What To Expect

Board your coach in Florence, and travel into the hills of Tuscany where the city of Siena awaits. Opt to take a guided tour of the city with a visit to Siena Cathedral to admire its renowned Gothic architecture. Or, make the most of some free time to set your own pace, and perhaps enjoy a coffee in the sun alongside the locals.

From Siena, return to the Tuscan countryside to explore the Chianti wine region. Stretch your legs with a stroll through a vineyard, olive grove and wine cellar, and refuel with a Tuscan winery lunch. As you sit surrounded by the grape vines, meet other visitors to the area and indulge in local treats such as cold cuts of meat, salad, pasta and fresh bread. Even better, a wine tasting takes place at the same time (not included in the tour option without lunch, guests will instead spend more time in San Gimignano)'

After lunch, journey onward to San Gimignano with its medieval towers, cobbled streets and squares. Explore the town’s historic center, cool down with a refreshing gelato and wander amid the 14 towers as you learn about their history.

Travel from San Gimignano to Pisa: your final stop of the day. Follow your guide to Cathedral Square to discover Pisa Duomo, Pisa Baptistry, the monumental cemetery (aka Camposanto) and, of course, the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Return to Florence in the early evening, and finish your Tuscany tour with a drop-off at the start point.

Highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Lavinia was wonderful, she kept us informed and entertained for 12 hours! She was truly personable, and you could tell she enjoyed what she did. The tour was a ton of fun, be prepared for some walking but each town you visit is so different in history and character that alone we would never have been able to learn or discover. The wine/lunch add on is 100% worth it, we left with 6 bottles of wine and the food was delicious. The farm is such an extraordinary and beautiful place. We also did the Pisa tower add on, the climb is doable and the view from the top is really something. We watched the sunset from the top and it was very memorable.

Wonderful tour!
Tracy_G, Apr 2024
We loved this tour, booked it last minute and that proved to be a good choice. Our guide Manolo was superb, informative and helpful. The guide in Siena I think her name was something like AnnMarie or Mariann. She was full of local information and had a great sense of humour. I would highly recommend this tour.👍
Great day in Tuscany

My family & I took this tour and we weren’t disappointed. Naomi was an amazing tour guide & extremely knowledgeable! She made the day so much fun and had a great sense of humor with my oldest son making her laugh lol. If you get a chance to book this, you can’t go wrong with having Naomi as your guide!!!!

We did a lot in one day. Our tour guide, Emma, was the best. All activities on time, the historic stories interesting and lunch was amazing. Definitely recommend this trip.
Terrific Tuscany Outing
Barbara_W, Apr 2024
The lunch and wine tasting was outstanding- the surroundings were beautiful. We really enjoyed walking through Siena and San Gimignano was also nice. It was a long day but we also were glad that Pisa was included and we were able to see the leaning tower. Our guides Claudia and Claudia in Siena were friendly and gave us great information. our bus driver was terrific as well and was a pro navigating the bus.
An absolutely awesome experience.
ajamkamal, Apr 2024
Our guide, Alessandro from walkabout tours was awesome. He was very engaging and very accommodating for everyone’s needs. Everything started and ended on time. The guide in Sienna, Serena, was also very knowledgeable and pleasant. The lunch at the farm was very good. The distance we covered and the experiences we had was something we could not have done on our own. Highly recommend this.
BEST TOUR EVER!!!!!!!
Chase_C, Apr 2024
Genie was the best tour guide anybody could ever ask for. She was so kind, patient and knowledgeable on everything. She was very attentive and was just so positive and fun the whole trip. We ate lots of food (I was stuffed and I have a big appetite), and drank tons of great wine. It was totally worth the money, being able to see 3 fantastic cities in one day and eat an all organic lunch. Props to Francesco for driving the giant tour bus through the narrow streets of Sienna with ease. They took great care of us and I highly recommend everybody to go on this tour, and to more importantly try and go with the amazing Genie because she was just amazing to be around. What are you waiting for?
Too much walking
Thomas_S, Apr 2024
Pros: seeing the beautiful Tuscan countryside, the beautiful town of Siena, Pisa, and the great lunch at the winery. Cons: TOO MUCH WALKING! You really should be up front about the amount of walking from the bus at every location... 10 to 15 minutes each way at every stop except the lunch. And at a very brisk pace! I would say the whole day was about 8 miles total walking. Another thing was the stated meeting point and return to meeting point... again it was a good 10 minute walk from Piazza Stazione (stated meeting point) to where we boarded the bus. And that spot was where we were left off at 9 pm in the dark. Not happy about that! Perhaps you should eliminate one of the stops so you could have more time at the others. Our guide was informative, friendly and funny. Driver was excellent. No one was prepared for the amount of WALKING, which, again, you should be upfront about in the tour description.
Ginny is the best!
Jass_S, Apr 2024
Ginny was our guide. She is the most wonderful guide we had during our trip in italy. Very knowledgeable and full of positive energy. Brought us happiness the whole day. Thank you Ginny!
Grate trip. Fare price.
Dennis_P, Apr 2024
This full day trip gives you an executional experience for a very fare price. You get a walking tour at every stop so bring your walking shoes.
Sunset at the top of Pisa
Heidi_N, Apr 2024
The guide and the visits were beyond our expectations. Pisa at sunset was remarkable. Can't say enough about this tour.
Incredible day tour!
Thanh_L, Apr 2024
Beautiful tour of Tuscany. It’s an all day tour so prepare to wear comfortable shoes and be gone all day. Siena, Sam Gimignano and the Winery are incredible. Lunch was very memorable as the hosts were very kind and provided a background of the beautiful property and the food was excellent. I even had seconds! Mirella our tour guide was great, very knowledgeable and kept us entertained during the ride with information about the region, important events and local history. I highly recommend this tour. Pisa was also a nice city to visit and enjoyed their Duomo and the leaning tower which we decided to climb. It was not a bad climb and very memorable. Mirella was a great guide. Highly enjoyed and recommend this introduction tour of the Tuscany Region, it’s incredible beautiful!
The good, bad, and the ugly
Rick_D, Apr 2024
My reviews are always about the good, bad, and the ugly. Cutting right to the chase, the good was absolutely our guide Sara. She was funny, knowledgeable, professional, and such a good person to be around. She is what truly made our trip memorable. If I could clone 5 more of her, what a world this would be. The bad was the lunch trip to the winery. This was almost like a cafeteria type of lunch. The food was a basic selection, although it was good. We could not walk around the winery like the picture showed others doing. We got there, got seated, ate, had the opportunity to go to the gift store, but that would have been so much better if we got to know something about the winery and what made it special to us. We got in the bus and left. No owners to talk to us, nothing really special there. The rest of the stops were self guided and amazing. There was fortunately no ugly with this trip. It is a long day so be prepared. Pisa was our favorite.
Perfect zday
Kathy_E, Apr 2024
Noela was an excellent guide for our tours. She had great communication skills and was very kind to everyone. Nando was also a skilled driver. The wine tasting and lunch was excellent. I would definitely recommend this Tuscany Tour.
Tuscany in a day
David_B, Apr 2024
This was an excellent trip which was made great by the guide Alessandro. I am disappointed in Viator though, conscripting local talent and riding on the locals knowledge and talent, and taking so much.
great tour!
cberubelaw, Apr 2024
Our trip was wonderfully lead by Claudia and the bus driver whose name I believe was Giusppe. Claudia was a great tour guide who gave lots of information and kept everything on track! The tour was a great way to see many sites and enjoy a wonderful lunch and wine at a vineyard which had glorious views. It would have been nice to have a bit more time in each place, however, it was impossible because we were seeing so much! I would definitely recommend this tour as an opportunity to see the area and learn about the towns that we visited. There is a bit of a walk to and from the bus which may make it difficult for older people or those who have some difficulty with mobility.
One of the best days!
Nick_B, Apr 2024
My wife and I absolutely loved this trip, one of the best we've ever taken. It WAS tiring but we crammed a lot in and saw the most beautiful places. Our lunch stop at the family-run organic farm, felt particularly special and idyllic. Our guide for the day, Mirella, was lovely and full of personality so please forward our gratitude to her.
