    A great introduction to Florence

    Loved how our enthusiastic guide presented the history and mystery of Florence... including how Florence was first built, expanded over the years and the existing connectedness of the city. We were presented with many well-known famous places and fascinating stories not to be missed. We visited hidden and quiet streets off the beaten path. Our guide, a native of Florence, was well spoken and knowledgeable. The tour provided a delightful way to listen and learn. It was a great introduction to a very fascinating and walkable city. Just the right length of time, attention to detail, and well paced.

    Our walking tour of Florence provided an interesting perspective and wonderful history of the city that we would have never found on our own. Manuel, our tour guide, was a great tour guide. Incredibly knowledgeable and delightfully enthusiastic, he helped bring the city to life. Whether talking about the floods that hit the City in 1966. Or, explaining the deep economic, societal and political importance of corners, we came away with a much deeper understanding and an expanded passion for Florence. We found the number of towers and how they had all been cut down over the centuries especially intriguing. While visiting all of the major sites, Manuel also showed us many of the secret outdoor "churches" around the city. A delightful experience for sure.

    The knowledge of why, concerning the buildings, facades and layout of Florence, displayed by our guide was excellent. Insight into history was also enlightning and excellent.
    If you are looking for a more private tour this is the tour to take.

    Unbeknownst to me this was a very small group tour, typically 6 people max. The price of this walking tour was a little higher, however you pay for what you get. It turned out to be a private tour for my niece and myself as a family of 3 missed their train and had to cancel. Our guide Simone was very knowledgeable and informative. It was a hot day and she was good about finding shade when she was talking. Overall, we enjoyed out time with her. If you are looking for a more private walking tour this is the tour to take.

    The Florence Walking Tour was amazing. We saw so much in relatively little time and the guide was super efficient and incredibly knowledgable in taking us around Florence. We had a great time and would highly recommend this to anyone! We also added on a private tour of the Uffizi Gallery which was spectacular!

    What an enlightening tour with Manuel! He was the best guide we had during our two-week European vacation. We had a 2 hour small group walking tour of Florence, which worked perfectly for our family of 11. We learned so much about the history of Florence, architecture, the Renaissance, and more. So glad we did this at the beginning of our stay in Florence - it made everything we did more meaningful. Manuel was so knowledgeable and a fantastic storyteller, holding our interest the entire time (ages 10-75!). He took care to keep us in the shade on a hot day, which was greatly appreciated. Excellent tour!!!

    This tour was simply fantastic! I wish we had thought to write down our tour guide's name because he was a wonderful storyteller. Our tour took us throughout many of the squares in Florence and our guide told us all about the Medici family and their influence on the city of Florence. His knowledge of the history of each site and his ability to weave them all together into a cohesive, captivating story was simply amazing, even for those who may not be history buffs. This was a fairly long tour, but I was never bored or disinterested. Our guide kept us engaged the whole time. He also pointed out things of interest that, while not part of the tour, would be good to investigate further on our own. This was one of our favorite tours on our three-week trip through Italy and Greece. I would highly recommend!

    Our tour guide Manuel was fantastic! This is a great tour as an introduction to Florence. I would recommend this tour to be the first thing you do when you get to Florence as it teaches you how to admire the architecture in the history that is embedded within the city. Manuel is also great at giving local recommendations for things to see, places to eat, etc..

    Excellent tour! This was a small tour with 4 people and well worth the extra cost. Most other tours are 50 plus people. We passed a lot of them! Our guide was born in Florence and full of wonderful history and heritage. We learned some really neat things about the streets, towers, palaces, basilicas, churches, families, money and art. It was the best way to start our stay in Florence. Thank you gionni.
