A Cartagena experience

Nikos was very informative and passionate about his country to share that experience with us. I would recommend this tour to others that come to Cartagena.

Guide never showed up and called 45 minutes after start time.

The tour guide never showed up, 45 minutes after the confirmed time of the start of the tour I received a message saying they had to cancel. Always book through the hotel concierge!

A bit short changed

4 hour tour was only 2 1/2. Never made it to the Bocogrande neighborhood, which we hoped to see. The guide was pleasant but had limited English skills.

Incredible! The guide met us within the cruise port and we traveled from site to site with our driver and guide in a wonderfully air conditioned car. Our guide provided a very comprehensive tour with the history of the city as well as an overview of Columbia.

We had such a great time with our tour guide John, we learned a lot from him about the city and he took us to some really beautiful places. It was a great overview of the city and we would highly recommend this tour! Taking the cable car up to the top of the mountain was probably my favorite part!

The city tour was just great. Nico was our guide and he went above and beyond. His English was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable, adaptable to our group’s ability to tolerate walking and the extreme heat. He was thoughtful and funny and kind. We all tipped him despite the cultural expectations to the contrary. Any group would be fortunate to get Nico as their host to the city.

Elisa was a wonderful guide and had a wealth of knowledge about the city of Cartagena. She spoke excellent English. The driver was also great. Elisa went out of her way to make sure we had a fun 4 hours!

The tour was okay. It included a lot of driving and seeing main sites including walled city, getsamani, boca grande, Castillo San Felipe, and convento de la Popa. We walked the fort and convent, and a bit of the walked city. It was decent tour of the city which included driving to the various sites and neighborhoods. We got some basic nuggets but for the price paid we were expecting and hoping for a lot more information about the history, stories, architecture, and other interesting facts.

Alvaro and Gabriel were incredible. You can tell Al has a true love of his country and it bleeds into the tour repeatedly. He was great with our teens keeping us all engaged and excited about the day. I recommend this team highly!

Good introduction to Cartagena

Alvaro was a very energetic and friendly host. He gave a great tour. We spent more time in the car going to places that needed a car than I anticipated ... would have liked to have spent more time in the walled city itself .. this tour concentrated mainly on La Popa and the Spanish fort. At the end we just walked back through Getsemani and ended in the walled city. Alvaro is knowledgable and will answer any questions you have. If you get him you will not be disappointed.

Luis spoke about Cartagena and Colombia with an exuberant passion for the place he live. He provided great history of the city and country including the Monastery, San Felipe de Barajas Fort and walled city. His recommended local restaurant La Tinaja was great.

I took the tour with my Mom who is 84. The city is very hot and humid and Luis, our tour guide, and the driver worked extra hard to make sure my mom was not exposed for too long a period. We learned a great deal about Cartegena and its history on the tour. I highly recommend this for those who want an in depth overview of the city. Thanks Luis for making it a great day!

Tour was good, but it was for 3 hours no 4 hours, like the tour saids that, we didn't go a place because the driver didn't expense more gas, the tour girl was good.

Fantastic Ciry tour. Elise the tour guide made it even more worthwhile. Highly recommend this tour especially with Elsie. Her native Colombian knowledge made it even better. Everybody in town knows her. Wherever we went, she was greeted by the locals.

Able to see most main attractions. Keika was knowledgeable and energetic in sharing cultural insights we wouldnt get by walking around alone. Driving saved time and airconditioning welcome break between sites. Still lots of walking so you felt part of neighborhoods.

Outstanding Day in Cartagena

This was one of the best experiences we've had while cruising. Our Guide, Inri Grijalba, was very knowledgeable and showed us some amazing areas of Cartagena. Inri asked if there were any particular things/places we wanted to see, and then took us there without question. He was able to get us good deals on Emerald Jewelry and to some amazing coffee shops. The walled city is very beautiful and full of history. Would absolutely do this again and definitely request Inri to be your guide.
