The main car park at Milford Sound costs $25 for 5hrs. Payment can be made at payment stations on site. This Car park area is approximately a 10 minute walk to the Milford Sound Visitor Terminal building.
Free car park is available on the corner of Milford Road and Deepwater basin, the walk from here to the Milford Sound Visitor Terminal building will take approximately 40min.
Disability Parking can be found outside the main Milford Sound Visitor Terminal and is wheelchair accessible.
Office hours for bookings assistance: 8am to 8pm

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

We have cruised Milford Sound 3 different times in different size ships. This is by far the best experience we have had. We had 3 generations on this trip and everyone had a fantastic time and loved the up close experiences. I would recommend this excursion if you go to Milford Sound.

More expensive cruise, with less people. It makes a difference!

With 24 hour cancellation, we booked a few cruises on different days in the event of inclement weather. I think I saw it rains at Milford Sound ~ 200 days/year. Our cruise wasn’t full, so there was lots of opportunity to move around the boat throughout the ride. It seems like this tour is more expensive than other options at the port, but having considerably less people onboard (that what we saw enter on other boats), really made a difference. Also, full disclosure, once you reach Milford Sound, the only thing to do, apart from enjoying the beautiful drive there, is go for a cruise or small hikes. The cruise really is a must if you’re heading all the way down to the Sound.

Great cruise! Loved that it was a smaller boat so it did not feel crowded at all. Loved the education about Milford Sound while cruising, as well as the complimentary cookies and tea/coffee!

Had an awesome time in the Cruise today. Wish we could have seen a few more wildlife. But the whole experience was surreal. Getting wet under the waterfall was another highlight of our cruise trip. All in all it was a fun day.

Rain filled Fjords

Like being in Norway's fjords in the rain. Massive and many waterfalls. Beautiful , even in the rain. Worth the experience to see the fjords and experience the awesome vastness Only wish was that it could have been a bright sunny day, but no regrets. The drive is a little longer then expected and worst in the rain.

This cruise was on a smaller boat than all the other around so it was less crowded and allowed us to get even closer to all the waterfalls and seals that we saw on the way. The captain was funny and very informative! I would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone.

The best thing we did in New Zealand. It’s not worth coming all the way to New Zealand and not doing this cruise! Amazing. The smaller boat was nice and it allowed us to get right up to the waterfalls. Beautiful.

Awesome way to view and learn about Milford Sound! Don't let a rainy forecast deter you. The water falls were magnificent. Floating through the fiord we saw the majestic Mother Nature at her best! Great tour for all ages!

Had a great time. Make sure that you have something to keep you dry and warm if you want to stand at the front of the boat. Boat operator was very knowledgeable and had great control of the boat. Was great as there was not a lot of people on the boat so you could all get a good place to view everything.
