What To Expect

Find your way to the Bargello Museum and exchange your voucher for an entrance ticket that includes skip-the-line access. Breeze past the often-long entry lines and enter the courtyard, where you can begin your self-guided exploration of the museum. The Bargello Palace was originally built in 1255 as a symbol of the people's victory over the Florentine nobility.

The ground floor features masterpieces sculpted by Michelangelo, Giambologna and Cellini. Continue to the first floor to see the Council Hall, or Salone del Consiglio, which is constructed with high ceilings and once served as a tribunal hall when the palace was used for procedures in the people's government. The room now holds some of Donatello's finest works; continue to the Ivory Room to admire the 265 pieces of the Carrand collection, including reliquaries, ceramics and diptychs dated from the 400s to the 1600s.

Proceed to the second floor to peruse a collection of terracotta objects, including the impressive Busto di fanciullo (Baby's bust) by Andrea della Robbia. Admire the collection of medieval weapons and ivories in the Sala delle Armi and an exhibition of Italian Renaissance bronzes and medals.

You are free to explore the museum at your own pace; your entry ticket is good anytime during the museum's opening hours.

      Great Time

No crowds. Even in the heat. So much to see from all different art periods. You could get up close to the statues and exhibits. Nice room museum.
      Amazing

Beautiful museum. Glad I saw it. This was a self guided tour. The works here are amazing. Not crowded at all
      Useless

Very memorable. No redeemable voucher received until we had turned up at the museum and had our booking turned down so we had to pay again. When I reported this I was told that I should have contacted them and they would have sent me my voucher. No refund. No complaints though, we did whjat we wanted and will never use this service again.

Your vouchers were uploaded to your VIATOR app and if you were unable to download them, we would have sent them back to you if you asked for them, but you didn't tell us anything. It was therefore not possible to help you because you did not ask us for help. Meanwhile your vouchers are still on the VIATOR app, please check

Unique Museum in old prison. Amazing sculptures and coat of arms display throughout. Would do again!
      Massively disappointing!
      Margaret_B, Jul 2023
It was not memorable because your system malfunctioned and I did not receive a confirmation for my husband and I to be able to connect with a tour guide. Your app also did not function with regards to this booking. My requests for a refund have been refused so I am left with a really bad impression of how Viator does business. I am a business person myself and would never treat my customers this way. I will never recommend Viator to others and will not use your services again anywhere.
      Worth seeing

Amazing sculptures. History’s great names right in front of you! The location is right in the city center with easy access.

Minimal line anyway at the early time, but since we had other reservations later in the morning, helpful to have peace of mind to enter the Bargello.
      Excellent museum

So great to not have to wait in line. This was a wonderful sculpture museum and in a very nice building with a large open courtyard that was very relaxing. Highly recommend.

There was no line. My assigned time was 45 minutes before closing. The museum staff were surly and brusque. The building and the sculptures are wonderful. Worth any ineptitude in the approach..
no tickets - lousy customer service

      Amazing Museum

This museum is my favorite of all time. Just the building itself is worth the visit. And the sculpture and other artifacts are very diverse and interesting. It is a nice change from all the 2 dimensional art you see at the other museum in Florence.
There was no line and I paid twice...
      Kathleen O, Jun 2017
There was no line and I paid twice as much as I would have at the door. I paid approximately 15 for an 8 fee. Definitely not worth it.
      exzellent!
