The best food in China!

We came to Chengdu knowing we would find the best food in China, but this tour (and our guide Fiona) exceeded all expectations! We had so much food and of so great quality, we really cannot decide what was best. Fiona is an excellent, friendly and funny guide! I would definitely recommend!

Excellent and filling food tour

Great food tour with Fiona. She was energetic and her English was excellent. She took us to so many local spots that we would never have found our own. The food was more than plentiful and delicious. Make sure you show up hungry. Would highly recommend!

The tour was well arranged. Our guide Daisy was great, very knowledgeable, helpful and spoke English very well. Not her fault but when I booked the tour well in advance I had said we were vegetarian. She only got the message just as the tour was about to start so food could not be planned for our dietary requirements which was a little disappointing. The food was interesting and we loved the Sichuan tacos. One of the restaurants was very noisy and lots of the customers were smoking. The bar at the end of the tour was a highlight for us.

Chino our guide is a real foodie and shared his knowledge of food which extended far over the local cuisine. We ate great food and a lot of it... It was also a sweet moment to talk english and meet others who do, since in this time there are practically no tourists in town.

We have traveled to many countries and taken many food tours. This was the best food tour we've ever taken. We got to experience many traditional local dishes, the tuk tuks were a great adventure and our guide, Ming, was knowledgeable and fun. We would highly recommend.

As a foodie from Northern California, this tour is a great introduction to the cuisine of Chengdu. It has demystified all that we see on the streets and restaurants. Olivia chose a great representation of Sichuan cuisine. I can’t imagine a more qualified guide than her!!!

Visited four small local food vendors who each specialized in jut one dish: noodles, beef skewers, dumplings and fried chicken. Riding through the back alleys of hte Muslim quarter i nth tuk tukd was part of the fun.

If you want to experience the local culture and cuisine this is it. Chino is absolutely wonderful, Very attentive. The beers never stop flowing. Tuk Tuk is a new travel experience. We went to places you will never find again on your own. We topped the evening in a Chinese pub with local spirit.

We are bilingual English and Chinese speakers and the tour went beautifully. Our tour guide Mia, had perfect english and brought us to so many places you usually wouldn't find. The tuk tuk drivers were so kind, the unlimited beers were great and there wasnt a dish we didnt like!

Best food tour with Bo who was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic...pancakes on a street stall, dumplings from a residential unit/restaurant where you come in thru the front door and exit thru a window made into a door, then noodles from heaven followed by Sichuan stir fry ending at a cute Chinese retro bar downing bottles of plum wine...happy people 😁

Was in China for 14 days, booked 18 different tours and this was one of the top 3 tours we went on. This is a must in Chengdu. Our Tour Guide, River River is his name, was excellent - one of the best tour guides in China. His english is excellent and he knows a ton about the local cuisine. The food places he brought us to were excellent. Also, you get all the beer and water you want. Drivers were excellent. I felt very safe in the Tuk-Tuk.

This was a wonderful experience in Chengdu. We tried several different restaurants that we would have never found on our own. Chino was an excellent guide who spoke great English. Our six year old was traveling with us and Chino made sure to include her in the entire experience. There was always something for her to eat as well. Highly recommend! It was a lot of fun.

Bo was an amazing guide. All of the food is paid for in advance, so you don't have to worry about saving money when you move from place to place. I've been on other tours where you pay as you go, and found it held me back from trying things. There's also plenty of beer and the tuk-tuk rides are fantastic. This was a great event and one I keep thinking about now that I'm home.

What a brilliant way to see Chengdu at night. The food stops were amaxing, we went to places you would never find on your own. Our guide knew so much when it came to the origions of the food, local customs and stories of how food has developed through the ages. And to finish up in a local bar with views over the city. Amazing. Would absolutely recommend it.

Went on this tour to try to get a sense of some of the best flavors of Chengdu cuisine that we wouldn't find at a big name restaurant or hot pot place - this tour really succeeded to that end. Our guides were helpful, knowledgeable, informative, and great to hang out with. We really felt we got to both try things we wouldn't otherwise have tried secret dumpling restaurants and bars etc., and got a wide selection of cuisine in one evening that would otherwise have taken several meals. Really highly recommend.

it was an unexpectedly unbelievable, amazing experience. Two girls who did this tour for us were great. We were traveling in the center of the downtown in Chengdu on Tuk Tuk quite unstable but safe , we have visited 6 restaurants maybe 7- I don't remember exactly the number. The food that was presented to us was unbelievably tasty and unknown to us. We would never taste this food in any other restaurants overseas and would never find these restaurants by ourselves. If you have a spare evening to spend in Chengdu I would highly recommend to book this tour.
