This two-hour adventure tour of Catalina’s spectacular interior will introduce you to the unique and protected side of the island that few visitors get to see. We’ll venture ten miles to the Airport-in-the-Sky and be on the lookout for wildlife, including bald eagles, bison, deer and the endemic Catalina Island fox. Once we reach our destination, we’ll visit the nature center and see a Native American gathering site.

You MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to boarding to check in. We leave promptly at the scheduled time and cannot wait. When booking travel to the island please make sure to give enough time from arrival to island to get to tour departure location.
We are located on Catalina Island, You must secure transportation to the island to take the tour. There are no refunds if you miss the tour.
TRAVEL TO CATALINA IS NOT INCLUDED. Transportation needed by Ferry to Island.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 9 travelers

Our experience was lovely. Our tour guide Abran was very good at giving us the history of Catalina and answering any questions. He also stopped a few times to allow us to take some nice pictures and he offered to take our family pic as well. We definitely recommend it the views are breathtaking. We got great views of the bison.

Loved our driver and all his great stories. Beautiful area. We saw Eagles, Buffalo and Foxes. Love all the beautiful scenery. Over all a fabulous time and well worth being inside and no dust. Loved it!

The tour was great. Was torn between renting golf cart and the tour. So glad we did the tour. Our guide was great friendly and had so much info. He made it so fun for us. We took allot of pics of some great views and even saw some bison and a fox. Would definitely do it again

It was a great tour. Our driver was a delight. I loved his knowledge of the history of the island combined with his sense of humor. We were lucky to run into a Buffalo. He made a real effort to take the time for us to experience all the beautiful scenery.

Breathtaking Catalina Island Eco Tour

Catalina Island is breathtaking! Parts of it reminded me of Ireland - so lush and green and undeveloped. Our driver, Sal, was quite knowledgeable, having grown up on the island. We didn't see any of the fox, bison, eagles, etc, which was fine with us. Maybe don't advertise that aspect of the tour and people will not be disappointed? Also, Sal's "schtick" was a bit cheesy, again, don't need silly jokes. enjoyed hearing some of the Wrigley/Cubs history of the island, but need to confirm you've got your facts straight Loved the nature and the eucalyptus trees and the mark of the woodpeckers and the vast beauty!

Super Cool Tour of the Island's Interior

I've always wanted to explore the interior of Catalina Island. Not sure why but water-tours hold no interest to me as much as the opportunity to see Catalina's rugged interior. And this tour really gives you a great quick peak at the mysterious interior. Easy logistics to get onto the bus, and great guide who explained what we were seeing. I loved that this tour took us all the way to the island's remote airport. I didn't even know the island had an airport, but it was super cool! The airport even had a little restaurant and gift shop. Overall a really super cool trip and I am so glad we signed up for this one.

Beware - the operator will not wait if you are late. We arrived on the scheduled ferry and the tour commenced 5 mins before we arrived. To make sure -book the later tour in case of unexpected (and unexplained) ferry delays.

A very good tour of Catalina. Tour guide was great. Very informative and I learned a lot. Breathtaking scenery and views. Very rugged and bumpy roads, which can be expected on backroads. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone who is afraid of heights, has limited mobility or gets car sick. Tour guide/driver was very safe, kind and considerate. This tour provides a good overview in two short hours and is worth the price.
