I had an excellent guide and was definitely full by the end. However, it was not my favorite food tour I’ve done. The first four stops are beverages, which wasn’t terrible because they were all great, but I wasn’t fully impressed with the food.

My wife and I had a great time on this tour, we got to see a lot of the craziness in the city. Come hungry as you get ALOT of food! We weren't a fan of a few things like the smoothie stop (it's milk based and not cold fyi so it tasted a bit funny). Coffee and tea experience was great. It's quite a bit longer than we expected which was nice as we felt we got our money's worth. Our tour guide Romesh was super friendly and seemed like such a good down to earth guy.

Great way to sample authentic food

This was a great way to try differnt local cuisine without worrying about upsetting your stomach! My guide was Kavithan who was great, gave me plenty of background and history on the different places we went and the dishes we tried. Portions are generous so come with an empty stomach! The only let down is the dessert as I thought we might try a couple of things but it turned out to only be a single yoghurt based treat that you can get from any local shop.

I really enjoyed all the tastes- Sri Lankan and Indian. It’s a nice way to see different neighbourhoods as well. Don’t eat beforehand you go, and don’t plan to eat after either!

A must do food tour in Colombo

I had a fabulous day with Kavithan. He was very kind and professional and knowledgeable and a great driver of the tuktuk. I enjoyed traditional Sri Lankan coffee, chicken and cheese ball, shrimp roti, fresh mango juice, buffalo cheese curds with honey, prawn vade, Three types of hoppers . A thin crepe crust cooked delicately into a crisp bowl shape. One filled with a fried egg, one plain and one with sweet coconut 🥥 pudding for dessert. Fillings were spicy potatoes onions mix and spicy bean mix . I rolled them up carefully and ate them like a burrito. Delicious but too full to finish . Sri Lankan tea , Here I had to eat with my fingers again. Pittu with cuttlefish, potato dahl , milk gravy, potato curry, on coconut sambol (a rice and flour rod made by cooking the rice and flour inside a bamboo stalk then pushing it through to get the round shape) and fried egg served on a banana leaf. I mixed it all together and ate with my fingers. It was delicious but messy and the cleanliness of this place was questionable at best. So much food!! Enjoyed every minute HIGHLY recommend. Come hungry. They provide water and all the food. Tip these guides generously as they are amazing

Fun and relaxed. Food was good and traveling via tuktuk was memorable. Our guide Paul was lovely. Was fun to do the tour with another couple sharing travel stories and enjoying the food together.

It was great to zip along in Colombo traffic in a tuk tuk. That by itself is an adventure lol. Several stops were made around the city showcasing hole in the wall stores, such as family owned coffee roasting business, tea houses, roadside juice shack, the places only locals frequent. Come hungry as portions are large. Highly recomnend for an intro to Sri Lankan street cuisine.
