After morning hotel pickup in Dubai, travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s capital.

Pass the Jebel Ali Free Zone, one of the world’s biggest, and hear about Abu Dhabi’s growth after the discovery of oil in the 1950s. Hear how the city is now recasting itself as a tourist destination by building state-of-the-art leisure attractions.
 Take a tour of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, to admire the white marble courtyards and prayer rooms of this vast, modern masterpiece.

Then, head for Yas Island, the city’s entertainment epicenter, to view the exteriors of the Yas Marina F1 Circuit, home to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and Ferrari World theme park.

See the avant-garde cultural buildings rising from Saadiyat Island, and the Al Hosn Palace, once home to the emirate’s ruling family, before enjoying free time for lunch (own expense) at the Mall.

The guide was awesome, the trip not so much. We were looking for a more culturally immersive experience, the trip is more of a once over photo stop hopping here and there day trip. If your looking for great IG pics and don’t want to hear/see a lot about the countries history and customs it’s fine. Van was nice, (paid) lunch was good, overall a good day.

Long day but worth it to see the mosque

The pick up/ drop and drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi off did take 5-6 hrs. I would recommend having everyone meet at 1 location in marina bay and 1 location in business bay to make more convenient. Also, the only 2 notable things worth seeing were the mosque and the palace. It was worth the trip just to see the mosque.

poor tour experience

Our experience on the tour to Abu Dhabi was utterly disappointing. We were picked up from the hotel at 7:30 am, but wasted time visiting other hotels until 9:45 am before actually commencing the tour. The entire trip felt like a grueling ordeal, and although we returned to Dubai by 6 pm, the inefficiency of the tour operators resulted in us not reaching our hotel until 9 pm. It was an incredibly poor tour experience overall.
