This was such a fun experience! Our guides did a great job leading us through the hike and once we arrived to the fall it was literally breathtaking. It’s definitely a hike and there’s a good amount of climbing, so make sure to wear good covered shoes and be in good physical condition for it. But overall I highly recommend it and would go back again!

Anthony & Omar were amazing guides. Both were attentive and very knowledgeable. Felt very safe during excursion. I had the most amazing and fun time. Recommend this excursion!
Great experience and adventure for our family!

We had an amazing experience with John and Omar - they were so attentive to the kids and making sure they had fun while staying safe. The hike to the waterfalls was difficult but doable and the hike back was very easy. Highly recommend this tour for families. Our kids are 6 and 7 and loved it!
Highlight of the Trip

This excursion was the highlight of our trip! We had two wonderful guides, Pancho and Joel, who were very knowledgeable and friendly. Their easy confidence had us feeling extremely comfortable as we trekked through the rainforest (Pancho even went barefoot). The beginning of the walk was easy enough along a dirt path. As we went deeper it did get a little muddy due to the regular rain (there were a few slips in the mud) but there was a small path carved out the middle that you walked along. Right before you reached the waterfall there was a downhill path that required some balance but as long as you watch your step it was basically like stairs. At this point our group split in two. Some people stayed at the bottom of the waterfall, played in the water and watched people jump or swing into the water. The other half climbed up a rock scramble to make it to the rock slide. This part definitely required some strength and balance but wasn't too bad. The rock slide was really fun and comfortable to go down, despite it looking like everyone was getting bounced around. Then we did another short climb to get to the cliff jumping part. You could jump from 10, 15 or 20 feet. The scariest part here was standing at the top but the jump itself was exhilarating. At this point we were back in the main pool so you could choose to relax and watch others jump or go back to do the rope swing. Despite being told multiple times to leave all valuables in the car or with a friend at the bottom, I completely spaced out and wore my apple watch. I ended up losing it during either the jump or the swing and was devastated. Somehow, Joel was able to find it at the bottom of the pool and it was still working! Hero! There were many other groups at the waterfall but it didn't feel excessively crowded. All the guides seem to work together to make the experience fun and safe for everyone. I cannot thank Pancho and Joel enough for making our time in the rainforest unforgettable!
Challenging but fun!

This was a great experience. We had a party of four (two adults and two teens). They’re not kidding when they say wear sneakers. Also wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet and dirty. You will get covered in mud. The hike itself was more challenging than I expected but the guides helped through climbing areas that were tough. The teenagers had no problems. Don’t bring anything extra. They said to bring snacks etc but there’s really no time for that it’s moving the whole time.
Great experience!!

Anthony was one of the best tour guides I have ever experienced! He was friendly, extremely personable and so helpful. He made sure it was a personal experience for each one of us. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the rainforest habitat and in addition to having a marvelous time, my daughter and I learned so much. Thank you, Anthony for the memories!!! Francisco and Orlando were very kind. They provided a fun experience. El Yunque is beautiful. Francisco also took pictures and videos of the adventure!! Water slide was so cool. I have nothing bad to say. There is some hiking/climbing involved so be mindful when booking that you will get a little active.

Awesome Experience with Great Guides
Adriana_C, Apr 2024
I booked this guided adventure through El Yunque for me and my family including two kids (14 yo & 10 yo). We met our guide in a parking lot with a few other tour groups. The meet up was a bit confusing and got us a little worried. However our initial guide made sure his group stuck with him. Once we got to the start of the rainforest, they gave us a few minutes to use the bathroom and get our belongings squared away. First off, they aren’t joking when they say you will be soaking wet. So if you’re wearing sneakers, just make sure you are ok with them getting soaked. If not, I suggest buying some water shoes with a solid bottom to them. Our guides Orlando and John were amazing. They kept the group together, pointed out a few cool things and got us to the natural water slides easily. The hike there isn’t particularly challenging but it’s muddy and can be slippery. Same with some of the rocks. Orlando and John took everyone’s cell phones at each water slide and one of them positioned themselves to get video and photos of each family going down the two slides and jumping off the cliff and the rope swing. They got so many great pictures and videos of us that I really can’t thank them enough for. This guided adventure tour is well worth it and a really great time for people of any age that are ok with some light hiking.
A must do experience!

Our favorite thing in Puerto Rico
jenny_B, Apr 2024
Amazing experience! Our favorite thing we did in Puerto Rico and we did a lot. Anthony and Omar were the best guides there. They helped and made us feel confident with our entire group. This hike is not to be missed. Waterfalls and cliff jumps and rope swing were incredible. A jam packed day hike that was very doable even for my youngest. Thank you again Anthony and Omar for sharing your beautiful island with us!
Awesome tour!
