What To Expect

Make your own way to the first stop on your Downtown Denver food tour, Marco’s Coal Fired, to meet your foodie guide and small group.

Begin your walk around town and enjoy five tastings of delectable Denver eats over the course of three hours. In between tastings visit downtown hotspots including Coors Field, Mcgregor Square, the historic Dairy Block, and Union Station.

Your tour ends at Union Station where are free to explore or get directions from your guide to your destination of choice.

The sampling of delicious food is very nice, but I really enjoy learning tidbits about the dishes tried and how they relate to Denver. Full belly and full mind. Loved meeting and socializing with like minded individuals over food and drinks. Our tour guide self proclaimed himself as “Denver Dan” lived up to his moniker. He most certainly made the tour way way more enjoyable than it should be. Thank you Dan!

Barry was a very strong host. He had a lot of knowledge about Denver, and I learned a ton of history, even though I live locally. I also felt like Barry took us to his friend’s places, which made it feel personalized. Really, he took us to great local fare. It was a great time, and amazing food too!

We have recommended the Downtown Denver Food Tour and Viator to so many other travelers while on this trip! Because of the tour we found the best pizza of our lives and went back the next day for more. We had a full group on the tour and everyone had a blast! If you are a fun person, go on this tour. Our guide was Denver Dan and he quickly learned our names and likes. The cocktails before the tour gave just the right start. Warning: the cocktails at Marcos are strong. LOL

Our tour guide Rob was fantastic, as were each of the restaurants featured throughout this food tour! We are glad to have opted to try this food tour while in Denver! The flow of the tour was seamless, each of the featured restaurants had tables set aside for our group when we arrived. Rob provided background on the restaurants, foods and the LoDo area while walking and waiting for food. 10/10

It was a perfect spring day to hang out with friends and foodies on the Downtown Denver (Dolo) Food Tour with Barry. I learned how many seconds it takes to make true Neopolitan pizza. I saw some of the oldest remaining buildings from 1800's Denver and the newest award-winning restaurants in town. Believe me, it was invigorating to get outside and enjoy the city while exploring some of the best restaurants in town, with friends old and new. I am a senior, and Barry certainly thought of innovative ways to allow me to keep up the trek without slowing down our progress. Thanks Barry! you're the best!

Our tour guide was awesome. Rob was knowledgable, personable, and just fun. We visited five unique locations and stopped a few times while walking to each location for a story about the area. I liked that each location was very distinct from the last, so there was no overlap of flavors. This was a great way to get an introduction to the city. For this trip, it was just my husband and me; however, the next time we book, I will be including my two teenagers. They would have loved this tour.

Great tout. Great food. Great history. Julia was a great guide. Amazing flavors. She even accommodated my dairy and gluten allergies perfectly. I was worried about not being able to eat on a food tour, but Julia helped me feel comfortable and had options for me at every stop. Honestly, there were modifications for my allergies on every stop but i didn’t feel like a burden at all.

Absolutely 5 Stars. Barry was our guide and he is funny, professional, caring, and so knowledgeable about Denver. Our tour happened on a very cold Saturday!! He tried to have the majority of the tour inside but showed us lots of places and recommendations. The food was amazing. We truly enjoyed our tour.
