What To Expect

Meet just steps from the Accademia Gallery to kick off your day in Florence with a guided tour of the museum, including time to marvel at Michelangelo’s iconic “David”. Zip past the crowds with skip-the-line tickets and spend about an hour learning about the collection’s highlights before moving on to a city walking tour.

Stroll past the Duomo, pausing to admire its colorful facade and neighboring bell tower and baptistery, and then through Piazza della Signoria while delving into Florentine history and architecture with your guide’s commentary along the way.

Little too long / detailed

Tour was ok but probably a little long with a lot of time spent at Uffizi analyzing multiple art works. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and informative but the tour was perhaps better suited to an art student rather than the average tourist looking for highlights. In addition we spend about 30 mins waiting in line to get into the Uffizi which doesn’t really seem like a skip the line tour.

The information provided by the guide was excellent and I learned a great deal about the period art and how it evolved. Somewhat disappointed that more of the Accademia was not included. The presence of a guide was most beneficial, as the crowds can be overwhelming.
Amazing tour

We only had one day in Florence and booked this so we could see both galleries and get a bit of context about the art and location etc. I took a moment to consider the cost since I am a single parent on a budget, but honestly it was totally worth it. The tour guide, Rosa, was an absolute delight, super funny, and knowledgeable. My son, who is not big into art, said "she made the paintings come alive" - there is really not better praise than this! Highly recommended.

Our guide was Rosa, who was very knowledgeable. However, that's where the compliments end. Too much time spent sitting while she told stories at Academia. Then we were rushed out with no time for a bathroom break. The slowest walk ever up to Uffizi, but first we stopped somewhere where she had coffee and we were told we could use the facilities. Again at Uffiizi, sitting and long stories. We left the group and saw the museum on our own. Very disappointed.

Our tour almost got off to a bad start when the meeting location seemed to send us to the wrong place, but we were grateful that the tour organisers waited for us so we didn't miss out on seeing the statue of David at the Accademia. (Was a pity that a tour inside the Duomo Cathedral wasn't included, but we got some history during the walk-by. The Ufffizi Gallery was a bit like the Vatican, glad to see great masters (like Birth of Venus), but with thousands of words of art it became overwhelming. We appreciated the flexibility of the guide ending the tour but waiting if people wanted further explanations. We would have liked a short cut to the exit, but had to go through dozens more rooms to find it!

Rosa was an excellent tour guide throughout the experience. She did a great job highlighting significant artwork within the galleries and was incredibly knowledgeable. She invited all of us to join her for lunch at the end of the tour and provided insight into places to visit in other areas of Italy we were visiting on our trip. Rosa was a wonderful guide. So knowledgeable and fun. We learned so much. Especially loved her in-depth appreciation for Michelangelo. Our only issue was the microphone and earphone system they use. A lot of interference and static so we missed a lot of Rosa’s wonderful commentary.

Audio system was AWFUL

I kept telling the guide/organizers the noise was scratchy. They kept trying to give me new whispers, but that wasn't the problem. All in the group agreed her voice was static-y. I figured out the mic was too loud. she wouldn't take the time to adjust it correctly, or turn the output down. Every time she turned her head or exhaled, it was blowing out my eardrums. I almost quit for the Uffizi tour to go on my own, but they were able to improve the intensity of the static. Only when she exhaled did it bother me.

This tour was so great. It was nice to get a little extra history as we walked from the academia to the uffizi. The tour guide was amazing and friendly and made the tour extra special. I’m ashamed to admit that I don’t remember her name. I’m hoping the company will respond with it so she can have the credit she deserves. You have extra time after the tour to spend in the uffizi which was nice!

Not Worth it

Unfortunately the tour wasn't good for us. Our guide was so slow and took lots of breaks we understand it can be tiring but it is stated that it will be a 4 hours tour you should come prepared. Also when it is a tour of two most important galleries of the city we expect it to be fulfilling, not slow and just a tiny bit information. By just simple googling we found way more information then she told us during the tour.

Dear Dijan, We would like to mention we did a thorough investigation with the guide in question and we would like to mention these points. 1. The stopping at the points of interest are part of the tour as they are part of the tour itinerary and stopping in front of the points is not giving breaks, it's called explaining. (The name of the tour is Uffizi and Accademia hidden highlights tour which includes an hour of city walking tour.) 2. According to the tour guide, when the tour group reached the Uffizi, the travellers in the tour group including your wife asked for the break for 5 minutes then only the tour guide gave the tour group 5 minutes break in the Uffizi. 3. There are 110 rooms in Uffizi and we don't have enough time to cover everything in Uffizi since we have 4 hours and our tour guides are given selected masterpieces to explain to get the best of the limited time our clients have and for the rest sure go ahead and google so you would have the facts. We are sorry to say but the tour guide in question had received 5 star reviews from the same tour group. We had tailored the experience for all the guests who book this tour if any guest need more than the tour itinerary we will recommend booking the private tour so that the guide can adjust the itinerary and make it fit to you.
