  • Giotto's Bell Tower will be closed from the 13th to the 17th of November
  • The Baptistery of St John will be closed from the 20th to the 24th of November

Sandro’s explication of Michelangelo’s Nicodemus was an art history class in itself. And it was obvious that Sandro, steeped in art history was prepared to answer our questions, some of which were quite arcane.

The cupola, Baptistry, and museum are, in and of themselves, stunning and worth every Euro. What made them even more spectacular however, was the context and history provided by our guide, Eva. Her vast knowledge of the history of the region coupled with her commentary on the symbolism behind the art made this less of a tour and more of an experience. I highly recommend booking a private tour with Accord.
Guide didn't meet expectations

Our guide did not add much to our experience. She had a lot of info to share, but it was recited rote, and her accent was extremely difficult to understand - Eastern European? I love history, art, culture... but I was bored by her presentation.

A terrific experience with this tour. Skip-the-line is the only way to go in Florence during such a busy tourist time. Our guide was informative, personable, and entertaining. The Duomo museum we visited was the highlight. The Duomo itself is definitely a more impressive sight from the outside. We loved it!

The Duomo and Baptistry were stunning. However our guide struggles a bit with English and compared to other tour guides we’ve had she was lacking in knowledge and her ability to help us understand what we were seeing. She seemed flustered when she picked us up and quite distracted throughout the tour.

While ascending all 463 narrow steps was no easy feat, our guide provided valuable insights into the history and uniqueness of the building. Despite the stunning views from the roof, we couldn't help but wish for some fun facts or anecdotes from our guide to further enhance the experience.

Our private tour couldn't have been more enjoyable. Rossella was very knowledgeable, professional & engaging. One of the best tours we've ever had. Definitely request her as your guide. Word to the wise, be prepared for many many steps up to the dome.
