The guide gave us breaks with information. That was really interesting. The views are amazing. Basically even, not much up or down.

Descriptions of the flora and uses. Would have liked a more clear understanding of where the hike was located and where free parking could be obtained including the location of the path from the free parking to the terminal.

Helen (our guide) was very knowledgable about the Milford area and we learnt a lot about the flora and fauna in Milford sound, the hike was leisurely and serene. Would recommend

Its was raining heavily that day...
KokChuan_L, Mar 2018
Its was raining heavily that day, the tour guide should have call off the hike because the rain that give rise to rapids waterfall and gushing waters stream along the hiking route. It is life-threatening conditions hike because of the rain conditions, why the guide did not call it off I did not know? The tour details did not specific need hiking shoes and water proof jacket and operate in all weather conditions when I booked the tour weeks ago. But they change it on the website when I re-visited today. Any way, it is important to consider the life risking hiking conditions caused to hikers during raining conditions!

TOUR OPERATOR COMMENT: Thank you for your feedback. Please be aware, the safety of our guests is out top priority. This was a very wet day but there were no safety concerns, and the conditions were definitely not life-threatening. We will be reviewing our information on Viator, to ensure clients are more prepared for the conditions in the future. However, please note we do operate the walk in the rain as Milford Sound is one of the wettest places in the world - its what gives us the incredible greens and lush vegetation.
