What To Expect

Your tour begins in central Florence, where you join up with your guide. Walk to a Florentine food market and peruse the stalls, each teeming with the region’s freshest ingredients, including cured meats, olives, cheeses, balsamic vinegar, sun-dried tomatoes, and other Tuscan delicacies. Select some of these high-quality ingredients for your cooking class later in the afternoon and enjoy tastings of the food and wine.

Climb aboard a minibus and journey into the Tuscan hills and drive to a rustic farmhouse. Under the guidance of an expert chef, prepare a full Tuscan meal. Discover the culinary secrets behind Tuscan cuisine, from slow-cooked meat sauces to whipping up Italian pasta from scratch. Everything you make is seasonal but the menu may include roast pork, bruschetta, and tiramisu.

Finally, reward yourself with your 4-course meal. Complement your delicious food with Tuscan wine and good conversation. Return to central Florence and receive all the recipes by email so you can impress family and friends back at home with your Italian dishes.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Best time ever! Lucca and company were awesome. From beginning to end, it was an awesome experience. I didn’t know what to expect from the market portion of the day, but that part was educational and entertaining. The cooking portion of the class was fun and educational too. The dishes we made were delicious. Lots of yummy food. Lucca and Carmela were hilarious, helpful and great teachers with helpful info. Loved the day we spent on this excursion. I HIGHLY recommend it.

My husband and I booked this tour last minute and no regrets there. Wish we had done it sooner! Gloria was amazing! She remembers everyone’s names and funny. Gloria and Carmella made this an unforgettable experience. We definitely want to try a different tour with Gloria when we come back. The farmhouse by the countryside looked like something out of a cooking show. We had a blast learning the recipes!

This was the most fun way I could’ve spent the afternoon. Our instructors Luca and Lucia were wonderful! Luca couldn’t have been more entertaining and both of them were patient kind teachers taking time to help each one of us. The property was simply gorgeous with lovely views. Would recommend to anyone looking for a memorable experience. Luca we love you!

This was so fun! The tour of the central market was great, our guide Luca gave us lots of recommendations and we went back the next day for shopping. Luca was super entertaining and we had lots of laughs. The food we cooked was fantastic, and the location of the class was beautiful. The only thing I didn’t love was that we all shared the cooking and eating, so you weren’t eating the exact pasta you made, but otherwise it was perfect.

What an amazing experience. Gloria was an incredible guide and was very informative and entertaining throughout the whole day. It felt like an authentic Italian experience, starting the day at the central market gathering the ingredients and then preparing the ingredients with an Italian Nonna as your chef. Carmella was full of energy and guided us through making different Italian dishes (with Gloria translating). The end product was bellisimo and I will be trying to recreate these dishes at home. Mangia! Mangia!

My parents had come to this cooking class years ago and told us how much they enjoyed it and it did not disappoint! Gloria and Carmela provided a perfect taste of shopping at the market and getting your hands dirty with a little Italian cooking. The views for the class are spectacular and make for a great ambiance.

Absolutely unforgettable experience with Gloria and Carmen. Perfectly paced, gorgeous setting and lively class. I learned a lot from the market tour and class. Highly recommend for people with varying cooking level / skills. I had my 17 year old god daughter with me and she said it was her favorite day on our vacation.
