We were fortunate to be the only 2 on this day trip of Dar es Salaam. Michael was so informative giving us incite into the history of the city and Nation. He added to our trip taking us to the Kariakoo Market, such a busy place. He went out of his way to assist us with bus and ferry tickets. All this and pick up and drop off at our hotel. Thank you Michael!!

My wife and I were pleased with our city tour of Dar es Salaam. Communication with Dove Adventure Tanzania prior to our cruise arrival was easy and effective. Our group was warmly received at the cruise port and comfortably taken around the city, visiting some of the most emblematic sights, such as the Fish Market, National Museum of Tanzania and Village Museum. Towards the end, it was nice to stop at The Slipway waterfront to enjoy a few drinks next to the beach. Thanks to our guide, Mike, for providing valuable information and taking good care of the group.

A no-brainer when you go to DES

First of all, yes, Dar Es Salaam is worth visiting, and is not just a place to go right after to Zanzibar or to the Serengeti NP. It has this wonderful tour given by Anna, who will bring you across several historical monuments in DES and will show you around the National Museum and the Village Museum! She will even buy you a bottle of water and be mindful about the fun you will have in this underrated city in Africa. 100% worth it!

Michael is an excellent guide. He was on time for our pick up and made sure we were comfortable. He’s also very accommodating to ensure we had a great day exploring Dar Es Salaam. If there’s is a point of interest on your list that isn’t included he will factor that in within reason. He’s very knowledgeable of Tanzania’s history. He helped make our day great! Lunch at the Waterfront was delicious. You will not be disappointed.

My family and I scheduled this excursion at the last minute. I am so glad we did. My driver Haroon and host Anastacia were wonderful. They were knowledgeable and very helpful. My group included 2 children, a 1 year old and a 6 year old. They assisted us by also helping with the children as if they were there own! This made such a difference and we were totally won over. Haroon and Anastacia your attention to detail makes both of you the best at customer service 5 stars!

The city tour was excellent! Godfrey was knowledgeable about everything from history to daily life in Dar es Salaam. It was just me on the tour and I appreciated his flexibility and ability to tailor the tour to my interests. I especially appreciated his insights at the Village Museum where he was able to describe the unique cultures of every tribe featured. This tour took place in September 2020 and I appreciated attention to COVID-19 pre-cautions. I would recommend this tour to anyone with a short amount of time in Dar es Salaam or a desire to visit specific places with a knowledgeable guide.

Arrivati a Dar Es Salaam prima di andare a Zanzibar e poi in giro per la Tanzania non pensavamo che questa città potesse rivelare angoli così belli che vale assolutamente la pena vedere. La cordialità e la generosità della guida hanno poi reso la visita ancora più gradevole. Consigliatissimo a chiunque voglia scoprire questa città .
