This was an amazing tour - even if it was hot enough to melt! Steven was a great guide - he was enthusiastic, never went too fast or slow, got everyone involved, and knew a lot about the forest and its flora and fauna. We saw monkeys, a tapir, a sloth, lots of birds, basilisks, and an anteater. Lunch at the end was delicious! I would definitely recommend this tour.

Same as every other tour, but cheaper. Great guide.
Ihor_S, May 2024
There is not much tours can introduce there to differ. Everyone eats the same food in the same place, boats are the same, start time is the same, start place is the same. So no need to pay more than the cheapest one. This one is the cheapest at this moment. Guides are good. Animals are plenty, more than in manuel antonio or cloud forests.
Regarding getting to the drake bay - you can drive just fine there. No water crossings, it has a bridge on every one of the crossings. Road is better than el tigre or arenal park perninsula road. Couple of pathholes, but you will be fine on 2x4. The only place you may need a 4x4 is to get out of the parking near the gathering point, but you can park out of the town and walk to the place if you are on 2x4. They have not much parking, but not many people go there by car, so you'll be fine. Road from pavement of 245 to the bay takes about an hour in the dark.
A must do trip, just come prepared

Very fun trip! Well worth it because they take care of everything, including park reservations for your visit. Pick up is at Rancho Corcavado Lodge, the road there is pretty rough and extremely foggy. Once you arrive, go down the very steep muddy road and find any available parking. Due to road closures, make sure to download offline maps to get there on time. Bring closed toe shoes and a reusable water bottle (not optional). Once at the national park, the views are amazing, the boat trip is gorgeous, the guide is knowledgeable and funny, and there are many animals to see. Please don’t skimp and tip the tour guides because they worked so hard to make our experience worthwhile!
Great Visit to Corcovado

The guide was very knowledgeable. We saw a variety of wildlife and plants, all of which explained well by the guide. Boat ride to and from the park was fairly smooth.

Fantastic guide, incredible location!

I also reviewed our tour on TripAdvisor… Not sure if those reviews show up on Viator. We loved it! It's not really a hike TO Sirena Station--you could do that fairly quickly. You spend your winding around the amazing rainforest trails around the station. This tour company & our guide (Jorge!!) were awesome. There's a lot of logistics involved (boat entrance/exit, shoes on & off (you can leave sandals on the beach), ranger checkpoint, lunch, etc) and Jorge was our hero the whole time. He was a terrific wildlife spotter as well: peccaries, 3 kinds of monkeys, a boa, crocodiles, a caiman, tapirs, many kinds of lizards, and more! Once in a lifetime experience for our family (kids ages 7-16). Do this tour!
Unforgettable

We had a fantastic day at Corcovado park. We did the full day with lunch at La Sirena. We saw loads of animals and we really appreciated our guide, his name is Brayner and we want to thank him for being so knowledgeable, passionate and nice! The boat ride to the park and back was very fast! Maybe a bit too fast for our likes
Great tour!

We had an amazing tour with William as our guide and saw so many animals - much more than in other parks. The boat ride was nice and the lunch at the station was good. Would definitely recommend.
A great way to experience Costa Rica's Wildlife!
Caitlin_L, Mar 2024
This tour was a great opportunity to see the wildlife of Costa Rica. We met at 5:45 am and boarded the boat promptly at 6 am. There was a 1-hour boat ride to the park entrance. After checking in at the park entrance the tour began, around roughly 7:30. We explored for about 3 hours, and saw many animals. Our tour guide was William and he was incredibly knowledgeable and highly skilled when it came to being "in tune" with the forest and every sound that occurred around him. Around 10:30 we ate a shockingly good lunch. Afterward, we continued to explore until about 12:30 and boarded the boat to return around 1. A few things to note. Do take a pair of sandals and a pair of comfortable shoes. You can leave your sandals at the entrance, you won't have to carry them the whole time. Also, take a reusable plastic bottle of water. NOT a disposable bottle. You can refill your water bottle at the park with the faucet by the restrooms, or, at the cafeteria area. And, finally, I am very, very, thankful that we signed up for the 6 am tour- for the sake of temperature. It makes for a really great day!
Magical

Ronald was an excellent guide. He spotted lots of animals, shared great information, and was an excellent photographer!
Awesome experience!

Amazing day! We saw so many animals. We don’t do a lot of hiking in general so we were a little nervous but it was totally doable (just hot). Make sure you have something to eat before entering the park, as no trail snacks are allowed. No plastic or plastic water bottles either, just metal water bottles. This tour is a must do if staying in the area. So beautiful and so many animals to see!
Good tour!
Charlotte_D, Feb 2024
It was a really good tour and we saw a lot of animals. Out tourguide told us a lot about the animals and also about the rest of the nature. It was also really nice to see how antoustiastic she was when we saw a yellow anteter, which is really rare to ser. The lunch was simple but fine and the bootride is around 1 hour.
Amazing

Amazing experience! Breyner, our guide, was amazing, knowledgeable and super nice. People here love mother nature (Pacha mama) and wants to protect it. The tour is respectful of the nature and the animals. We saw so many: tapir, spider monkey, coati, ….Wonderful!

The tour was amazing. Our tour guide Filipe was knowledgable and always spotted animals for us. We saw different animals. The hike is easy and flat. They did not allow us to bring plastic in the park but there were water source. The lunch was great. The boat tour was amazing.

great for families

Stephanie was our guide and she was wonderful! Not only was she very knowledgeable but she engaged very sweetly with our 6 year old son. The boat trip was beautiful, the lunch was tasty and we would recommend this trip for families.
Lots of animals seen!
Angenita_H, Jan 2024
Our guide Manuel was really keen on finding the animals for us! We were a group of 8 which was good. I didn’t like that we had to make so many stops with the boat the pick up other people, better pick one location and leave with everyone from there. We have seen lots of animals, de food was good and well organised, on the way back we saw dolphins and we stopped to watch them, that was awesome!
Zoo with no fences
Mike_S, Jan 2024
It’s like being in a zoo without cages. It’s the end of January, so there are cherry trees, mango and other fruit trees, beach almonds, all getting ripe, apparently drawing in more animals.
Toucans, macaus, turkeys and other birds are plentiful. We saw a tapir, plenty of fruit-eating monkeys like the squirrel monkeys and spider monkeys, peccaries, agouti, all in the Sirena Station area to take advantage. Howlers and anteaters and coati are common all the time.
Logistics: a one hour boat ride from Drake Bay. A beach landing at low tide on a slick, rocky beach. Flip-flops or bare feet are going to hurt at low tide. We brought a plastic bag with hiking shoes. Backpack inspection to take out all plastic bottles and food. There are bathrooms at the landing site.
On the day we were there, they were about 10 other groups of 8 to 10 people each. They scattered out on a small system of trails close to the landing site. It’s a little bit crowded, and you don’t walk long distances. Guides from one group tip off other guides of a good sighting. This is not a wilderness experience, but it worked surprisingly well. The birds and animals were plentiful and wild.
Our guide left that area after a few hours to visit less crowded trails past the Sirena Station. We got a good look at more rare animals – – fer-de-lance viper, silky anteater, sloth. All the groups had lunch at Serena station – – huge servings of simple but really good food, plenty of lemonade and water.
Elbert, our guide, did a terrific job, plenty of insider knowledge and solid background in zoology and botany.
Great experience
Carla_W, Jan 2024
Our guide Eric did an amazing job finding many animals. He was enthusiastic and energetic. We enjoyed it a lot. The walking was not exhausting. Kids and older people would be able to do it too. They serve good lunch and the trip includes a boat trip to the national park from Drake Bay.
