At the end, you'll enjoy a delicious secret dish that will be revealed only on the day of the tour.

    We'll meet at Gino's East Pizzeria, 521 S Dearborn Street. The Harrison stop on the Red Line and the Harold Washington Library stop on the Brown, Purple, Pink or Orange Lines are the closest El stops.

    We end the tour across the street at Millennium Park.

What To Expect

Make your way to a centrally located meeting point, in time to meet up with your small group (or just your guide, if you've selected the private option).

Your first tasting is a classic Chicago deep-dish pizza, the source of many rivalries with New York. Learn what makes a Chicago deep-dish so special before heading over to another historic spot to taste the dipped Italian beef sandwich. Hear about the origins of this classic sandwich and its founding right here in Chicago.

As you go, you'll wander through the Loop—Chicago's Downtown area—and will see many of the city's iconic architectural landmarks, as well as its famous skyscrapers. Continue nibbling and tasting as you go.

Finally, end the tour in Millennium Park, where you can admire the beloved Cloud Gate sculpture and stay as long as you'd like.

Max was our tour guide. He was amazing. I learned so much history besides all the excellent food it was a wonderful suprise. Its my birthday weekend so we are always in the city in January the rest of our group was very fun we had a great time. Ask for Max he was very informative with a good sense of humor.

We love Sue! She is so passionate about Chicago, and aside from knowing the city’s history inside and out, she has an anecdote for all occasions. She also took us to some incredible places that we would never have thought to try ourselves. We learned a lot and left absolutely stuffed full of delicious food. Josh was a great guide. He even suggested other places to eat, see a show or just do while in town. The walking was nicely paced and if you are worried about the amount of walking it is very easy.

Fantastic Downtown Summer Outing

For our end of summer team outing, I chose a downtown Food Tour. I read a short description, but the actual tour was SOO much better!! We met our guide Justin at Gino's East and delicious food and fun started right away! Deep Dish Pizza... Yum!!!! Justin was Fabulous and couldn't have asked for a better guide!! He was welcoming, friendly, walked at a good pace (for a group of 12) and not only took us for tasty Chicago Cuisine, but included a historical tour of local Chicago sights and stories!! It was Great!! All in all we enjoyed our time in the city, Justin was Fabulous.... did I say that? LOL We had a Fantastic Day!!! YEAH!!!
