What To Expect

Arrive on time to the meeting point in central Cartagena in the early morning, then travel to the coastal town in a comfortable speed or standard boat, depending on the option selected.

Upon arrival to Isla Grande, we'll spend an hour approx. snorkeling around the coral reefs. Refuel with some water and local fruits before continuing to another magical stop in Rosario Island.
Here you'll have some free time to swim, relax or get a massages (own expense); you're welcome to visit the local bars for drinks too (own expense).

We continue to Cholón, known as the party island. We will enjoy a mini party in the water where customers from other boats can also join. Alcoholic drinks will be offered at own expense.

Next stop is lunch at Playa Blanca. Following a hearty meal, spend the afternoon swinging in the hammocks, lounging on the beach, or sipping tropical drinks from the bar.

You're dropped off back at the original meeting point in Cartagena at the end of the day.

A great day tour if you want to see as many islands in a day

This boat tour was a great way to see multiple islands. Although they cram too many people in the one boat and it was very uncomfortable in the heat to be squished like sardines next to each other for the whole journey. Be aware that you get very very wet on the ride back in the afternoon, i think every person got off that boat completely drenched. If you are looking to party at the beach islands i don't think this is the right tour, you only get to spend a very short amount of time at the party island.

False Advertising (Horrible Experience, Waste of Time, Don’t Book

Booked the $120 tour that promised 4 VIP Islands. Was made to join the regular group visiting the Fort, a small island with a very small beach (Encantada), a party island that looked liked a dump (Cholon) and Mambo where lunch was served. There were two of us in the tour that paid for the 120 so when I complained, they made us take another boat with total strangers to take us to Anaho Beach Club. That boat just dropped us off there and left us. Beach club is a bit ran down offering expensive drinks. It was already 6pm with the sunset over and we were asked to ride the boat of the club back to Bocagrande where we got dropped off. This is very far from where we started and we had to take a cab back to our hotel. THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD. THIS TOUR OPERATOR IS NICKEL AND DIMING PEOPLE WITH TOTAL DISREGARD TO THEIT SAFETY and WELL-BEING.

I recommend to get the $95vip tour, not the 120

Get the $95, not the $120vip tour, your would be waisting your money. While it was a fun trip overall, I do have a few points to warn people about. We started the tour by finding out not everyone had paid the same amount, even tho we used the same tour agency. It was only 2 of us that had booked the more expensive one. So the other person asked the guide about it, if we were all doing the same tour. But it being different prices, the guide told him that it is a different tour, but we are going the same way, and when I asked the same tour guide, he said it was the same tour but probably everyone else has a discount or something, just very fishy. Most of the tour was the same as others in the boat, after Barú, he said that beacuse we booked the other tour we had to go in another boat now, (wich at this point it seemed like they did this just so we didn't complain, when they were planing to give us the same tour for more money) we did and ended up in another beach club, it was only the 2 of us there. And at the end we were dropped of at a beach 10 minutes from the meeting point, so we had to find our own way back. I believe they just sell it differently price for the same tour. I would recommend to just get the $95 vip tour rather that the $125. It was nice overall until we basically got dropped off at this place, that didn't seem like part of the tour, we decided to head back earlier, because the weather was getting worse, so we head back with the staff and have to figured out our way back to downtown.

Our tour guide cesear was great he was very attentive. The boat was small but we made several stops. It also included food at the end but not alcohol and only 1 bottle of water per person. It’s a nice experience and you get to meet other people on the boat. Would have preferred a bigger boat

This excursion was amazing! I loved the different places that we visited including the island party and snorkeling. The speed boat ride was exciting and relaxing, not to mention the music was great! Alex was an amazing guide. Luis and Fran were helpful as well! All of the tour guides, such as Milton, were beyond helpful. Great tour! Highly recommend!

We loved this… to be honest the first island we could have done without it was with Spanish guides so we didn’t understand and it was a hundred degrees. The rest was heaven … I believe some people said paradise… such fun and beautiful.. one of those pinch yourself days… so many highlights. We really loved this day so much. It be careful as we stepped off the boat at Cartagena coming back the food/doughnut sellers surrounded us and my friends bag was slashed and they took her phone and within and hour had locked her out of all her accounts and taken her identity… so perfect day and you’ll be so relaxed… so just remember you are in Colombia when you land… this was not the fault of the boat company they were great… it was a reminder to keep your valuables close../ we loved having cocktails in the easiest deep ocean.. and going on jet skis and snorkelling around the tiny islands.. wonderful

We had an amazing full day visiting all 5 islands as stated in the itinerary. Our tour guy was Charlie . He speaks English and is very versatile amongst a diverse group, he knows how to keep a group entertained while having fun under the sun. Charlie is knowledgeable with what he does. Great guy ! Little bit disapointed

We departed with 1.5 hours delay. We were told that the boat we were supposed to get on had an accident and they had to look for another boat in the last minute. We read several other reviews mentioning delays as well so not really sure if it was an accident or something that happens regularly. However, at least they made up for it and we returned to Cartagena about an hour later than scheduled. However, I think that 5 Islands is a bit too much for 1 day, it felt really rushed, especially at Placa Blanca we had about 40-45 minutes and we spent all of them having lunch and didn't have any time to go into the water or walk along the beach. I also think Rosario Islands are a bit overrated. They're not really what they look like on the pictures, Cholon and Playa Blanca are a bit overcrowded (although there is also a more quiet part of Playa Blanca) and the water is not really clean. We loved the snorkeling part though! It was beautiful, the water was clear and we spent enough time snorkeling.

The tour guide was really helpful. The islands are beautiful in general, but the whole thing was very touristic... Especially the Rosario island was a mess, too many people in little space. Baru, though, was way much better. So it would have been better to spend more time there.

This excursion was a blast!! It was a very long day though, be prepared to be out on the water from 8am to 4pm. It was the perfect combination of culture, history, relaxation, and fun! The islands were beautiful, and you could see so many different types of fish snorkeling in the coral reefs. The only downside is that the ride back to the dock was very rough, and they did not forewarn us of how rough it was going to be. We got splashed a lot and the wind was incredibly strong.

Very fun adventure with the most beautiful man in Cartegena! The trip was very well organized and the team was very helpful. The only downside is getting on and off the boat. I wasn’t a super fan of the party island because of the overwhelming amount of vendors but the guide was very helpful in navigating that part - letting us know who to engage and asking any questions we had and helping us negotiate. Overall, it was a safe fun day. The guide was also bilingual which helped a lot.

The water had so many beautiful colors in it. Wish snorkeling was longer and beach time was longer. Trying to fit different islands in made it too busy to really enjoy. First beach make sure you have water shoes because it is not sand! The water was very rough that day so the boy was slamming down hard but not their fault that is all Mother Nature.
