! Communication was on point from the start. We were clear on pick up/drop off and what the tour would include. From the start they had plenty of water and healthy snacks. Kaleth was a great driver. Jessica was very informed and could answer all of our questions. You could tell she has done her research and is passionate about the subject. Would go on this tour again with the exact same guides. 10 stars!

Schnelle Tour um Tulum kennenzulernen. Wenn. Man kompakt etwas machen will ist die Tour richtig, für Tiefgang und viel Zeit mit der Anlage ist die Tour nicht geeignet. Aber gute Tour für schnelle Einblicke.
