What To Expect

After leaving central Florence by air-conditioned coach, journey into the beautiful Tuscan countryside with your guide. Travel past the olive groves, vineyards, and rolling hills of the "Via Chiantigiana," a scenic route through the picturesque Chianti.

Stop for the visit to a cozy organic production winery, where the owner guides you through local wine making secrets, and where you sample the house vino and local food products.

After 2–3 hours at the winery, continue along the "Via Chiantigiana,” admiring the views of the Tuscan rolling hills, to a family-run winery in the Sienese Chianti Classico area. Walk through the vineyard with the winemaker, tour the cellars and aromatic garden, and taste at least four different wines and unique local food products—you can also purchase some to take home.

Travel along the Chianti Road back to Florence, where you’re dropped off at Piazzale Montelungo.

We recommend to wear comfortable shoes. Wineries are usually located on the top of the hill and you start the visit with a short walk along the slope through vineyards.
For small groups, up to 8 pax, the Tour escort service could be replaced with an English speaking driver-guide service, while maintaining unchanged the entire program of the excursion.
It is mandatory to arrive at the meeting point at the mentioned check in time. In case of delay it will not be possible to join the tour, nor to have a refund or reschedule the tour.
We would like to inform you that in the Chianti region, there are certain areas where the internet connection is unfortunately limited or even unavailable. Therefore, even though we offer Wi-Fi on our buses, please be aware that it may not function properly in these specific areas.

Great Chianti tour

Great Chianti wine region tour from Florence. 1 hour charter bus ride from the city and you’re at the first winery. Small winery compared to the 2nd stop. We sampled 3 wines which were paired with some meats/cheeses. Felt a little rushed here as we only had 15 minutes to explore after the tasting. Didn’t provide enough details on their wine making process. The second winery was incredible! We tasted 3 different wines, also had snacks. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Property was beautiful. Overall I’d recommend this tour for a half day trip. The views are incredible as well. Sarah was a great guide!

I went with my 20 yo son. Great experience. Valeska, our tour guide was so wonderful! She was Informative, kind and fun to talk with. We had a great group! It was a great way to end our time in Florence. I originally wanted to do the San Giamanano and Siena 11+ hour tour earlier in the week, but it was cancelled. As much as I REALLY wanted to go back and see San Giamanano and Siena again, and share with my family, I did not want to do such a long tour the day before I left, and was glad they had this shorter tour. If not alot of time, but want to have a wine tour, this is a great option!!

Excellent tour with lots of wine to sample 🤪

Great tour stopping a 2 vineyards. Sampled a selection of great wines and olive oils (natural, truffle & chilli). As a non meat eater I did not try the cured meat (salami) but my wife said it was excellent. The highlight of the trip was our host at the 2nd vineyard stop (named - Poggio ai Laghi), he was very charismatic and had our entire group laughing and joining in. The aged balsamic we tasted here was amazing, I'll never look at supermarket Balsamic vinegar in the same light ever again. The drinking starts straight away so if you book a morning tour be prepared to have wine for breakfast. Overall excellent value and a great 1/2 day out.

Horrible experience! I booked for 4 people and when we got there they said they had space for only 3 ( as if it was so simple to leave one member of my family behind). It’s been 5 days and I still haven’t get a refound or a word from them! So unprofessional and irresponsible

Relaxing and simple tour

The tour was very nice! Our guide Frederico was very personable and check in was easy. We were surprised to see a total of 3 small children on the trip. The first winery was okay, but we absolutely loved the second one. They gave generous pours and provided their homemade cheese, olive oil and aged balsamic. The staff was much more personable and setting was beautiful. We went into it thinking that wine would be served on the bus, but it was not. We decided to buy a bottle at the second location and had a glass there. We finished the rest of it on the hour bus ride back. I would do it again but now am more aware of what to expect.

4/5 hours spent on the bus

Long conversation less bus ride both ways. Guide could have talked about the history or the city, the wine, the country.. anything. The first winery was super theatrical and almost borderline embarrassing presentation. Glasses were not switched out for each wine, and no water was provided to cleanse the palate. Second winery was great, presentation was wonderful, and so were the snacks.

Tour was nice. Guide provided us with the history of Chianti which was nice. 1st vineyard was pretty but underwhelming. 2nd vineyard was much better. The gentleman was very passionate and gave us a lot of info on the history of olive oil as well as the wine.

Long ride. Walking up the steep hill to get to the winery was not pleasant at all. Tasting was ok but they should had a variety of tasting such as sweet to dry… Host and staff were nice but I wouldn’t recommend especially if you have health or mobility issues
