What To Expect

Make your own way to the centrally located office to meet your professional chef-guide before your afternoon or evening tour starts. 

Transfer by minibus to a private estate situated in the hills above Florence. Start your culinary experience with a tasting of a traditional focaccia appetizer accompanied by a glass of Chianti wine. Soak in views of the rolling hills as your instructor shares the backstory of Italy's famous foods: pizza and gelato.

Next your chef-instructor shows you how to make pasta or pizza dough, and explains regional variations. For pasta makers, roll up your sleeves and get to work creating three types of fresh pasta from scratch, and recreate iconic sauces including Pesto, Carbonara, Amatriciana and Cacio e Pepe. For pizza makers, after preparing the dough, select the topping ingredients that you like from the assortment of fresh vegetables harvested from the estate gardens. Your pizza is then baked traditional-style in the wood oven. When ready, sit down to enjoy your pizza accompanied by wine or beer.

For dessert, learn to make a creamy gelato that can be accompanied by toppings and sauces. Your instructor provides recipes for the pizza and gelato so that you can make them at home.

Your culinary experience ends with a return trip to your starting point in Florence.

We were in Italy for two weeks, and the Pizza and Gelato class was one of our favorite highlights, for sure!! The venue was beautiful, the instruction and the food were amazing, and Max and Luca were an absolute riot!!! They were very knowledgeable and excellent teachers, but also incredibly entertaining! We highly, highly recommend this tour to anyone who has the chance to go. You will have a blast!!!

Between laugh, the breathtaking views and a family ambience they show how to make an authentic pizza and gelato. Definitely this was the highlight of our stay in Florence. Thank you!!!

This was a wonderul experience, led by three lovely people who put us at our ease, entertained us and we're so very welcoming. Gloria, Arla and Tiziano demonstrated pizza and gelato making whilst making us laugh, helping us to make the best pizza and gelato by ourselves and all of this was done in a beautiful setting overlooking the outskirts of Florence. From the minute we met the young lady who led us to our transport, to the end of the five hours, we felt that this was a highlight of our stay in Florence. This is something we will never forget! Thank you for making us all feel very special.

The staff was so fun! Lavinia, Thomas, and Alla (?) were great fun as they taught us how to make gelato and pizza dough. The setting was beautiful and it was fun to talk to other students, too.

This was such a fun class, and the most romantic date me and my husband have ever been on considering the view of the place! It was a beautiful day and the staff was amazing, kind, and funny! Thomas and Tiziano were so knowledgeable about pizza making and gave a ton of great tips and advice for when we try to make pizza again at home, and Angela had some AMAZING suggestions for gelato pairings. Everything turned out awesome and we had a great time.

Great view from location partly overlooking Florence. Learnt the difference between ice cream and gelato. Made a great pizza learning all the importance of balance of ingredient's needed. Tasted amazing in the end, highly recommend.

Gloria, Taziano and Thomas were amazing. Gloria made us understand the balance of the ingredients of gelato. We learned and enjoyed making the gelato. Taziano and Thomas were also great on providing importance of rest with the dough. Overall, we enjoyed it. My wife and I recommend the experience.

This was truly a trip highlight. The setting was gorgeous and the chefs were friendly and fun and clearly knew their stuff. The pizzas and gelato all came out delicious and we were able to do a lot of the hands-on work ourselves. We all had a great time!

The cooking class itself was awesome, and we loved our chefs/hosts. We learned a lot and had a fun! However, I do wish there was an adults only class, especially as the night option (or at the very least, an age minimum). We were literally pushed around by kids multiple times throughout the night and our chefs frequently had to stop to repeat themselves or get the group’s attention since so many were distracted. I’m still glad we did the class and I recommend it to others, but just have this small suggestion as an option for people traveling without kids! Thanks for a great night!!

It was an absolute blast! Such a good time for the whole family. At first we were unsure about spending 5 hours with 25 other strangers in a cooking class, but the staff Arla, Titziano, and Gloria did such a great job making the time fly by with jokes and great instructions. The cooking was not too difficult but still kept everyone engaged. Our 15 year-old nephew had a smile on his face the whole time. We really enjoyed this experience and couldn’t recommend it enough. Of course, the gorgeous views from the hilltop also helped.
