What To Expect

Board your coach in Florence, and travel into the hills of Tuscany where the city of Siena awaits. Opt to take a guided tour of the city with a visit to Siena Cathedral to admire its renowned Gothic architecture. Or, make the most of some free time to set your own pace, and perhaps enjoy a coffee in the sun alongside the locals.

From Siena, return to the Tuscan countryside to explore the Chianti wine region. Stretch your legs with a stroll through a vineyard, olive grove and wine cellar, and refuel with a Tuscan winery lunch. As you sit surrounded by the grape vines, meet other visitors to the area and indulge in local treats such as cold cuts of meat, salad, pasta and fresh bread. Even better, a wine tasting takes place at the same time (not included in the tour option without lunch, guests will instead spend more time in San Gimignano)'

After lunch, journey onward to San Gimignano with its medieval towers, cobbled streets and squares. Explore the town’s historic center, cool down with a refreshing gelato and wander amid the 14 towers as you learn about their history.

Travel from San Gimignano to Pisa: your final stop of the day. Follow your guide to Cathedral Square to discover Pisa Duomo, Pisa Baptistry, the monumental cemetery (aka Camposanto) and, of course, the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Return to Florence in the early evening, and finish your Tuscany tour with a drop-off at the start point.

Highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Lavinia was wonderful, she kept us informed and entertained for 12 hours! She was truly personable, and you could tell she enjoyed what she did. The tour was a ton of fun, be prepared for some walking but each town you visit is so different in history and character that alone we would never have been able to learn or discover. The wine/lunch add on is 100% worth it, we left with 6 bottles of wine and the food was delicious. The farm is such an extraordinary and beautiful place. We also did the Pisa tower add on, the climb is doable and the view from the top is really something. We watched the sunset from the top and it was very memorable.

Tour guides were great but by the time we got to Pisa it was dark and pretty much a waste of time. The trip was all day and needs to be Pisa first then work your way back to Florence. Had I have known we were getting to Pisa very late in afternoon I would have use someone else and got to Pisa in daylight hours

Our tour guide Manolo was the Best! He gave so much history and information to make the experience come alive. Friendly efficient and knew what to do. My only suggestion might be that Viator have in the description approximately how many hours

This was a magnificent tour. It was 12 hours total. Lots of walking! We loved every minute of it but may be hard for those who have trouble walking & getting around or with small kids. Naomi was an excellent guide

We had a fabulous day. The tour guide (Luda) and the bus driver were great. Luda was so knowledgeable. My husband left his camera on the bus and Walkabout tours and Luda were so helpful in getting it back to him. Luda also spoke great English and had a fun, energetic and kind personality. Lunch at the winery was a great, as well. The Viator ap was a great find.

Landscape was beautiful, lunch was great! I would definitely recommend this tour to others. My only complaint is that the bathroom is not open on the bus. We had two delays/impromptu stops for kids to go to the bathroom when there is a bathroom on the bus, it’s just not open.

I booked this trip after seeing all the good reviews and wanting to see Tuscany solo without having to book things on my own. This was a great way to do that - you get to see 3 small towns + get the history + a nice meal at a winery with great views. My only constructive piece of feedback is that I wish we had more time at the winery for lunch. I feel like I had to scarf my food down and barely finished any wine. Our tour guide, Naomi, was excellent!

Loved the trip. Didn’t love that other travelers didn’t respect the time to return at stops. This caused us to be late to Pisa and it was basically dark once we arrived. This was not the scheduled plan according to the guide so I can’t blame the inconvenience on them. I could have done without the visit to San Gimignano only because we’re not shoppers. We loved Siena, the tour was brilliant. The lunch at the winery was satisfactory. It was plenty of food and the wines were available to taste. We loved getting to see multiple places all in one day.

Our family (including a 12 year old and a 9 year old) had so much fun and learned so much about Tuscany on this experience! Luda, our guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable, and she made sure that all our needs were met throughout the day. The trip to the winery is worth the price of admission alone! Wonderful food, amazing (and abundant!) wines, and spectacular views! Fair warning that there is a lot crammed into the agenda, so the stops are short and sweet, with a good bit of riding on the bus in between. But it's a good way to experience a lot of Tuscany in a short amount of time. Highly recommend!

We had to catch up to the tour because we missed our train. Nevertheless we loved seeing the tower of Pisa. We also really enjoyed the winery and the scenery all over italy but the beat part of all was our tour guide Naomi. She is the absolute best!!! And Ella's was very helpful as well. We would highly recommend a tour with Viator!

Way too rushed and way too much walking including at the start and finish which is in the middle of nowhere, not at the train station as I think most people would assume. The lunch is very good with plenty of nice wine.
